The investigation focuses on advanced modulation strategies to optimize energy efficiency in Wireless Medical sensor Networks (WMSNs) within the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). The study addresses the balance between energy consumption and spectral efficiency, specifically targeting challenges associated with WMSN deployment in critical healthcare applications. The analysis rigorously evaluates energy consumption across various distances and modulation schemes, particularly in the presence of Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channels. Modulation techniques are categorized into linear and nonlinear types, allowing for a comprehensive examination of each class’s energy efficiency. The objective is to minimize energy usage while ensuring reliable and secure communication in remote healthcare systems through the optimal selection of modulation schemes and transmission parameters. The results offer significant contributions to sustainable healthcare technology, enhancing the operational lifespan of medical sensors without compromising data transmission quality.

In urban environments, the safety and wellbeing of citizens depend significantly on the efficient functioning of municipal services, particularly in the management of drainage systems and manhole lids. This paper introduces Corp Connect a ground-breaking mobile application designed exclusively for Municipal Corporation workers. Corp Connect aims to enhance coordination among team members, addressing and resolving issues in their respective areas, with a primary focus on ensuring the proper closure of manhole lids and monitoring toxic gases within drainage systems. The mobile application facilitates real-time communication, enabling municipal workers to coordinate effectively. IoT-based hardware module plays a pivotal role in enhancing safety measures. This module is adept at monitoring the status of manhole lids, ensuring they are securely closed to prevent accidents. Furthermore, it employs advanced sensors to detect and monitor toxic gases within drainage systems, providing early warnings to mitigate health hazards.

This study discusses the state-of-the-art advancements in approaches and systems of biomedical sensing used to implement distant healthcare monitoring. The performance and accuracy of wearable and implantable sensors as well as their compatibility with mHealth Apps is assessed in the study. The study includes the processing of data collected through wearable devices, implantable sensors, and health applications to evaluate sensor reliability, data aggregation, and system efficiency. As the study has demonstrated, wearable sensors such as heart rate sensors and activity sensors, both have close to perfect accuracy of 95% and, 92% respectively. Other implantable sensors, namely the glucose and pressure sensors, exhibit high accuracy levels of 97% and 96%, respectively, and a minimal latency level. The use of mobile health applications captures the data from the sensors in a very integrated manner with accuracy levels of 92-94%. These interactive conclusions stress the opportunity bestowed by biomedical sensing technologies in advanced chronic disease, eldercare, and other healthcare system arrangements. These and other innovations in the sectors of sensors, data merging, and artificial intelligence will furthermore improve the potential of remote monitoring systems. This paper establishes a foundation for the continuous development of biomedical sensing technologies, as a key constituent of remote health monitoring systems.

This paper presents the fabrication of an Active Integrated Phased Array Antennas (AIPAA) sensor system prototype utilizing Information, Communication & Energy transfer (ICEt) technology. Through the high-density integration of hardware components and software algorithms, this system enables adaptive adjustments in diverse scenarios, leading to optimal system performance. The proposed prototype demonstrates the capability to fulfill sensing, communication, and energy transfer tasks in various environments, including spacecraft exploration and river disaster warning systems. This research represents a significant step towards the development of advanced wireless sensor networks with ICEt technology for multifunctional applications.

This research is about Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) technology and its pivotal role in revolutionizing diabetes care. Leveraging data obtained from a comprehensive study focused on evaluating CGM’s efficacy in diabetes management, this study investigates the impact and potential benefits of CGM usage on patients’ health after collecting the real secondary data through online forms. The transition towards intelligent road infrastructure in smart cities has become inevitable, necessitating the inclusion of intelligence in traffic signs. Integrating advanced technologies into smart road infrastructure helps improve road safety, traffic management and the overall efficiency of the trans-portation system. Using smart traffic signs, real-time information can be provided to drivers. Additionally, integrating sensors and connectivity into traffic signals enables communication with vehicles, facilitating active safety measures and efficient traffic flow management. In this paper, we propose a driver assistance system based on I2V (infrastructure to vehicle) communication. This system is capable of detecting and even recognizing road signs using a code. The results obtained from our proposed method demonstrate its effectiveness.

A respiratory Pressure monitor is a digital monitor, which is simply structured, designed, and developed under the aegis of a pressure sensor. The maximum inspiratory and expiratory pressure is said to be the most sensitive parameter for the assessment of the respiratory strength of the human body. It is the simplest device to evaluate strength. Maximum Inspiratory Pressure (MIP) and Maximum Expiratory Pressure (MEP) is a direct measurement of strength. At present, Respiratory pressure monitoring indicative of muscle strength is the foremost part of treatment. The major aim of analyzing this is to get the actual value of MIP and MEP as an output for the age group between 20 to 40 years. The effective diagnosis of numerous victims having respiratory difficulties and different neuromuscular conditions can be done with the assistance of the proposed device. This device is functional for a quick assessment of inspiratory and expiratory pressures. Hence, it will be beneficial to medical practitioners as it will give insight into breathing problem symptoms like dyspnea and hypercapnia. It consists of a storage facility when connected to a PC. The device is calibrated against a standard U-tube manometer, reading pressures in centimeters of water column (cmH2O). A respiratory pressure monitor is a low-cost, accurate, and portable instrument, which can bring few supportive changes in the medical field.

This paper presents the design and implementation of an advanced wireless surveillance robot equipped with real-time feedback capabilities. The system utilizes a combination of hardware components such as Arduino Mega, ESP32-CAM, and sensors, along with software applications including Arduino IDE, Anaconda, and Telegram, to achieve its functionality. The robot is capable of capturing high-resolution images, providing live video feedback, detecting faces using machine learning algorithms, and sending alerts in case of emergencies. The integration of IoT technologies enables remote monitoring and control of the robot's movements and functions via web-based interfaces. The paper discusses the hardware setup, software requirements, design, and implementation steps involved in building the surveillance robot. Furthermore, simulation outputs and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and performance of the system in real-world scenarios. Finally, the paper concludes with suggestions for future enhancements, including AI integration for object detection, improved navigation using GPS and compass, and additional features for remote control via Telegram bot. This research paper provides insights into the design, implementation, and performance evaluation of an advanced wireless surveillance robot. The aim of the research was to develop a concept of a remote measurement system for air quality management using IoT for an apartment with a mechanical exhaust system. The constant monitoring system with the possibility of manual control by the occupants allows teaching the occupants how to chose optimal settings with the biggest impact on the air quality. Additionally, using cloud data analysis, the measurements can be compared with simulations performed before the building construction. This allows choosing the proper apartment depending on the foreseen occupancy schedule and the family size.

As the global population continues to rise, the demand for higher food production exerts increasing pressure on traditional irrigation systems, which often lack the precision and efficiency required to meet modern agricultural demands. This growing challenge imposes innovative solutions, such as the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology into agriculture, which has led to the creation of smart irrigation systems. These advanced systems utilize IoT-enabled soil moisture monitoring sensors to collect real-time data on key environmental variables such as soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and other atmospheric conditions. Through this data, farmers gain actionable insights that allow them to automate and optimize irrigation, eliminating the need for manual intervention. This study explores into the benefits of IoT-based soil moisture monitoring systems, focusing on the capabilities for remote management, automation, and adaptability to climatic conditions. Key features include real-time data for on-demand and timed watering, as well as the simulation of rainfall patterns, which ensure optimal soil moisture levels. These technologies do not only help conserve water resources and reduce labor requirements but also promote sustainable farming practices by minimizing resource wastage. By improving irrigation efficiency and enhancing crop growth reliability, IoT-driven systems contribute to addressing global food security challenges, ensuring the sustainability of agricultural practices in the face of population growth.
