This work reports the first CMOS molecular electronics chip. It is configured as a biosensor, where the primary sensing element is a single molecule "molecular wire " consisting of a similar to 100 G omega, 25 nm long alpha-helical peptide integrated into a current monitoring circuit. The engineered peptide contains a central conjugation site for attachment of various probe molecules, such as DNA, proteins, enzymes, or antibodies, which program the biosensor to detect interactions with a specific target molecule. The current through the molecular wire under a dc applied voltage is monitored with millisecond temporal resolution. The detected signals are millisecond-scale, picoampere current pulses generated by each transient probe-target molecular interaction. Implemented in a 0.18 mu m CMOS technology, 16k sensors are arrayed with a 20 mu m pitch and read out at a 1 kHz frame rate. The resulting biosensor chip provides direct, real-time observation of the single-molecule interaction kinetics, unlike classical biosensors that measure ensemble averages of such events. This molecular electronics chip provides a platform for putting molecular biosensing "on-chip " to bring the power of semiconductor chips to diverse applications in biological research, diagnostics, sequencing, proteomics, drug discovery, and environmental monitoring.

Medicines are a very important part of lives of human beings. Not only now but from a thousand years ago. Medical science has also proved its evidence in terms of medicines and the right diagnosis of diseases in time with the help of sensors. Right now, medical science has too much development. Biosensors has increased it demand as due to its real time monitoring in following areas: Biomedical diagnosis, drug monitoring, chemicals and many more Biosensors were introduced in the medical era in the 19th century. Researchers are trying to modify the sensors. Developing a sensor that provides fast response, accuracy and selectivity is a mega challenge. A sensor cannot be made without electric components. This paper tries to represent how various sensors are used in medical science Organ transplants, microsurgery, etc. are running successfully with the use of biosensors. In this work the impact of the use of various biosensors on human body is taken in to account. Multiple and mass transfer of magnetic particles and effect if infrared microscopy in the application of biosensors is considered taken in to account after covid 19.

Robots can perform various types of automated movements in the workspace. In recent years, robot applications have been expanded to a much wider scope, including robot machining, robot assembly, robot 3D printing, robot inspection, etc. Many of these applications require robots to have higher absolute accuracy compared with conventional robot part handling and welding. The capability to assess a robot's accuracy, and further, improve accuracy becomes important. In this paper, an advanced sensor and an accompanying methodology are developed that enable manufacturers to perform accuracy assessment to improve their robot systems. A smart target (patent pending) is developed at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This sensor is integrated with a vision-based measurement instrument to perform high accuracy measurements of six-dimensional (6-D) information (x, y, and z position, roll, pitch, and yaw orientation) for a moving robot arm. The smart target is motorized. It can constantly rotate toward the vision-based measurement instrument to maximize its line-of-sight. A use case is presented to demonstrate the accuracy degradation assessment by using the smart target on a Universal Robot.

The technological advancements in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones have made significant contributions in various fields, benefiting human society. Although WSNs have been widely used for environmental monitoring, their utility is constrained by inherent limitations, which make them suitable only for small-scale sensing tasks. On the other hand, UAVs provide quick access to large areas, including challenging terrains, allowing faster data collection that is both less labor-intensive and more cost-effective. In this paper, we present an efficient method to collect data for environmental monitoring using a drone-based mobile WSN system. The framework discretizes the region to be monitored into a 3D spatial-temporal field, where the field is further divided into sub-grids for the deployment of drones in each sub-grid. The drones utilize their built-in sensors to move around the designated region in a pre-defined trajectory to collect spatio-temporal data. In order to obtain parameter values at intermediate points within the surveyed region, interpolation techniques such as inverse distance weighting (IDW) and nearest neighbors (NN) are applied, ensuring comprehensive data coverage. To validate the feasibility of our proposed system, experiments are performed for temperature modeling applications using a simulated dataset, a real-world NYC weather dataset, and a real-time REST API dataset. The obtained results demonstrate that the proposed model is well-suited for large-scale sensing, even in remote areas, exhibiting cost-effectiveness and substantial reductions in labor and resource requirements, providing a robust and efficient solution for real-time environmental data collection and analysis.

It appears that the frequency bands used by the current mobile network are becoming increasingly scarce, making it impossible for it to meet the overwhelming demand brought on by the introduction of 5G and the rapidly growing popularity of IOT devices. It is evident that due to spectrum shortage, the traditional method of statically allocating spectrum to particular services or users became systematically inefficient and unsustainable. As a result, it is time for a wireless communication system to emerge that allows multiple users or wireless systems to share radio frequency spectrum in real-time and efficiently. It's DSS ( dynamic spectrum sharing), a revolutionary approach that allows different wireless technologies to dynamically share the same spectrum resources based on demand and usage patterns. This dynamic allocation is typically facilitated by advanced spectrum management techniques and intelligent algorithms that we are going to provide in this article in addition to the challenges that this technology has to face.

In this paper, we propose an effective and easily deployable approach to detect the presence of stealthy sensor attacks in industrial control systems, where (legacy) control devices critically rely on accurate (and usually non-encrypted) sensor readings. Specifically, we focus on stealthy attacks that crash a sensor and then immediately impersonate that sensor by sending out fake readings. We consider attackers who aim to stay hidden in the system for a prolonged period. To detect such attacks, our approach relies on continuous injection of 'micro distortion' to the original sensor's readings. In particular, the injected distortion should be kept strictly within a small magnitude (e.g., 0.5 % of the possible operating value range), to ensure it does not affect the normal functioning of the ICS. Our approach uses a pre-shared secret sequence between a sensor and the defender to generate the micro-distortions. One key challenge is that the micro-distortions injected are often much lower than the sensor's actual readings, hence can be easily overwhelmed by the latter. To overcome this, we leverage the observation that sensor readings in many ICS (and power grid in particular) often change gradually in a significant fraction of time (i.e., with small difference between consecutive time slots). We devise a simple yet effective algorithm that can detect stealthy attackers in a highly accurate and fast (i.e., using less than 100 samples) manner. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our defense using real-world sensor reading traces from two different smart grid systems. © 2021 IEEE.

Agriculture can be transformed into smart agriculture due to the advanced wireless network and the Internet of Things (IoT). As the human population increases, so does the demand for crops. With real-time monitoring, a smart agriculture system's awareness of soil moisture measurement, humidity, and environmental temperature will increase food security. In addition, smart agriculture can increase crop yield, reduce water waste, and boost productivity. In light of this, this study proposes smart agriculture, which employs sensor-based monitoring in real-time without human intervention. Users have direct access to real-time data, and all sensor data is recorded and monitored at all times and from anywhere within the internet's coverage area. The development of a mobile application facilitates growth monitoring and user access to data. This research measures yield-affecting agricultural factors such as soil moisture, humidity, and temperature. Nonetheless, monitoring environmental factors is crucial to increasing crop yields. The experiment was conducted on two chili plants, one with an automation system and one without, which were manually watered once daily at 7:00 a.m. It is estimated that the plant with the system can maintain the optimal moisture level, whereas the other plant's moisture measurement continues to decrease. Compared to manual watering, automatic watering also results in accelerated plant growth. Consequently, a smart agriculture system is anticipated to improve plant growth and system efficiency. © 2022 IEEE.

With the industrial reliability of the STM32 microcontroller and highly versatile temperature sensor to enhance the efficiency of BLDC motors in cooling applications. Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) are pivotal in modern applications, yet challenges such as energy efficiency and network lifetime remain critical. This paper proposes a Dynamic Energy-Efficient Clustering Algorithm (DEECA) utilizing hybrid metaheuristics combining Egret Swarm Optimization and Genetic Algorithms. The proposed method dynamically selects cluster heads and optimizes clustering based on node energy, distance, and traffic conditions. Simulations were conducted on diverse WSN scenarios to evaluate energy consumption, network lifetime, packet delivery ratio, and throughput. Results demonstrate that DEECA outperforms traditional algorithms such as LEACH, HEED, and PSO by achieving a 20% increase in network lifetime and a 15% improvement in packet delivery ratio. Visual analyses include energy consumption trends, coverage heatmaps, and multi-metric radar plots. The findings validate DEECA's capability to enhance energy efficiency and scalability in WSNs, offering a robust framework for real-world deployments in resource-constrained environments.

Implementing computer vision in road traffic management brings significant impacts, making transportation systerms more efficient, safe, and sustainable. This advanced technology analyzes real-time traffic conditions, providing crucial data for effective traffic management. Using computer vision, authorities can monitor traffic flow, detect incidents, and manage congestion more effectively. The primary aim of this paper is to explore the challenges and impacts associated with using computer vision in road traffic management while offering insights for future research and practical applications. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted, adhering to the PRISMA Flowchart Diagram methodology, to identify and evaluate relevant studies in this field. The systematic approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of the current state of computer vision in the transportation sector. The findings from this review underscore the transformative potential of computer vision in enhancing traffic management systems. Moreover, this work highlights several existing challenges that need to be addressed to maximize the benefits of computer vision. These challenges include the need for more advanced algorithms capable of handling diverse and complex traffic scenarios and integrating this technology with existing infrastructure. By identifying these challenges, the paper provides valuable insights for future research, emphasizing the importance of developing more robust and adaptive computer vision systems. Ultimately, this research aims to contribute to advancing computer vision in road traffic management, promoting safer and more efficient transportation systems worldwide.
