Effective microseismic event identification and classification form the bedrock of data analysis in microseismic monitoring systems, facilitating real-time source location, rockburst prediction, and mine safety. However, the complex mining environment necessitates preprocessing of sensor-collected microseismic signal data, plagued by noise. Traditional methods often yield inaccurate results when events exhibit similar traits. Machine learning's high precision separation proves promising, anticipating safety alerts by learning historical microseismic event patterns, and applying them to real-time data for predictive analysis. This approach mitigates inefficiencies and errors associated with manual recognition. Hence, machine learning has gained substantial traction in microseismic monitoring. This paper reviews recent machine learning applications in microseismic signal recognition and classification, addressing limitations of traditional methods, highlighting developmental disparities, presenting machine learning-based categorization, and summarizing advancements in signal recognition models. Lastly, the potential and challenges of machine learning in microseismic signal recognition are discussed. © 2023 IEEE.

The emergence and extensive development and deployment of Industrial Revolution 4.0 have distinctly transformed the methodologies of sports performance monitoring. Consequently, there has been an increase in the emergence of new and adapted technologies in various areas of sports, such as competition analysis, player performance analysis and many others. There are rich and heterogeneous sports performance analysis technologies, algorithms and frameworks which provide constant basis for elevating new horizons of sports technologies. Thus, this paper aims to encompass significant findings that will provide a comprehensive survey in this area. Previous surveys have extensively focused on various methodologies of sports performance analysis, sport-specific analysis and other technology revolving around sports performance analysis. However, most of the focus is largely on training and competition performances and not off-field. The objective of this paper is to understand the current research trends, challenges and future directions of dynamically evolving technology embedded in the world of sports. This survey aims at contributing to this rich repository but with a new focus element of off-field that researches the connection between the athlete, the sports aspect of their life, the non-sport aspect and the methodologies of sports performance analysis. In addition, the exponential growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a base for sports performance analysis systems and platforms is analysed extensively. This paper also presents a comprehensive classification of athlete performance analysis using algorithm tools and sports performance platforms and systems. Subsequently, the detailed analysis of this taxonomy has enabled the identification and detailed analysis of open issues and future directions.

In this Paper, we have studied and compared the performance of two different configurations of simulation model advanced MOSFET devices which can be used for biosensor application. The bio-molecules like protein, biotin, streptavidin, APTES, etc., undergo label free electrical detection with the help of dielectrical modulation technique in order to overcome the limitations of short channel effect in a more efficient way. The bio-molecules trapped inside the cavity region change the electrical parameters of the MOSFET. Biosensors based on MOSFETs have certain issues, like short channel effects (SCEs) and problems related to scaling and power supply. Therefore the proposed device is better withstand to SCEs and can be consider as an alternative for biosensing applications. For channel material, silicon is used for both the configurations i.e. with stack and without stack model and we have also studied the performance of the device based on the analog as well as RF parameters by considering the protein as bio-molecule in the cavity. Two different oxide materials are used to design the device structure such as HfO2 (K = 25) and SiO2 (K = 3.9) and for simulation purpose the 2D Sentrausu TCAD simulator has been used. The sensing capability of this proposed dielectric modulated device can be applicable for IOT based applications. They can also be uses in health IOT systems for medical research applications and as bio chip sensor in wearable device so as to study the protein content of the human body.

In this article, a novel H-shaped dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) placed on top of a cube DRA excited with a trapezoidal feed was analyzed for broadband applications. A ceramic material with a dielectric constant of 9.8 was used in the DRA structure design and placed on a NeltecNY9260 (IM) (tm) substrate measuring 55 x 55 x 0.715 mm3 to analyze the proposed antenna. From 4.0 to 8.1 GHz, the proposed antenna structure has a large impedance bandwidth of 67.7% with | S11 | -10 *** simulated antenna offers a maximum gain of 6.68 dB in the operating band. This antenna is useful for C-band, Wi-Max (3.3-3.7 GHz) and WLAN (4.6-5.8 GHz) applications. © 2022 IEEE.

Nickel-based spinel ferrites can be applied in the Ka-band with high resistivity ρ, high saturation magnetization 4πMs, and low ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) linewidth ΔH and are widely applied in satellite communications, missile guidance systems, and on-board or airborne imaging radars. In this study, NiCuZn ferrites (NCZF) with the composition of Ni0.505Cu0.1Zn0.4Co0.015Ho0.01Fe1.97-xO4-δ (x = 0.00 ~ 0.04) were synthesized by solid-phase reaction. The crystalline phase formation, microstructure, magnetic and microwave properties of NCZF with iron deficiency are reported. The results demonstrated that NCZF with x = 0.01 sintered at 1050 ℃ possessed high 4πMs (5.062 kGs), low ΔH (113 Oe), and high spin-wave linewidth ΔHk (25.6 Oe). © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Integrating sensing in a soft robot is still crucial to enable feedback response to environmental stimuli. This paper presents a single-wire soft sensor for multimodal tactile sensing designed to address the limitations of current technologies. The sensor integrates a stimulus-responsive hydrogel with a unique design that enables spatial and force sensing by leveraging changes in electromagnetic resonance properties. With a simplified structure, the sensor is fabricated with minimal wiring, maintaining flexibility and adaptability for various robotic applications. Experimental results demonstrate high accuracy in detecting contact points (up to 98%) and applied forces (96%) and a combined detection accuracy of 87%. This approach allows for distributed sensing within the robot or using the whole body as a sensing element, enhancing the system’s responsiveness to environmental stimuli and supporting advanced applications in physical intelligence.

The aim of the presented article is to design a high frequency 3db slinky power divider for RF sensor applications which operates at 6 GHz frequency. The material used for the design of proposed structure is FR4 material commonly used for PCB design. This material is identified to have medium refractive index in the order of 4.6 which ensures minimizes structure and compatible with the exciting systems. The purpose of the proposed power divider is to handle the power in RF sensor network to ensure optimal functioning at high frequency RF systems. The size and frequency handling ability of the power divider is confined to FR4 material due to the advantage of the compatibility of the available RF systems. The entire structure is mathematically analysed followed by numerical solving and fabrication. The design of novel 3db slinky power divider for RF sensor applications at high frequency which provides higher bandwidth that can be appreciated and recommended for real time wireless sensing networks. This work starts with the understanding of Electromagnetic fundamentals for RF system design and its parametric properties like Insertion Loss, Return Loss, current distribution, Near Field Crosstalk (NFC), Far Field Crosstalk (FEC), radiation pattern and Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR). Literature survey on various power divider for real time applications are studied. The need for the power divider circuits in RF sensors are identified and proposed a 3dB slinky power divider. Numerical solving of the proposed structure is done using the simulator and the validation of obtained results with the previous finding are done. Proper material selection is done based on the industry used products. advanced Design System (ADS) is used for simulation and parametric study of the power divider. The insertion loss with frequency plot with resonant frequency of 8.912 GHz is presented along with the return loss verses frequency plot. The proposed power divider is covering the frequency

An abstract argumentation framework (af) is viewed as a directed graph such that graph vertices represent abstract arguments while graph edges denote attacks between these arguments. We say that a set, S, of arguments, are conflict-free if and only if for every (x, y) ∈ S× S, x does not attack y. A set, S, of arguments of a given af, is called a stable extension in af if S is conflict-free and such that every argument outside S is attacked by an argument inside S. To the best of our knowledge, a thorough mathematical analysis of the truth of what so-called characteristic functions (which are an essential component in generating all stable extensions of a given af) is not previously addressed in the literature. Piezoelectric polymers are valued for their ease of fabrication and integration into devices, making them highly promising for self-powered systems and sensor applications that rely on converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. However, their relatively low piezoelectric performance compared to piezoelectric ceramics has limited their practical use. In this study, we present Te-doped PVDF piezoelectric nanofiber mats fabricated through electrospinning, demonstrating enhanced piezoelectric properties. Flexible piezoelectric nanogenerators (PENGs) incorporating 8 wt% Te in PVDF show a notable increase in output voltage, from 1.2 V to approximately 4.2 V, under a 5 N pressure at 3 Hz. This improvement allows the fiber mats to effectively convert mechanical energy into electrical energy, generating an instantaneous output power density of around $45.7 \mu \mathrm{W} / \text{cm}^applications$ , making them suitable for self-powered sensing and energy harvesting applications.
