This paper explores the innovative integration of acoustic monitoring of servo presses with machine learning algorithms to improve predictive maintenance strategies in industrial environments. Our research focuses on the application of advanced acoustic sensors to capture and analyze servo press acoustic data, which is critical in forming and pressing operations. This acoustic data serves as a key indicator of machine health, potentially revealing signs of wear or failure before they occur. We present the implementation of machine learning models trained on historical acoustic data, highlighting how these models can identify patterns indicative of machine degradation. The goal of this predictive approach is to optimize maintenance schedules, reduce downtime and extend the lifetime of industrial equipment. It also addresses the inherent challenges and limitations of applying artificial intelligence in this field. These include issues related to the quality and quantity of data required for accurate modelling, the complexity of real industrial environments, the ongoing need for AI system maintenance, and the risks associated with over-reliance on automated systems. Our findings suggest that while integrating servo press acoustic monitoring with machine learning offers significant potential for improving predictive maintenance, it requires a balanced approach that combines technological innovation with human expertise. The paper concludes with recommendations for future research and practical implementation strategies in industrial settings.

One key challenge of cybersecurity of discrete event systems (DES) is how to ensure system resilience against sensor and/or actuator attacks, which may tamper data integrity and service availability. In this paper we discuss decidability issues related to smart sensor attacks. We first present a sufficient and necessary condition that ensures the existence of a smart sensor attack, which reveals a novel demand-supply relationship between an attacker and a controlled plant, represented as a set of risky pairs. Each risky pair consists of a damage string desired by the attacker and an observable sequence feasible in the supervisor such that the latter induces a sequence of control patterns, which allows the damage string to happen. It turns out that each risky pair can induce a smart weak sensor attack. Next, we show that, when the plant, supervisor and damage language are regular, it is possible to remove all such risky pairs from the plant behaviour, via a genuine encoding scheme, upon which we establish our key result that the existence of a nonblocking supervisor resilient against all smart sensor attacks is decidable.

In crude oil process vessels, precise control of oil and water levels is vital. In oil refining, high-voltage electrostatic coalescers create strong electric fields for desalting and dehydration, which may disrupt electrical level measurements. Stilling wells improve measurement conditions and shield devices from external electrical interference. This paper proposes enclosing electric tomography- based level measurement technology within a perforated stilling well to counteract high-voltage grid effects. Electrical Tomography (ET) enables comprehensive real-time monitoring of material distributions in various environments, such as pipes, tanks, and vessels. The ET probe sensor provides information on liquid levels within separators, identifying water-emulsion, emulsion-oil and oil-gas interfaces. The probe sensor is confined by a rather narrow stilling well to investigate its effects on measurement accuracy. The stilling well, with an inner diameter of 91.3 mm, accommodated a probe with a diameter of 59.0 mm. The system was tested with 11 different configurations of stratified liquids so that its level measurement capabilities were assessed with water, emulsion, oil and gas. In general, ET measurements within stilling wells are very localized since the proximity of the metal wall of the stilling well affects the electric interactions between the electrodes. The test results showed that the measured information still contains a sufficient amount of information so that the conductivity profile and subsequent interface levels can be estimated with good accuracy. The Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) across all interface levels in the entire series of test cases was 20.6 mm. This equates to approximately 1% of the length of the measurement area. This is of the same order of magnitude as in standard test measurements in identical conditions but without the stilling well. Electrical Tomography is well-suited for real-time measurement of various interface levels in challenging

According to this paper, the design of the production controlsystem of bacillus cereus based on wireless sensors is proposed, with the aim of solving the growing market demand of bacillus cereus by standardizing the systemcontrol process. The host computer designs the main modules, it includes the parameter configuration, interface services, fermentation tank control process, video display and so on. The modules are designed through configuration software. In practice, the design tries to solve the control of human factors, such as personnel operation lag and irregular operation for the fermentation tank. At the same time, the corresponding parameters and control processes that need to be detected are proposed in the fermentation tank controlsystem, which can provide a certain reference for other production controlsystem developers. In summary, the design of the bacillus cereus induction system based on wireless sensors can enhance the accuracy and speed of bacillus cereus fermentation tank operations, improve the problems of untimely and error in personnel management, and at the same time, reduce production management costs under the premise of improving production efficiency.

With the accumulation of high-precision star sensor models year by year, testers have put forward higher requirements for the low degree of automation of the star sensor ground test system, high maintenance costs, and difficulty in centralized management. In this context, it is very important to develop a simple and easy-to-use automated test system for star sensors. This project uses a standard Ethernet interface and a custom communication protocol to study an automated test system to improve test efficiency and quality. Through the python+Flask framework, the React technology of the web front-end and Webpack packaging technology are specific development methods, the Postgresql database storage technology is used, and the front-end interaction method is used to complete the development. The later development efficiency is high, and the maintenance cost is low. This article specifically introduces the principle of the system, functional modules and the design of the database. The results of the system use show that the project basically reached the original design goals and met the basic requirements of the testers. The system has the characteristics of reasonable structure, friendly interface, and easy maintenance.

Leveraging both the autonomy of robots and the expert knowledge of humans can enable a multi-robot system to complete missions in challenging environments with a high degree of adaptivity and robustness. This paper proposes a multi-modal task-based graphical user interface for controlling a heterogeneous multi-robot team. The core of the interface is an integrated multi-robot task allocation system to allow the user to encode his/her intents to guide the heterogeneous multirobot team. The design of the interface aims to provide the human operator continuous situational awareness and effective control for rapid decision-making in time-critical missions. Team CSIRO Data61 came in second place utilizing this interface for the DARPA Subterranean (SubT) Challenge. The ideas used for this user interface can apply to other multi-robot applications.
