Natural resources such as water, oil and gas are an integral part of human life and the problem of uneven regional distribution of natural resources is often solved by means of industrial pipeline transport. Industrial pipelines are characterised by long transmission distances and complex environments, so it is difficult to detect whether a pipeline is faulty in real time. This system proposes a method to measure the flow and pressure data in the pipeline using a combination of multiple sensors, and then transmit the collected data to the host computer through a Zigbee wireless network and save it to a Mysql database in the cloud, so that the wireless sensor network can be installed underground or in other complex environments. The SpringBoot framework is also used to provide data visualisation pages for remote clients, thus significantly improving the efficiency of pipeline maintenance. © 2022 IEEE.

The traditional attitude measurement algorithm is accompanied by the high measurement cost of the attitude sensor while drilling, the difficulty of data acquisition, and the strong interference of the test environment during the testing process. This paper proposes a virtual six-axis attitude sensor while drilling. Based on the MATLAB platform as the host computer and the National Instruments (NI) data acquisition card as the lower computer, this paper realizes the design of the virtual measurement-while-drilling attitude sensor. MATLAB GUI was used to design the system interface, the callback function was used to link the attitude inversion algorithm for data calculation, the computer interface was connected to the data acquisition card to complete the data output, finally, a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system was formed. The system can be used to preliminarily verify the attitude correction algorithm of down-hole drilling tools, provide a theoretical basis for its compensation scheme, and reduce problems such as excessive cost in the process of instrument development by simulating the working environment. The test results show that the output data error of the designed virtual-while-drilling attitude sensor is less than 0.4% and has high accuracy. © 2022 IEEE.

The need for effective and economical irrigation techniques has increased dramatically, especially in areas with few freshwater supplies. Water waste is still a major issue, mostly because of ineffective methods of watering plants. This research presents a clever method to maximize plant watering as a reaction. A thorough database outlining the different plant species' daily water needs is included into our suggested system. Based on real-time information such as the time of day, humidity levels, and soil moisture, it decides when to water. This creative method encourages wise energy use while simultaneously protecting valuable freshwater via prudent use. Our approach uses a combination of sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to collect plant data in a systematic manner, assess watering requirements, and then apply effective watering techniques. An intuitive mobile application interface makes adoption easier and allows for continuous irrigation system management and monitoring. The study's findings are particularly repeatable since the used sensors are readily available and reasonably priced. Even though the experimental validation is carried out on a smaller scale, such a tunnel farm, the results show that the suggested method may be used to bigger areas for efficient irrigation. Tests conducted in comparison with comparable sensor-based irrigation systems and manual approaches consistently demonstrate our method's higher performance. This study establishes the groundwork for sustainable and scalable irrigation techniques while simultaneously addressing the issue of worldwide water shortage. © 2023 IEEE.

The traditional electric window opener has the problems of low efficiency and single control mode. In view of the above shortcomings, an intelligent electric window opener control system based on multi-sensor fusion is designed. The system uses data acquisition, data processing, wireless communication, remote control, and other technologies to realize the real-time monitoring of environmental status through the fusion of temperature, light intensity, smoke, rain, and other sensors. When the monitoring data reaches the set value, the intelligent window opener will automatically open or close. The whole system is based on an STM32 single-chip microcomputer and uses the ESP8266 Internet of things module to realize the remote monitoring and control of the platform. In the aspect of window opening motor control, the proportional integral derivative (PID) is used to control the DC motor for the accurate window opening. The experimental results show that the overall operation of the system is stable, the response is rapid, the sensor accuracy is high, the system error is less than 5%, and the long-term operation shows good stability and reliability. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The agriculture sector in India has been dealing with issues in amplifying the yield usefulness from past many years. The poor performance of agricultural monitoring of crop categories is one of the reasons for slowing down process of agriculture in India. The yield of a crop is more often determined by the amount of water available. We propose IoT based soil monitoring system, with which growers can inspect soil moisture, temperature, and humidity data on an Android mobile application. It also makes the provision for the user to get informed about crops, that are suitable according to the season, soil quality and other parameters in that region. This project aims to develop a system for monitoring soil parameters in real-time using the ESP32 LilyGO TTGO sensor. The system's low-power mode and deep-sleep capabilities ensure long battery life, making it ideal for deployment in remote areas with limit power availability. This paper presents a cost-effective and dependable solution for monitoring soil parameters that could prove beneficial to the agriculture industry, environmental monitoring, and soil research. We have developed an app to enhance user experience and make the use of our product even more accessible. The app is designed with a user-friendly interface that provides seamless navigation and easy access to all features of the product. With this app, users can control and monitor the product's functionalities from their mobile devices. The app offers a range of features, including real-time data monitoring, remote control, and automated alerts for critical events. © 2023 IEEE.

The Oil and gas industry is continuously searching for a digital transformation and evolution to Industry *** plans to complement it whit cutting-edge technologies that positively impacts the installation processesof electro submersible pumping systems (ESP). A few years ago, there wasn't a system capable of giving continuous and on real time ESP downholediagnosis during Run in Hole operations under any weather conditions and without interruption, situationthat usually generated nonproductive times, by not having the ability to identify an electrical fault at theinstant it occurred. To reduce periodic stops of the drilling RIG and not to prolong working hours checking electricalconditions, a digital solution was developed with real-time failure identification warning of any electricaland mechanical condition associated with the system (CABLE-MOTOR-sensor) during installation. Thesystem is composed by wireless connection to obtain background sensor data reading, with instantaneousfault indicator and web interface, in addition to downloadable data logging that is compatible withoutconnectivity limits for Smartphones and Laptops. By using the system while installing, the time of exposure of personnel to electrical and mechanical risksis reduced by 75% from 4 hours to 1 hour per service and a considerable saving of 16% was obtained inthe total time of completion under normal conditions;in the event of an electrical failure with immediatedetection, a saving of up to 40% could be achieved. Considering the volume of operations in the country,an economic benefit of US$ $840,000 per year can be obtained. The development and implementation testswere successful, and it was determined to expand the use of the tool during services to increase customerbenefits and reduce non-productive times. © 2023 Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). Wireless mesh networks are increasingly deployed as a flexible and low-cost alternative for providing wireless services for a variety of applications including community mesh networking, medical applications, and disaster ad hoc communications, sensor and IoT applications. However, challenges remain such as interference, contention, load imbalance, and congestion. To address these issues, previous work employ load adaptive routing based on load sensitive routing metrics. On the other hand, such approach does not immediately improve network performance because the load estimates used to choose routes are themselves affected by the resulting routing changes in a cyclical manner resulting to oscillation. Although this is not a new phenomenon and has been studied in wired networks, it has not been investigated extensively in wireless mesh and/or sensor networks. We present these instabilities and how they pose performance, security, and energy issues to these networks. Accordingly, we present a feedback-aware mapping system called FARM that handles these instabilities in a manner analogous to a control system with feedback control. Results show that FARM stabilizes routes that improves network performance in throughput, delay, energy efficiency, and security. © 2022 Global IT Research Institute-GiRI.

The crop-picking system plays a key role in automatic picking. In this study, a set of crop-picking robot grasping system based on convolutional neural network (CNN) was designed by using deep learning technology. Firstly, a variety of preprocessing methods are used to expand and process the image data to ensure the diversity and integrity of the sample data. Then, CNN and gradient descent (GD) algorithm were combined to optimize the training model to identify the types of crops accurately. Then, the lidar used ToF (Time of Flight) technology and AGglomerative NESting(AGNES) algorithm to obtain the key positioning points. After excluding invalid cluster centers, the identification results were accurately located. The experimental results show that compared with the 3D pose estimation method of the manipulator based on multi-view, the calculation error of the 3D coordinates of crops is smaller, and the reasoning speed for a single image is only 0.000316 seconds. Finally, the comprehensive accuracy of the system reaches 97.58%, which provides practical technical support for automatic crop picking.

Addressing the challenge of classifiers' diminished detection performance stemming from class imbalance in industrial control system anomaly detection, this paper introduces a CWMAGAN-GP oversampling model that is based on generative adversarial network. To maintain trainability, this model sets up a non-numerical column output layer using the Gumbel Softmax activation function in the generator and an embedding layer in the discriminator. Meanwhile, it incorporates a multi-head attention mechanism to augment the network's capacity to capture crucial information and enhance feature extraction. Furthermore, the loss function has been augmented with the Wasserstein distance and gradient penalty to improve the stability of its training. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of our suggested model, we performed experiments using the UNSW-NB15 and NSL-KDD datasets. The experimental results conclusively showcase the model's substantial capacity to bolster the detection performance of machine learning detection models.

Project BROADCAST will deliver a new class of powerful soft, biomimetic systems that can interact with their environment in a save, bio-inspired way. The approach is based on major advances in the production technology of dielectric elastomers (DE) circuitry, new soft electronic materials, and new approaches in signal processing. BROADCAST investigates multi-functional DEs that drive robotic structures based on bio-inspired electro-mechanical control strategies such as central pattern generators, autonomous peristalsis, locomotion and similar others. This requires new materials for flexible electrodes and sensors that provide curtailed electrical and electro-mechanical properties, such as Young's modulus, conductivity and piezoresistivity. These materials will provide new features in robotics such as sensorless system where the DEA will act both as an actuator and a sensor by providing continuous feedback in real-time.
