Conventional agricultural practices encounter alarming challenges, such as diminishing water resources, and extreme weather conditions, resulting in reduced crop productivity and food availability for the rising global population. So, precision agriculture which is characterized by the integration of advanced cutting-edge technologies with agriculture, emerges as a strategic key for solving these challenges. The main objective of this research is to encourage everyone to indulge in farming and ease the agricultural processes. The urban population lacks familiarity with farming and faces time and space constraints. Whereas the passionate farmers who strive to adopt technology in agriculture face challenges due to the complexity of the interfaces and also language barriers. So, this paper addresses these problems by creating an IoT-based monitor and control system where the monitoring part uses a network of sensors to collect the field's environmental conditions. This data is sent to the cloud platform, where it is presented in clear visualizations, enabling the users to understand the crop conditions, trends, and needs. The system is controlled remotely using voice commands in various languages. Hence it provides enhanced accessibility to the users with hands-free interaction using voice commands and global accessibility. Integrating IoT technology in agriculture reduces water consumption by 35% and boosts wheat and rice crop yields by 20%. This integration enhances overall efficiency, achieving a 90% improvement. © 2024 IEEE.

When attempting to meticulously conduct fault detection and isolation, inferential sensing approaches can prove to be valuable tools, as they constitute cost-effective and reliable alternatives to expensive and often impractical measuring devices. In this work, we combine advanced model-based sensor selection and inferential sensing techniques to yield accurate fault detection outcomes, in the presence of system noise and uncertainty. In this regard, the most informative sensor set is chosen, by comparing all possible sensor combinations, based on various optimality criteria that extract the maximum knowledge from the system in functions of the Fisher Information Matrix. Subsequently, optimal inferential sensors are derived, by means of genetic and mathematical programming that incorporate symbolic regression and optimization techniques. For builtin test deployment, k-Nearest Neighbors (k-NN) classification is employed to assess the accuracy of each sensor network, as well as the performance enhancement due to the inclusion of inferential sensor(s). The proposed methods are applied in steady state and dynamic models of a cross-flow plate-fin heat exchanger system for various levels of measurement noise and uncertainty. The results illustrate that the augmented system of composite sensors (i.e., inferential and hardware) provide more accurate information on system fault(s), while reducing the evidence of uncertainty and system noise.

Telemonitoring, telemedicine, and telerehabilitation are becoming essential technologies for improving health-care. Particularly useful for assessing the physical and cognitive status of frail individuals, telemonitoring has applications in elder care and neurodegenerative disease management. This study presents a smart room prototype for medium to long-term telemonitoring of frail subjects. The system captures real-time video/data from various sources, processes it with advanced AI, and displays the results for real-time viewing and control. Its modular architecture includes components like pressure floors and sensorized mattresses, integrated via a web-based interface. The system effectively evaluates subject interactions in the sensorized environment, with real-time Mobility and Sleep Indexes to track activities.

Simultaneous recordings of neural activity at massive scope, in the long term, and under bio-safety conditions, could provide crucial information, which helps in better understanding the operation mechanism of the brain and promotes the clinical application evolution for the brain-computer interface. For this purpose, a multi-channel neural signal recording system is presented, which can record up to 2048-channel neural signals by multiple connections of a customized collection system. The system consists of a sensor array module, a central controller module, and an upper computer module. Using the modular design method, the sensor array module can be contrived by changing the number of channels. The single-channel data acquisition module has a sampling resolution of 16 bits, and a sampling rate of 30 KSamples/s. The central controller module can establish a connection between the sensor array module and the upper computer module, and control their operations. The upper computer module can display the data results. The system verifies the performance of the multi-channel data acquisition through the analog neural signal.

This is an innovative automatic fish feeder that combines the usage of solar power tracking and internet of factors (IOT) era to enhance the performance and effectiveness of feeding fish in aquaculture systems. Most of the revenue to the Indian government is in the form of aquaculture. So in this project it is proposed that this system to expand the production of fishes in a smart way. This feeder system utilizes a solar panel to generate electricity that powers the feeder's motor, and a tracking system ensures that the solar panel is always facing the sun for maximum energy conversion. The IoT component allows the feeder to be remotely controlled and monitored through a smartphone app or web interface, providing real- time data on feeding schedules and food consumption. this can also measure the temperature of water whether it is suitable to health condition of fish. By using solar energy tracking and IoT technology, the feeder can be programmed to dispense food at precise intervals and the feeding schedules can be easily adjusted to meet the specific needs of different fish species. Additionally, the IoT component allows for remote control and monitoring of the feeding process, which can reserve some time and improve the accuracy of the feeding process. © 2023 IEEE.

The day-to-day operations are associated with gardening or farming. During farming and gardening, the fundamental practice was the watering of plants. Irrespective of the weather conditions, the principal theme of this project is to limit the wastage of water that reaches plants. Advance watering structures need to be correctly pre-owned to water and save the life of plants on every occasion there is a requirement of watering. In general, the manual method contains a human required to water plants. But by using the necessary components, we designed a system by which we can water only the needed amount of water. Here, an automated plant watering system is created to replace the manual methods. It reduces human efforts and makes work easier, required, and at the right time. An automated plant watering system reduces water consumption. An advanced system in gardens, farms, or big agriculture fields all the vegetation attain its fullest would-be. Relay, soil moisture sensor, DC pump motor, and Arduino UNO were components used in this project to implement the automatic plant watering system. This system backend contains the code used to sense the moisture levels of soil. If the moisture content is less than the specified programmed value’s whichever had predefined in the program according to the particular plant requirements then the desired amount of water is supplied till it reaches the programmed value. Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common disease with impaired motor skills, in which frozen gait is characterized by sudden onset, and clinical evaluation is difficult to some extent. To this end, we construct a multi-node real-time monitoring wearable system of movement information for quantitative assessment of PD frozen symptoms. The system is composed of wearable devices, relay endpoint and supporting host computer. The wireless transmission network of multi-motion sensor node data is realized by using Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) technology. Seven inertial sensors are worn on patients' upper limbs, lower limbs and waist respectively to realize synchronous acquisition of multi-position motion information under free movement condition. In addition, data processing algorithm is integrated on the nodes, which relieves burden of the relay endpoint, and provides an interface for online evaluation and closed-loop control of PD action block. The device has the characteristics of multi-information, micro-load and wide range of activity, and clinical tests show that it can effectively distinguish patients' daily exercise status. In so-doing, we lay the foundation for maximizing the interpretable information on gait analysis and for further research into the application of wearable technologies in PD management.

The incorporation of touch screens in the control and monitoring of Industrial systems has substantially improved operational efficiency and user adaptability. This paper describes, developing and implementing an affordable scalable industrial device management system based on the ATmega328P microcontroller and a 7 inch DWIN touchscreen. The system allows real-time interactions with industrial devices such as sensors, actuators, and controllers, enabling powerful real-time monitoring and intuitive control of complicated processes. The ATmega328P is used as the CPU of the system and is the interfacing unit with industrial sensors for temperature, humidity, and pressure data, thereby allowing high precision real time data collection. Monitoring and controlling operations are performed from an advanced graphical user interface designed for the DWIN touch display. The GUI is designed to include customizable widgets such as active buttons, data panels, and gauges, enhancing user interaction. The communication between the microcontroller and the display is realized by robust serial communication and ensures an easy and reliable transfer of control and monitoring information. The system is intended to be modular, scalable and flexible for various industrial applications. By focusing on low-cost system implementation and including user-friendly design elements and real-time access to data, the solution makes a promising impact on the operational inclusiveness of the system particularly for people with physical disabilities. This work emphasizes the game-changing prospects of modern industrial automation and control systems through the integration of simplified hardware and complex software systems.
