The use of traditional plug-in charging techniques in hybrid and electric combat vehicles poses a major drawback in adversarial and dynamic battlefield situations. These techniques impede mobility, involve physical connections, and pose risks of wear, breakdown, and delays in operations. To address such limitations, this research suggests an electric vehicle (EV) wireless charging system optimized for defense operations. The system combines wireless power transfer technology, real-time monitoring using IoT-based systems, and smart relay activation to facilitate smooth, contactless charging both in transit and at rest. Onboard voltage sensors continuously monitor battery levels and automatically initiate power transmission from a specialized charging hub when necessary. By doing away with human intervention and physical connectors, this system reduces downtime, guarantees fault-free power delivery, and maximizes the operational readiness of military forces. The proposed solution is focused on enhancing mobility, safety, and efficiency while offering a rugged and versatile source of power in contemporary defense contexts.

This work presents a battery-free wireless temperature sensing chip for long-termly monitoring the food production environment. A calibrated oscillator-based CMOS temperature sensor is proposed instead of the ADC-based power-hungry circuits in conventional works. In addition, the sensor chip can harvest the power transferred by a remote reader to eliminate the use of battery. Meanwhile, the system conduct wireless bidirectional communication between the sensor chip and reader. In this way, the temperature sensing chip is fabricated in 55 nm CMOS process, and the reader chip is implemented in 65 nm CMOS technology. Experimental results show that the temperature measurement error achieves $\pm 1.6^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ from $25^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ to $50^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$, with battery-free readout by a remote reader.

A stair-climbing wheelchair can notably enhance the autonomy in terms of mobility for the aged and disabled. This paper presents a data-driven system identification approach and a vision-based heading control algorithm for reliable operation of a stair-climbing wheelchair. We develop a track-based wheelchair model and propose a methodology for autonomous stair traversal. Modeling the dynamics of track-based systems is a challenging task. Hence, a data-driven approach based on the Observer Kalman filter Identification/Eigensystem Realization Algorithm is employed for modeling the complex dynamics of the system. For developing an affordable system, low-cost sensors such as Microsoft Kinect and IMU are utilized. We employ a computationally efficient image processing algorithm, and the heading angle is controlled using Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR). The effectiveness of the proposed methodology for a safe stair traversal is verified in the ROS-Gazebo environment.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution, also known as Industry 4.0, represents the culmination of all the transformations experienced by the industrial world. Consumer demand continues to rise, coupled with the expectation of higher quality at lower costs. The concept of Industry 4.0 emerged from a contemplation initiated by the German government in 2011, which became the subject of extensive research in academic and industrial circles within the country. Industry 4.0 follows in the footsteps of three previous industrial revolutions (1.0, 2.0, and 3.0). It is considered disruptive as it aims to imbue the manufacturing system with intelligence, through interconnected and intelligent factories, products, and services. The work presented in this paper revolves around applying the principles of Industry 4.0 to a prototype of an industrial production line. The endeavor comprises two essential components. One is dedicated to the practical realization of the prototype, utilizing electronic components capable of connecting to Wifi. The proposed system relies on advanced flame sensor technology for prompt and accurate fire outbreak detection. Upon detection, real-time fire data is transmitted to a cloud-based platform, ***, for comprehensive monitoring and analysis. This division allows for targeted intervention and efficient resource allocation based on the severity and location of the fire. The flame sensors used in this system have a range of up to 100 meters, allowing for extensive coverage of forest areas. Soft landing on weightless asteroids is challenging in space exploration missions. This paper proposes a cable-driven landing gear system (LGS) with rigid-flexible coupled structures (RFCSs) for the soft landing of a spacecraft on asteroids. The cable-driven mechanism improves the compliance of the spacecraft’s landing legs and has the merits of being lightweight and compact. The RFCS minimizes the impact force of the landing legs when crashing the asteroid’s surface. We designed a three-legged LGS and formulated its kinematics and dynamics. We conducted simulations and experiments of a simplified spacecraft prototype. The results showed that the spacecraft can safely land on rough slopes, with the legs contacting the ground at different sequences. The collision speeds of $10-50 \mathrm{~cm} / \mathrm{s}$ are verified. This study provides a new idea for the landing and operation of these cable-driven RFCS probes in a weightless environment. The results are valuable for the design of asteroid landers and their stabilizing control.

Due to the growth of the IoT, conventional agriculture is evolving into an IoT based smart agriculture system(Internet of things). In order to monitor the environmental parameters and boost the effectiveness of agricultural system, a service platform for agriculture is being developed. Different Climatic Condition Parameters must be closely monitored in agricultural fields like greenhouses in order to control crop production. Climate change has already demonstrated its detrimental effectsprimarily as a result of changes in temperature, rainfall shortages or surpluses, and other relevant environmental fluctuations. Researchers and business personnel are paying more attention to wireless sensor networks. As opposed to mobile Wi-Fi modules and Bluetooth communications, Low-power LoRa technology offers extremely long transmission distances (up to 15 km) with minimal power consumption (measured in milliwatts).
