This paper presents the development and implementation of an IoT-based Smart Home Automation system using intelligent sensors. The system integrates various sensors, such as motion detectors, temperature, and gas sensors, along with microcontrollers (NodeMCU, Arduino) to automate household appliances. The objective was to enhance convenience, energy efficiency, and security by automating control based on real-time data. During the testing phase, the system demonstrated significant energy savings, with an average reduction of 15.8% in energy consumption. The response time of the system averaged 232 milliseconds across all sensors and actuators, ensuring quick response to changes in the environment. sensor accuracy was measured, and the temperature sensor showed an average deviation of only 0.48%, while the light and gas sensors had deviations of 0.58% and 0.42%, respectively, indicating high reliability. User satisfaction surveys conducted over one month showed an overall satisfaction rate of 8.7/10. These results affirm that the system is effective in providing reliable home automation, reducing energy consumption, and offering users a responsive and easy-to-use interface. The system can be easily scaled and adapted to future smart home applications by integrating additional sensors and devices.

Global navigation satellite systems readily provide accurate position information when localizing a robot outdoors. However, an analogous standard solution does not exist yet for mobile robots operating indoors. This paper presents an integrated framework for indoor localization and experimental validation of an autonomous driving system based on an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) model car. The global pose of the model car is obtained by fusing information from fiducial markers, inertial sensors and wheel odometry. In order to achieve robust localization, we investigate and compare two extensions to the Extended Kalman Filter; first with adaptive noise tuning and second with $\chi^sensor-\mathbf{testing}$ for measurement outlier detection. An efficient and low-cost ground truth measurement method using a single LiDAR sensor is also proposed to validate the results. The performance of the localization algorithms is tested on a complete autonomous driving system with trajectory planning and model predictive control.

India's livelihood depends on agriculture, and the integration of advanced technologies, especially machine learning has the potential to increase the efficiency and security of precision agriculture. The system uses IoT sensors to monitor and add real-time soil parameters such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), pH, electrical conductivity (EC), organic carbon (OC), and other elements to energy supply. Provide a better understanding of soil health and the environment through geospatial data through APIs. This data is securely sent to the cloud, where it is analyzed using machine learning by large language models (LLMs) trained on different agricultural data to generate crop recommendations. The recommendations guide farmers in choosing the best crops, planting plans, fertilization, and permaculture methods, promoting economic savings and sustainable agriculture. Hosted on a shared website, the system provides instant integration of IoT sensors, cloud infrastructure, LLM servers, and user interface, providing farmers with efficient, data-driven insights to improve decision-making and support agriculture that can contribute to long-term food security, safety and environmental sustainability.

Nowadays, Home automation has acquired a significant attention due to its potential to enhance convenience and efficiency in managing household systems. This paper presents a novel method to home automation utilizing the MQTT protocol, with a system is implemented using three ESP32 nodes and a Node- Red server is running on a Raspberry Pi, enabling users to control from Raspberry Pi as well as client terminals. The proposed system enables the users to control and monitor home appliances remotely from anywhere. By using the lightweight MQTT protocol, the system provides the real-time communication between the nodes and the server, ensure responsive control and data monitoring. The implementation of ESP32 nodes provides the flexibility and scalability, while Node-RED provides the user friendly interface for system management. Experimental results show the system effectiveness for maintaining reliable connectivity between nodes and server, also providing actionable insights into appliance usage. This work highlights the potential of MQTT-based home automation systems to provide enhanced control and monitoring capabilities in modern smart homes.

The development of maritime transport is characterized by the use of a wide variety of ships and marine equipment. Increasing their efficiency requires the use of SCADA, with the help of which thousands of parameters are controlled. SCADA systems solve the following tasks: hierarchical control, analysis and arrangement of controlled parameters, creation of a database, a system for diagnostics of ship equipment. The article discusses the main features of the SCADA created by the authors, with the main attention being paid to the interface. The research shows that synchronization is crucial for reducing power disturbances and assuring the dependability of shipboard electrical systems. While automatic synchronization shows promise, our studies reveal areas that need improvement, namely with sensor precision and timing inconsistencies. By providing these data, we enhance the comprehension of how synchronization affects the safety and operational efficiency of maritime vessels, emphasizing the necessity for continuous improvement of shipboard power systems. This paper contributes to the field of electrical engineering by highlighting the importance of improving synchronization techniques for marine applications and other industries that depend on dispersed power systems.

This paper designs and implements the perception layer, network layer and application layer in the framework of environmental monitoring system. To minimize the bit error rate of free space optical communication (FSO) system under the limitation of multi-mode Gaussian background optical noise field and the energy efficiency of the received optical signal, an adaptive photoelectric array signal processing algorithm for intensity modulation/direct detection (IM/DD) is proposed. Design and implement sensor data acquisition circuit, main control processor and peripheral circuit, system communication interface circuit in environmental monitoring system hardware. The data storage part mainly realizes the storage and processing of data, which involves cloud platform technology. The server platform realizes the final webpage display and large screen display, and the key technologies are communication technology. The analysis and simulation results show that the system can greatly reduce the computational complexity while the performance loss is almost negligible.

Robot-assisted vascular interventional surgery can isolate interventionists and X-ray radiation, and improve surgical accuracy. However, the leader side outside the operating room still has problems such as incomplete collection of operating information and unrealistic tactile feedback. The main objective of this paper is to design a haptic interface that can simultaneously capture the force-position information of the interventionists and generate force to assist the interventionists in performing surgeries on the leader side. It can capture the interventionists’ delivery displacement, twisting angle, clamping force, and provide real-time force feedback. A leader-follower bidirectional force feedback control strategy was proposed. Based on this strategy, on the one hand, the interventionist perceives the multi-modal information fed back from the follower side, makes judgments, and actively adjusts the surgical operation. On the other hand, the interventionist controls the grasping state of the instruments remotely to control the safety operating force threshold. Finally, the experimental setup was built and a series of evaluation experiments were performed. The experimental results verified the feasibility of the designed haptic interface. It can generate dynamic and accurate force feedback and realize leader-follower grasping force control.

This article presents the development and evaluation of a 3D digital twin dashboard for improved monitoring and control of smart buildings based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The proposed system integrates various IoT sensors to collect real-time data from multiple building systems. Performance testing showed that the dashboard can maintain an average frame rate of 54 fps with a rendering latency of 133 ms and an interaction latency of 72 ms under various conditions. control function tests showed success rates of 98-99% across different systems, with average response times between 0.7 and 2.3 seconds. The accuracy of the monitoring functions was between 98% and 99%, with average latencies between 0.7 and 5.3 seconds. These results show that the 3D digital twin dashboard is a powerful tool for intelligent building management that increases operational efficiency and user satisfaction. This research contributes to the advancement of smart building technologies by providing a comprehensive, user-friendly interface for real-time building management and control.

The implementation of an advanced Driver Assistance system (ADAS) for electric vehicles used in transporting pediatric patients in a hospital setting can significantly enhance safety and comfort. This study aims to develop and implement a Fuzzy Logic-based advanced Driver Assistance system (ADAS) to enhance the safety of electric transportation for pediatric patients in hospitals. The system utilizes Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) sensors and rotary encoders to detect distance and speed, while employing fuzzy control to regulate braking and avoid collisions. Testing of the ADAS with fuzzy logic yielded promising results in improving the safety of electric vehicles for pediatric patients. This is evident from the system's ability to swiftly respond to dynamic obstacles and effectively manage braking across various LIDAR detection ranges. The fuzzy system facilitates more flexible handling of uncertainties in dynamic environments, which is particularly crucial in a hospital setting with considerable activity and movement. The test results indicate that the sensors and fuzzy algorithms used in the system had a low error rate, with the highest being 5.90%. The system performed well in various dynamic and static conditions, stopping within the targeted distance in all scenarios. However, under loaded conditions, the speed during moderate braking fluctuated slightly (16 cm/s to 14 cm/s) at moderate PWM. Usability testing suggests that the system is generally well-received by users, although there remains room for further improvement.
