This study deals with the task of optimizing wireless charging systems for Electric Vehicles (EV) by focusing on minimizing energy losses and charging effectiveness utilizing inductive power transfer (I). The setup incorporates an sensor network to accurately detect, ensuring precise coil. Moreover, it utilizes Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO), a reinforcement learning framework, to dynamically adjust parameters coil alignment and input based on analytical findings. Furthermore, a Battery Management system (MS) regulates charging profiles, while rectification and power conversion guarantee steady DC output. The control and sensing circuit triggers charging only upon confirming vehicle alignment, with the PPO analysis model enhancing energy transfer efficiency by up to 94% while minimizing power wastage. The system also integrates safety features such as over protection and temperature monitoring. The practical significance of study lies in its ability to offer a more efficient and user-centric EV charging, catering current and future market demands.

Intravenous (IV) therapy is a critical component of modern healthcare, yet traditional IV systems are prone to human errors, manual adjustments, and limited monitoring capabilities, which can jeopardize patient safety and hinder healthcare efficiency. This paper presents the development of the Smartdrip IV Infusion system, a sophisticated and automated solution that integrates advanced sensors, control algorithms, and intuitive user interfaces to address these limitations. The Smartdrip system minimizes human intervention, provides real-time monitoring, and automates fluid administration with enhanced precision and safety features. The system demonstrates high reliability through simulation and prototype testing in detecting anomalies, issuing alerts, and ensuring accurate infusion rates, thereby improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare provider workload. The results validate the Smartdrip system as a transformative approach to optimizing IV therapy in diverse clinical settings.

This paper introduces an advanced charging control system for a Multiple Impact Water Wheel (MIWW) used in pico-hydropower generation. The control system maximizes energy conversion efficiency by employing a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm, which dynamically adjusts the system's operation based on real-time voltage and current measurements. Unlike traditional methods that rely on monitoring rotational speed, this approach simplifies the system by eliminating the need for speed sensors, thereby reducing costs and enhancing reliability. The control system is structured into four main operational phases: the water turbine acceleration phase, optimal control (MPPT) phase, drooping characteristic suppression phase, and overvoltage protection phase. Each phase is designed to optimize distinct aspects of system performance, ensuring stable and efficient power generation under varying water flow conditions. Experimental validation was conducted by subjecting the system to three different water pressure levels (0.036 MPa, 0.048 MPa, and 0.042 MPa). The results demonstrate that the system successfully maintained stable voltage and current, even during rapid fluctuations in water pressure, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed MPPT algorithm. By addressing the challenges of droop characteristics and overvoltage conditions, the control system ensures the reliability and efficiency of pico-hydropower systems. This research contributes to the development of cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions, especially in regions lacking conventional power infrastructure.

At present, the latest technologies in the field of sensor, computing, and wireless communication technology have allowed the creation of a wide range of new applications in various fields, such as the transportation involved in civil and military operations, intelligence systems, personally used communications, industrial and health care automation. Although the mechanical image of the automobile, since its beginning, does not seem to have changed much, the industrial structure is now converging towards the revolution in advanced automation and information technology. Therefore, the GPS based navigation systems are very common these days such as;parallel parking driving assistance technology, the control system for an adaptive cruise, and warning system for changing the lane. This advanced technology has a lot of applications in improving the infrastructure of the traffic, like the automatic collection of toll taxes, monitoring of vehicles, an early warning system for road accidents, etc. This research work discusses the supporting technologies and advancement for intelligent transportation systems. Later in this paper, it is verified that by improving the efficiency and service flexibilities the energy consumption and total cost in the transportation system can be reduced. © 2021 IEEE.

Industrial exoskeletons are becoming increasingly important for preventing workers from developing musculoskeletal disorders when performing manual material handling. Because the exoskeletons are task dependent, there is versatility of use in the performance according to the type of movement that the user executes. The user command interface is a wearable device for industrial exoskeletons. It is an adaptable setup system between users and occupational wearable robots. The main purpose is to provide access to users in some domains of the exoskeleton configuration system. Areas such as secure user identification, parameter configuration, and signal visualization are well structured in the interface. Shoulder-sideWINDER is an active exoskeleton for shoulder support that was developed in collaboration between XoLab and the Italian Worker’s Compensation Authority. This exoskeleton requires a guided calibration process before the operation. In this paper, we present an evaluation of two novel features of the UCI: (a) tutorial and (b) audio notifications for calibration. These new features are integrated into the upper-limb industrial exoskeleton Shoulder-sideWINDER. Participants performed experiments to assess the interface comprehensibility and usability of the tutorial and sound notifications by wearing the Shoulder-sideWINDER exoskeleton and the user command interface. The results presented in this study show that the user command interface is a highly intuitive control device that guides the calibration sequence of the exoskeleton.

A novel on-chip inductive detection sensor has been developed, offering a pioneering method for identifying solid metal contaminants in hydraulic oil. The design features an ultra-high-throughput microchannel with a rectangular cross-section and incorporates a double-core coil resonant technique to create a broad magnetic field area with high sensitivity within the sensor. The detection unit comprises two opposing solenoid coils embedded with permalloy, which produce a high-gradient magnetic field. A rectangular channel with a cross-sectional area as large as $\mathbf{6}\ \boldsymbol{mm}^{\mathbfsensor}$ runs between the two magnetic core coils. Compared to traditional micro inductive sensors, this new design increases throughput by nearly two orders of magnitude, reaching 120 mL/h. Employing the ultra-high-throughput microchannel and the resonance measurement method, we have enhanced the detection limit for iron particles to $\mathbf{30}\ \boldsymbol{\mu}\boldsymbol{m}$ and increased the lower detection limit for copper particles to $\mathbf{80}\ \boldsymbol{\mu}\boldsymbol{m}$ , maintaining high sensitivity for mixed samples.

Software-defined Networking (SDN) has been implemented in Internet of things (IoT) networks to attain centralized control and improve network management. However, the SDN centralized approach can be compromised by malicious sensor nodes engaging in activities like message dropping or flooding, which can negatively impact the network’s functionality. The security measures in the IoT networks are often based on an idealized trusted environment, which is not practical due to resource constraints and high computational requirements. In this paper, we proposed a lightweight cryptographic approach for detecting potential security threats in wireless fog-enabled SDN-IoT network named as FogIoT. To improve detection of attacks on control plane traffic, the proposed approach examines the credibility of network nodes using reliability metrics and a reliability index. We also propose an acknowledgment-based mechanism to capture reliability and used a weighted averaging approach to determine the confidence index for nodes to ensure credibility. We demonstrated a simulation study to analyze the performance of the lightweight cryptography algorithm and results from simulations show that FogIoT is effective in detecting various types of attacks such as sink-hole, denial of service, and reputation-deceptive.

When a navigation systems are developed, lots of tests have to be performed. If a simulator is available which can generate signal and data of real environment, huge amount of time and cost can be reduced for development. In this paper, a simulator design method is proposed for GNSS/INS integrated navigation system using a general-purpose PC and OTS interface boards. In order to verify the proposed design method, a simulator of GPS L1 C/A and HG1700AG58 is implemented using a PC with intel i7-8700 CPU, USRP 2952-R, PCI-1780U-AE, FSCC/4-PCIe and LabVIEW2015. The implementation results show that GNSS signal and IMU data can be used for GNSS/INS integrated navigation system design.
