Based on the project framework of “High end Testing Equipment and Systems - Key Technology Research and System Development of Industrial Acoustic Imager”, this study proposes a time-frequency analysis based method for extracting and diagnosing partial discharge characteristics of industrial acoustic imager. The method achieves efficient extraction and accurate diagnosis of partial discharge features by in-depth analysis of the time-frequency characteristics of acoustic signals and combining advanced signal processing techniques. In the detection accuracy experiment, the detection accuracy of normal signals reached 92 0 /0, and the recall rate of partial discharge signals was 95%. From the experimental data conclusion, it can be seen that the time-frequency analysis method performs well in terms of detection accuracy and is suitable for partial discharge detection and diagnosis in complex industrial environments.

Due to the real-time measurement required for image processing in practice, image processing technology is increasingly supplemented by hardware, such as using DSP (Digital signal processing) chips (image processing specific chips). However, when storing and processing large amounts of data, using DSP for image processing also has problems such as slow processing speed and poor real-time performance of the system. This article combines the embedded cache module in the IP core of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) with the read/write ping-pong structure to store and retrieve image data, in order to save memory space on the chip. The relatively simple algorithm functions and parallel computing of FPGA, combined with a pipeline structure, shorten the image preprocessing time and solve the problem of poor real-time image processing. The experimental results show that due to the increase in workload, the static power consumption of FPGA algorithm design only increased from lW to 1.242W, while the static power consumption of traditional design increased from 1.009W to 1.578W; The dynamic power consumption of FPGA algorithm design has increased from 1.005W to 1.489W.

This paper considers adaptive radar electronic counter-counter measures (ECCM) to mitigate ECM by an adversarial jammer. Our ECCM approach models the jammer-radar interaction as a Principal Agent Problem (PAP), a popular economics framework for interaction between two entities with an information imbalance. In our setup, the radar does not know the jammer’s utility. Instead, the radar learns the jammer’s utility adaptively over time using inverse reinforcement learning. The radar’s adaptive ECCM objective is two-fold (1) maximize its utility by solving the PAP, and (2) estimate the jammer’s utility by observing its response. Our adaptive ECCM scheme uses deep ideas from revealed preference in micro-economics and principal agent problem in contract theory. Our numerical results show that, over time, our adaptive ECCM both identifies and mitigates the jammer’s utility.

Spatial modes provide a potential dimension to boost the capacity of free-space optical (FSO) communication systems. Various modal basis sets can be used. For a given aperture size, complete orthogonal modal basis sets can provide higher capacity compared to incomplete modal basis sets, but are more sensitive to FSO channel impairments, such as atmospheric turbulence. In this invited paper, we review our recent progress in using advanced digital signal processing algorithms for the implementation of high-capacity mode-division multiplexed FSO communication systems when employing complete modal basis sets. Besides turbulence, the relatively high inter-mode crosstalk from a commercial multiplexer/demultiplexer has been taken into account. By employing adaptive loading at the transmitter side and/or advanced multiple-input multiple-output detection algorithms at the receiver side, record-high single-wavelength transmission data rates and spectral efficiency have been achieved over both turbulence-free and turbulent FSO links, where all key devices are commercially available.

Quantum secure communication technology, grounded in the principles of quantum mechanics, has revolutionized traditional cryptographic methods, which predominantly rely on mathematical algorithms and logical transformations. Quantum key distribution (QKD) facilitates the secure sharing of symmetric keys between legitimate parties, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of information in communication channels. Among various QKD schemes, continuous variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD) has emerged as a viable alternative to the more established discrete variable quantum key distribution (DV-QKD). CV-QKD boasts several advantages, including straightforward deployment, reduced operational costs, and stable signal quality, positioning it as a significant component of the quantum communication *** noise stream cipher (QNSC) represents a technique that employs redundant data streams to encrypt plaintext. Notably, QNSC shares structural similarities with the optical path used in quantum key distribution, allowing for compatibility with existing QKD infrastructure. Furthermore, the keys generated through quantum key distribution ensure absolute security, enabling them to substitute the data streams produced by pseudo-random sequences traditionally used in classical encryption schemes. This substitution enhances the overall security framework of the quantum noise stream encryption *** quantum access network (QAN) extends quantum key distribution capabilities from point-to-point connections to point-to-multipoint configurations, thereby becoming an essential component of contemporary network architectures. Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communications can provide real-time services with reduced latency, which makes them ideal for applications requiring timeliness, such as Internet connectivity, remote monitoring, and disaster response. In this paper, we study a problem of information freshness optimization for such a scenario. Usually, this is quantified through the age of information (AoI) metric, but the typical scenarios involve a homogeneous time horizon, where transmission can take place indifferently at any instant. In reality, LEO communication may be severely influenced by its intermittent connectivity, which is not present for long time windows where line of sight with the satellite system is absent. Thus, we consider a problem of AoI-minimal scheduling for a finite horizon, solved via dynamic programming, where intermittent connectivity is accounted for, and addressed through different approaches. Moreover, we quantitatively evaluate the impact of different parameters on AoI and derive practical considerations for empirical setups.

Discriminating between original texts and machine translations involves identifying whether a text was originally authored in the target language or generated through machine translation. To our knowledge, all methods to date depend exclusively on text-based features. In this study, we move beyond this unimodal approach by incorporating speech features. Machine-translated texts display linguistic deviations from original texts, such as those in lexicon and syntax, which can also manifest in speech characteristics. We evaluate the effectiveness of using text features, speech features, and their bimodal fusion to train classifiers capable of discerning original from machine-translated texts. Additionally, we explore various classification algorithms and fusion techniques. Our results show that speech features alone surpass chance accuracy, while combining text and speech features enhances performance beyond text-only methods. Furthermore, although no single classification or fusion method proves consistently superior, advanced fusion techniques outperform simple feature concatenation.

This paper first introduces the direct method of classical power spectrum estimation, and then proposes two improved classical power spectrum estimation methods: Welch Method and MultiTaper (MTM) Method. Then the Maximum Entropy Spectral Estimation (based on Burg) in parametric spectral estimation is introduced. Then the power spectrum is extended in the spatial domain, and two kinds of spatial spectrum estimation methods, MUSIC Method and ESPRIT method, and their improved algorithms are introduced. All of the above methods have been simulated in Matlab environment. We have compared various spectrum estimation methods in detail, and analyzed and summarized their respective advantages and disadvantages. Finally, the paper points out the shortcomings of current power spectrum estimation and the future development direction. © 2022 IEEE.

Tool Condition Monitoring (TCM) is an integral part of realizing intelligent manufacturing. In the field of TCM, a single model may be insensitive to a certain category, resulting in poor performance of the model. In order to identify tool wear state more accurately, a combination model based on weight distribution is proposed. The acoustic emission signals acquired in milling are taken as examples. The process of feature extraction is described. After constructing the data set, BP neural network, Elman neural network and SVM are used as sub models to identify the tool wear state. With the minimum error as the optimization objective, the weight of each sub model is assigned by PSO algorithm. The weighted combination model is established. The superiority of combination model is verified by the validation set, and its generalization performance is tested by the test set. The weighted combination model has been proved to be effective. As the components of this model can be replaced by different algorithms or sub models, it provides a new idea for the follow-up research. © 2022 IEEE.

Diffusion models have demonstrated exceptional ability in modeling complex image distributions, making them versatile plug-and-play priors for solving imaging inverse problems. However, their reliance on large-scale clean datasets for training limits their applicability in scenarios where acquiring clean data is costly or impractical. Recent approaches have attempted to learn diffusion models directly from corrupted measurements, but these methods either lack theoretical convergence guarantees or are restricted to specific types of data corruption. In this paper, we propose a principled expectation-maximization (EM) framework that iteratively learns diffusion models from noisy data with arbitrary corruption types. Our framework employs a plug-and-play Monte Carlo method to accurately estimate clean images from noisy measurements, followed by training the diffusion model using the reconstructed images. This process alternates between estimation and training until convergence. We evaluate the performance of our method across various imaging tasks, including inpainting, denoising, and deblurring. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach enables the learning of high-fidelity diffusion priors from noisy data, significantly enhancing reconstruction quality in imaging inverse problems.
