In order to effectively determine the normal working status of smart home appliances, this paper realizes the recognition of washing machine's working states based on audio signals of microphone array (6 sensors). The paper proposes a fusion classification method combining optimizing STFT features and LSTM, and compares multi-channel feature fusion and voting classification methods. Determine the relatively optimal frequency resolution feature by changing the frequency resolution of STFT. The multi-channel feature fusion classification method is to concatenate the features of six different channels, input them into the LSTM network model for training, and obtain a comprehensive LSTM classifier. Voting fusion classification method: Train a LSTM network model independently for each channel's feature, and obtain 6 corresponding LSTM sub-classifiers, and then vote for the predicted classes of 6 channels corresponding to the same sample to obtain the fusion classification result. A vertical axis washing machine is taken to verify the proposed method, the experiment results show that both fusion classification methods have better performance than single channel methods. Compared with the multi-channel feature fusion method, the recognition rate of the multi-channel feature fusion method is slightly higher than that of the voting classification method, with a maximum of 99.7%.

Wide usage of Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar systems as part of advanced Driver Assistance Systems in recent years have led to the problem of mutual interference mitigation between radars on the road. Modern interference mitigation algorithms should keep their high performance in different road conditions during various strength interference and simultaneously not distorting the useful signal and its complete processing in predictable time limits. This paper proposes an algorithm of interference detection and signal recovery based on principal signal estimation for FMCW radars satisfying specified requirements. Principal signal estimation is used to replace the task of interference detection in the presence of strong reflected target signal with the task of interference detection in the presence of the noise-like weak reflected target signal. Using the principal signal estimation as a source signal for signal recovery allows to mitigate artefacts, that are caused by interference zeroing in Range-Doppler map, to avoid false alarm and missing targets masked by these artefacts. The provided performance assessment and real road tests verify that the proposed interference mitigation solution benefits existing iterative solutions, i.e. better signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio improvement and less missed and false detections. It ensures a predictable processing time due to non-iterative structure.

The demand for enormous storage devices has kept increasing, leading to the development of various advanced technologies with a vast storage capacity. Extensive numbers of related research studies have been aiming at optimizing code design and algorithms analytically; however, enacting them on practical devices has been scarce. Achieving this demand might bring some obstacles called two-dimensional interference and skew angle (SA). To meet the challenge of the obstacle, we propose a SA detection method for bit-patterned magnetic recording systems by computing a specific target by three readback sequences before estimating the SA value and detecting the SA amount happening in the system using an application of neural network namely multilayer perceptron. An error correction code, low-density parity-check, is applied, and its decoder outputs a log-likelihood ratio whose probability density distribution is examined. The simulation results show that the sliding window technique can significantly provide a better bit error rate performance.

This simulation study aims to compare the physical layer performance of the 5th Generation (5G) New Radio Non-Terrestrial Networks (NR NTN) air interface with Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) technologies, specifically analyzing the Second Generation Satellite Extensions (S2X) standard on the Downlink (DL) and DVB- Return Channel via Satellite 2nd generation (RCS2) standard on the Uplink (UL). The study assumes a reference geosynchronous satellite telecommunication system operating in the Ka-band frequencies. The comparison analysis of the physical layers demodulation performance on the Forward (FWD) link reveals an average spectral efficiency decrease from 15 to 26% for NR PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel) in comparison to DVB-S2X. The analysis of the Return (RTN) link indicates comparable performance between NR PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel) and DVB-RCS2, with a marginal advantage for either technology based on specific study cases. The conclusions drawn from the performance comparison emphasize the potential for optimizing NR waveform configuration to improve spectral efficiency and reduce implementation losses through enhanced channel estimation and phase tracking algorithms. Moreover, this study outcome advocates for the completion of the physical layer comparison with System Level simulations of both technologies. This would make it possible to consider additional implications such as nonlinear amplification effects, control plane overhead, and scheduling efficiency.

Photoplethysmography (PPG) signal provide advanced and simple ways for estimating heart rate (HR) information as an unremarkable system on wearable devices. In this paper, we analyze the performance of adaptive filter and machine learning (ML) algorithms for estimation of HR during physical activity. Three cascades recursive least square (RLS) and cascades normalized least mean square (NLMS) adaptive filters are developed and combined using convex combination scheme to reduce motion artifacts (MA) from the recorded PPG signal. Then, ML based spectral tracking algorithms is applied, to locate the spectral peak corresponding to HR. Four different supervised ML algorithms (Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree, K- Nearest Neighbor and Logistic Regression) are examined to track the spectral peaks and the decision tree out performs all three algorithms with an accuracy of 98.96%. Experimental results on the PPG datasets including 23 subjects used in the 2015 IEEE signal processing cup showed that the proposed approach has a very good performance by achieving an average absolute error (AAE) of 1.98 beats per minute (BPM) and the personal correlation coefficient of 0.9899. AAE result proved that the proposed method provides accurate HR estimation performance in comparison with other existing works.

The concept of Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a priority in wired and wireless information networks, mobile telecommunications of the 4th and 5th generations, modern digital television standards. Increasing the complexity of communication systems, expansion bandwidth requirements are important components of choosing the optimal characteristics signal converters for solving tasks and reducing the amount of Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware resources used. The article presents aspects mathematical modeling of a communication system with OFDM. The technique of modeling the main functional transformations in the Simulink environment and the study of the bit error rate is given. The researches of Hardware Description Language (HDL) implementation of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithms are presented.

In this paper, a genetic algorithm (GA) is used to optimize the performance of multiband fractal antenna with complex geometry, which is designed by using visual basic scripting; manually designing antennas with complex geometries, such as fractal antennas can be time-consuming for researchers. In this work, we propose the application of the scripting tool to design the Sierpinski carpet fractal antenna with advanced iteration; the antenna has a maximum gain of 27.21 dBi and has six frequency bands of 2.06 GHz, 4.42 GHz, 5.07 GHz, 6.47 GHz, 8.25 GHz and 9.80 GHz with good return loss of -26.7 dB, -22.27 dB, -27.28 dB, -23.73 dB, -17.20 dB and -26.46 respectively, Simulations showed promising results in terms of gain and multiband characteristics suitable for several applications.

Sign language, the vibrant tapestry of hand gestures and facial expressions, is the lifeblood of Deaf and hardof-hearing communities. For millions of signers, American Sign Language (ASL) runs deeper than communication, fundamental to identity, expression, and belonging. And yet an unshakeable communication gap leaves users of ASL frequently marooned away from the hearing world, kept from education, healthcare, or employment, or from basic, everyday transactions. By posing this new unsolved challenge to the power and promise of Artificial Intelligence (AI), this work leads the way towards closing that chasm by real-time recognition and translation of full ASL. Our approach employs a novel variant of Random Forest and utilizes cutting-edge video processing techniques to identify and understand the nuanced, often exquisitely delicate detail of ASL signing, at unprecedented levels of accuracy, and at speed. Another layer of innovation that characterizes our work is our integration of augmented reality (AR). By embedding AR along with our translator of artificial intelligence tech, we intend to completely change the way American Sign Language (ASL) is conveyed by directly engraining our already robust Random Forest model and advanced video processing techniques to project the ASL translation directly into your visual field in real time. The goal to demystify this complex and vivid language and, in doing so, to remove the communication barriers that persist between the Deaf community and the rest of the world, thus, fostering inclusion.

In the era of big data, software algorithms are improving rapidly, and machine learning algorithms are also widely used. In doing so, transmitting signals from quantum devices will also contribute to research on machine learning technology. Traditional machine learning networks face the problem of low efficiency and slow response when processing large amounts of complex data. Quantum computing technology offers supercomputing power to compensate for this shortcoming. Based on the advanced development of quantum machine learning and quantum computing technology, this paper combines machine learning technology. Integrate the regenerated kernel Hilbert space to complete the composition of the architecture, effectively improving the computational performance of machine learning.
