Modern extreme adaptive optics (ExAO) systems achieving diffraction-limited performance open up new possibilities for instrumentation. Especially important for the fields of spectroscopy and interferometry is that it opens the possibility to couple light into single-mode fibers (SMFs). However, due to their small size, efficient coupling is very sensitive to the quality of the fiber alignment, beam drifts and higher-frequency tip-tilt aberrations caused by telescope mechanics and vibrations. These residual aberrations are not always sensed and corrected by the adaptive optics (AO) system, leading to unacceptable losses. This is particularly severe for the Extremely Large telescopes, where their huge structure will mean vibrations increase and optimal AO solutions are even more difficult to implement. We have created a focal plane sensor to correct for residual aberrations by surrounding the SMF with six Multi-mode fibers (MMFs). On each of the MMFs sits a printed freeform lens, making up a six-element micro-lens ring (MLR) to refract the light into these surrounding MMFs and thus minimizing light loss in the gap between the fiber cores. This means when the beam is near diffraction limited and centered almost all light couples to the SMF. When the beam is misaligned, it couples to the surrounding cores, which are read out by a detector and processed by the Durham Adaptive Optics Real-Time control (DARC) software driving a tip-tilt mirror. Currently we are aiming to detect and correct only tip-tilt aberrations. However, choosing to surround the central fiber with six sensing locations potentially allows us to investigate higher order correction modes. Here we present the design and performance our prototype system. This has been designed for use with the iLocater fiber injection system at the Large Binocular telescope and can easily be scaled to larger telescopes. For Hyperloop passenger systems, we are discussing the problem of ensuring the tightness of a passenger capsule due to ultra-low pressure in the tube of the system. Based on the example of a particular system, we calculate the estimated time for the expiration of air from the capsule in an emergency situation. As a result, we are discussing several ways to improve the level of passenger safety associated with the leakage problem. © 2018 IEEE.

Internet of Things integrates sensors, actuators, gateways, cloud and applications to create advanced control systems thereby minimizing human interaction in the system. This technology fuses digital devices into our daily lives, creating a huge social and economic impact thus emerging as a major disruptive technology. An architectural framework used in this technology permits integration of very large number of devices. The architectural necessity is to achieve better interoperability, device management, communication, connectivity, data collection mechanisms, security and scalability. This paper provides a synopsis of various layered and system architectures that have been proposed in literature with some hardware and software elements for the implementation of a complete Internet of Things ecosystem. The paper pattern of introducing conventional architectures with the hardware and software components, strengthen the idea of the architectural requirements of Internet of Things. It further reviews the research perspective and the industrial perspective of implementing Internet of Things architectural reference models. The problem solving approaches of novel research and industrial architectural models such as IoTA, IIRA, WSO2 and CISCO are described and compared on the basis of their architectural descriptions. Finally, it discusses the longevity of the reference architectures to converge to a widely acceptable Internet of Things architectural reference model. © 2018 IEEE.

A dedicated synchronization bus has been developed and integrated into the FITPix COMBO device. It can be used as Timepix read-out (involving back-side-pulse acquisition) or as a simple spectrometer device - Spectrig (when an external single pad sensor is connected, e.g. Delta E detector). The synchronization bus permits the implementation of a system of up to 32 distinct devices running in clock locked mode while the absolute value of the timestamp is distributed to all devices in the system. Any combination of Timepix or spectrometer devices (up to 32) can be connected-up to create a final measurement set-up. The synchronization bus has also been designed to control a trigger signal and busy signal to allow an effective filtration of unpaired events when coincidence measurement is performed. The system has been tested with a Delta E-E telescope consisting of a thin detector and Timepix. The thin detector has been used for Delta E and the Timepix detector for E measurements. The Delta E detector has an area of 10 x 10 mm(2) and a thickness of 12 mu m with non-uniformity of 8%. The area and thickness of Timepix are 14 x 14 mm(2) and 300 mu m, respectively. The detection system can provide simultaneous information about position, energy, time and type of registered particles with high synchronization accuracy. Test measurements have been carried out with an alpha particle source (Ra-226) in a vacuum and the results of these measurements are presented in this paper.

With the development of computers and computer networks, software security is getting more and more attention. And in recent years, techniques of software vulnerability identification and automatic test cases generation get great progress. Based on advanced technologies, such as taint analysis and symbolic execution, there're lots of projects which play important roles in the practice of automatic test cases generation. This paper introduces the key technologies of them firstly. Then we introduce some relate competitions, current research programs and their corresponding tools which can generate test cases automatically.

Quality data is important in making estimates of the current state of marine environments. At the Center for Ocean Technology at the University of South Florida, we have developed the Camera Based Assessment Survey System (C-BASS) towbody by combining the ease of off the shelf components with a custom software framework. C-BASS entails the integration of custom software and hardware components, off the shelf instrumentation, and web servers to distribute this data real-time to the user while storing all the parameters vital to the research endeavor. Key choices made during the design phase encompassed three main areas of focus;first and foremost was the ease of use for the operators of C-BASS while ensuring the robustness of the data collected. The topside client interface is based on a RESTful web api interface, creating a familiar environment for users entailing a modern web-browser as the only topside software for operators. The data collection entails a database synchronized to a GPS ship clock, including all towbody video, sensors, and sonar, as well as ship-sourced data such as sonars, positioning, and attitude. Therefore, in analyzing the data complex operations and custom data tables can be created from the relational SQL database. Second, there was a focus on the use of commercial off the shelf hardware components (COTS), software libraries, and applications to speed development. The base communications link was realized with digital subscriber line (DSL) modems over cables as basic as three internal conductors and a conductive outer shielding as a fourth conductor. While limiting the data sent through the uplink, the DSL modems remove the need for fiber optic cables and the operational needs associated them. Thus, the paradigm of a high bandwidth local data collection on the towbody and a low bandwidth real time link for real time monitoring of data quality during deployments, led to the development of a client server model. control and monitoring are done

The paper concerns the design of instrumentation and software for precise laser machining. Application of advanced laser beam manipulation instrumentation enables noticeable improvement of cut quality and material loss. This factors have significant impact on process efficiency and cutting edge quality by means of machined part size and shape accuracy, wall taper, material loss reduction (e.g. diamond) and time effectiveness. The goal can be reached by integration of laser drive, observation and optical measurement system, beam manipulation system and five axis mechanical instrumentation with use of advanced tailored software enabling full laser cutting process control and monitoring.

Spacecraft testing is an important activity during the design and implementation of all space missions. Efficient organization and advanced tools can save large time and money spent on testing of spacecraft's software and hardware function. Model based approach has become a very promising solution in spacecraft testing area. Well-designed model-based methods and tools can help reduce costs while increase software and hardware quality at the same time. Based on long term spacecraft testing data, this paper presents a data-driven and model-based spacecraft testing simulation system. The novel simulation system can generate typical testing model by extracting historical testing data, and the formed testing model is able to interact with the existing spacecraft testing system to achieve close-loop simulation. In addition, various numeric model of different spacecraft's subsystems can also be incorporated into the simulation system. In this way, both on-board software and hand-written test case can be verified in early stage, which improves the testing quality and boosts manufacture progress.

There are number of devices connect to each other through IoT/Industry 4.0. Hacker is not only hack software but they are also hack directly device. Device hacking is very critical issue & this paper focus on the hardware and software interlock security. Here we have used FPGA device (zedboard zynq XC7Z020). This FPGA device include ARM Cortex-A9. Hardware and software interlock security is mentioned in three level such as Administrative rights, One time Password (OTP) and Device tracking all three level is dependent on general IOT architecture.
