Cloud computing is an emerging, computing model wherein the tasks are allocated to software, combination of connections, and services accessed over a network. This connections and network of servers is collectively known as the cloud. In place of operating their own data centers, users might rent computing power and storage capacity from a service provider and pays only for what they use. Cloud storage is delivering the datastorage as service. If the data is stored in cloud, it must provide the data access and heterogeneity. With the advances in cloud computing it allows storing of large number of images and data throughout the world. This paper proposes the indexing and metadata management which helps to access the distributed data with reduced latency. The metadata management can be enhanced for large scale file system applications. When designing the metadata, the storage location of the metadata and attributes is important for the efficient retrieval of the data. Indexes are used to quickly locate data without having to search over every location in storage. Based on these two models, the data can be easily fetched and the search time was reduced to retrieve the appropriate data.

This article investigates the dependency between advances in chip technology, architectures, and security. Two major properties of secure systems are analyzed in this context: data separation of different applications and secure storage of cryptographic keys. We discuss first examples for compromising data separation, e.g. the Rowhammer attack on modern DRAMs, enabled by the sensitivity of shrinked DRAM cells for crosstalk effects, or Meltdown and Spectre attacks using cache side channels. These attacks show the dependency between data separation and advances in technology and architecture. Even more powerful attacks exploiting bus and network-on-chip traffic are possible. Another area where technology meets security is the storage of cryptographic keys. New technologies offer new ways to realize non-volatile memory (NVM) for secret datastorage and to implement physical unclonable functions (PUFs), which generate the key during system start and do not store it permanently in NVM. To enable good PUFs, technology and security people should work together as early as possible in the development phase, since PUFs must be characterized carefully. Ideally a PUF module is provided as a characterized and reliable security primitive in the design library. If we manage to take security already into account in early technology development phases and during architecture definition, we will get more secure systems-on-chip in the future.

DVD-RAM requires a large storage capacity to write and read huge amounts of data such as MPEG2 and AV as well as computer data for full-scale multi-media applications. Its format is focused on unifying AV and computer files, and achieving read compatibility with DVD-ROM drive. DVD-RAM has been realized by using phase change media, 0.6 mm substrate, 650 nm laser and NA 0.6 lens. The track has a single-spiral wobbled land and groove format. Each sector in land and groove tracks can be accessed in a seamless manner by combining physical headers and the wobble signal. 8-16 modulated signal is overwritten on land and groove tracks with mark edge recording method, The sector position shifting of 8 bytes and two guard fields located at the top and end of the data field are introduced to prevent the signal deterioration caused by repeating overwrites. DVD-RAM disc has wide tolerances of laser power and disc tilt, and overwrite durability of over 10(5) cycles. It is also concluded that DVD-RAM is high reliable and compatible for reading by DVD-ROM drives.

Conventional optical tweezers, formed at the diffraction-limited focus of a laser beam, have become a powerful and flexible tool for manipulating micrometre-sized objects. Extending optical trapping down to the nanometre scale would open unprecedented opportunities in many fields of science, where such nano-optical tweezers would allow the ultra-accurate positioning of single nano-objects. Among the possible strategies, the ability of metallic nanostructures to control light at the subwavelength scale can be exploited to engineer such nano-optical traps. LEO satellite constellations with low latency of data streaming, are very attractive as a backhaul infrastructure to connect people worldwide like a Space based Internet or to address Internet of Things (IoT) applications on a global scheme. optical Inter-Satellite Links (OISL) combine very high data rates with resilient performance. Due to its narrow beam and a coherent detection technology without beacons, these OISLs a very robust. As the optical beams are much narrower than RF beams, no interference with other potential optical communication systems will occur and thus offer high operational security and immunity to interference sources, jamming and eavesdropping.
