The aim of the report is to give an idea on the structure and on the main characteristics of a single-crystal VLSI processor with a multichannel optical input, which is designed for processing of a parallel logic data stream (associative retrieval) from a holographic disk memory. The chip, made by a n-channel MDS technology, represents a matrix of 32×18 one-digit photosensitive cells connected between themselves and the peripherals by a system of orthogonal lines.
