In the following paperwork a photovoltaic power supplying system for telecommunication equipment has been modelled. The power supplied equipment can be radio communication equipment, active equipment for optic networks and other. The model is developed in LabView. The chosen capacities of the energy storage elements (ESE) can be determined by using the developed model. The model can be used to determine if the capacity of the ESE is enough or not.

Heart rate exhibiting direct proportional characteristics with change in blood volume during heart beats can be measured by modeling an analog and digital manipulation scheme. A model of a single Microcontroller chip based heart beat counter, capable of data storage and suitable for remote communication via Bluetooth, would be designed and implemented and checked for contrast with a commercial heart beat per minute (BPM) counter.

Recent advances in genotyping technology have enabled large studies with data from thousands of subjects to contain half a million or more of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) marker per subject. This rapid increase in the size of data has generated the need to compress the data in order to reduce the storage capacity requirements and the memory required at run time to perform analysis on the data. The availability of so many markers across the whole genome has created opportunities for new methodologies to be implemented that take advantage of the relatively high density of the markers to perform analyses that take into account the Linkage Disequilibrium (LD), an effect where some combinations of genetic markers are non-randomly associated. Classical techniques for transforming genotypic data into a binary format are already in use by several applications however we demonstrate in this paper that the traditional transformations are not adequate for certain types of analyses as some information key to new methodologies of analyses is lost. We propose a new protocol for formatting binary genotypic data that can be used in all types of analyses while still offering a very high compression rate.

Suspended particulate matter is a primary variable with respect to biological and physical processes in the marine environment. The authors have developed an integrated towed instrument platform system to analyze as broad a spectrum of particulate sizes as possible using state-of-the-art technology to address basic oceanographic, environmental and military issues. The High Resolution Sampler (HRS) system uses several technologies to address different size classes of the marine particle spectrum. The 50 /spl mu/ to 2 cm (spherical diameter, SD) size classes are quantified using optical Plankton Counters (OPC, Focal Technologies, Inc.), employed alone or in tandem. The 50 /spl mu/ and greater size classes are also quantified using a non-intrusive laser light sheet/video system as well as a collimated dual light sheet system under development. As an alternative to optical systems, the authors are developing a multiple frequency, miniaturized forward-looking "chirp" sonar for ensonifying a parcel of water directly ahead of the light sheet (see Remsen et al., this volume). All data are collected in situ and transferred to deck for real-time display and storage. Verification systems include a plankton cod-end (50-162 /spl mu/ mesh) carousel (20 positions) net system for collecting particles which have passed through the optical sensors. The integrated optical-electronic sensor package is mounted on a towed vehicle which has been sea tested over several years in the Gulf of Mexico and Weddell Sea.

The healthcare industry has been affected by the rise in technological innovation, and following COVID-19, it is easy to see how adopting contemporary technology shapes the relationship between caregivers and their patients. The paper describes how the modern healthcare system is defined by phrases such as Cyber-Physical System(CPS), Internet of Things(IoT), Electronic Medical Record(EMR), big data, and Internet of Medical Things(IoMT). The conclusions also describe the difficulties that may arise through or following the execution of knowledge-based systems(KBS) in the health care industry. We have closely followed the schedule for the documentation created in the last few years, primarily from 2023 to 2017. The selection of the papers is based on how modern technologies are used to create a brighter future, as well as the technologies that are employed and the difficulties encountered in putting them into practice. Articles on the subjects we have chosen are reviewed using the Scopus database. The changing healthcare system must overcome numerous obstacles as it enters the internet and big data world. Connecting, learning, and implementing the knowledge-based system for precise decision-making are some of these issues. It was observed that using new technologies and giving stakeholders modest incentives can help overcome obstacles. Although electronic medical records, or EMRs, are helpful in improving caretaker treatment, they also generate a lot of data, which raises concerns about handling, storage, and privacy. technology advancements like 5G will open the door to a more sophisticated healthcare system that may be available to everyone, relieving pressure on the healthcare system, caregivers, and caregivers. These technology advancement support increase in quality of patient life and reduction in cost when compared to traditional healthcare system, also enabling the continuous monitoring of the patient health record using the IoMT and wearable devices.

The isolation capabilities provided by conventional enterprise data center technology are inadequate for many clients of multi-tenant storage or compute clouds. To address this deficiency we propose a cloud architecture which relies on strategic deployment of physical layer network isolation. We show how improved client isolation can be realized with 'color gapping' using existing Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing technologies, and demonstrate how in some settings isolation can be visually verified by clients. To address the challenging problem of isolating multiple clients' Virtual Machines within a single physical server, we introduce a novel application of distributed bridging based on Virtual Ethernet Port Aggregators.

This electronic document is a “livUsing OCR technology to automatically recognize identification characters will greatly reduce people’s workload and improve work efficiency. However, in the case of low contrast between background and characters, traditional OCR technology has poor anti-interference ability and low recognition accuracy. This article proposes a printing character quality inspection algorithm based on AlexNet. The quality inspection process includes multiple steps such as image acquisition, image preprocessing, feature extraction, classification recognition, and quality inspection. In the design of fuzzy character recognition software, a graphical interaction interface is developed using the Python Tkinter module, and a character recognition system is designed, including a character recognition module and an information storage and query module, to enhance the human-machine interaction ability of the system and facilitate product sourcing and management. The experimental results show that the model in this paper can achieve recognition accuracy of 96.1%, and the recognition time for individual item characters is 0.29 seconds. The AlexNet model proposed in this article has better performance of printed character recognition than that of CNN and RNN models. The experimental conclusion of this article can be used for character recognition and quality inspection in the tobacco industry.

The advances in Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology have tremendously increased the bandwidth of a single fiber optic, for local and metropolitan area network (LAN and MAN). This paper presents and discusses a new network environment that is multiple optical channel, which coupled Ethernet with WDM to decrease the average queuing delay and increases the normalized throughput. The performances of three channels are evaluated with different network parameters using discrete event simulator called OMNeT++. In this paper it has been proved that RS BEB algorithms show the best throughput for three data rates. Moreover, in average queuing delay and RS BEB shows the lowest delay despite the others algorithms. It has been observed from this work that an increase in the number of nodes, the percentage of normalized throughput decreasing is less than 20% for every additional node in the network.

User owned and managed optical networks offer new benefits compared to carrier networks. There are basically two types of user owned and managed optical networks: metro dark fibre networks and long-haul wavelength networks. A user-controlled lightpath provisioning system is designed to address the network management challenges, where only the customer has complete visibility of its own network and no provider can see all the network elements. The prototyped management software has a service-oriented architecture and uses the Jini and JavaSpaces technologies. Within one management system for a federation, there are six key components: a Jini Lookup Service, an instance of JavaSpaces for storage of Light Path Objects (LPOs), a Jini Service Access Point (SAP), an LPO service, an instance of switch communication service for each switch in the transport layer and a Grid SAP. Since the new management system is a distributed system and the new management system may be deployed over a public Internet infrastructure, secure access to the management modules is required. The application of existing system security technologies to the new management system is analyzed. To securely transfer objects across a network, SSL is used to encrypt RMI data streams and thus data streams between Jini services. To securely execute a dynamically downloaded Java class, Jini adopts the Java security model. To securely use a dynamically downloaded proxy to communicate to a remote service, Jini Extensible Remote Invocation is implemented to support security features such as invocation constraints, remote method control, and the trust verification model.

The increasing clock rates of processing cores accompanying continuing advances in silicon technology drive the need to push electrical interconnect speeds higher. As industry-standard data rates pass 3Gb/s and approach the 5 to 12Gb/s realm, degradations from channel effects such as bandwidth loss, reflections, and crosstalk, can distort the signal to such an extent that robust data recovery requires equalizer-based backplane transceiver designs. Legacy 1 to 3Gb/s backplane channels rely on power-efficient NRZ transmit- and receive-side equalization techniques with adaptation. New signaling schemes, with better spectral efficiency, such as PAM4 and duobinary signaling, are of interest for data rates exceeding 10Gb/s. Another design challenge is the low bit-error-rate (BER) requirement of 10-15 or less.
