Internet of Things (IoT) has come to stay in healthcare whereby this advanced technology has drastically changed remote patient monitoring and management which has paved way for enhanced effective, affordable and patient centered approach to care delivery. This paper describes IoT-based smart health care system to improve the quality and effectiveness of patient care through the integration of wearable devices and sensors that are used to monitor the patient’s health status in real-time. The collected data is transmitted through secure data networks to the cloud-analysis blocks in which sophisticated analytical algorithms work to analyze the available data and provide suitable information. As illustrated in the result section, obtained results show that there is a enhancement of previous systems by up to $\mathbf{1 5 \%}$ on monitoring accuracy, that the response time for data processing has been reduced by $\mathbf{2 5}$ milliseconds and that there is a $\mathbf{2 0 \%}$ increase in patients satisfaction. It also has the ability of outputting a $\mathbf{3 0 \%}$ decrease on false alarms and a decrease of 15% on total healthcare expenses. These findings come as a proof that IoT has a capability of revolutionizing healthcare through early identification of risky conducts and timely medical treatments.

In this paper, we propose a QC-LDPC decoder architecture with low complexity as well as excellent decoding performance in CV-QKD systems, which employs the syndrome-assisted layered belief propagation decoding algorithm. To minimize the complexity of hardware implementation and resource consumption in iterative decoding, we use fixed-point numbers instead of floating-point numbers to update node messages. Additionally, two-segment nonuniform lookup tables are employed to implement $\psi(x)$ efficiently. Besides, the layered syndrome-assisted early termination (LS-ET) scheme is introduced, resulting in the reduction of the number of decoding iterations while maintaining superior frame error rate (FER) performance. The experimental results indicate that the QC-LDPC decoder implemented on an FPGA is capable of achieving throughput of 50.8 Mbps when the code length is 26112 and code rate is 22/68.

This paper presents a preliminary analysis of an Indoor Positioning System (IPS) designed for forklifts using Wi-Fi signal fingerprinting and the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm. The system utilizes M5stack (ESP32) devices programmed with MicroPython and collects Wi-Fi signal data from multiple access points. By creating a fingerprint database and employing KNN for position determination, the system achieved a location accuracy rate of 86% in a precision test of 15 reference points and an overall accuracy rate of 90% with an average error of 1.5 meters. These results demonstrate the system’s potential for enhancing navigation and efficiency in warehouse operations.

Since WiFi channel state information (CSI) has higher granularity and privacy, a large number of researchers want to commercialize it. However, most of the existing CSI-based activity identification systems use WiFi routers and terminals to collect CSI, which leads to unstable CSI data transmission links due to the reality that routers are often connected to multiple devices. In addition, many systems use recognition algorithms that are too complex, making it impossible to monitor activities in time due to the delay in system recognition. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a real-time processing and monitoring system based on lightweight programmable chips to collect CSI data and identify human activities. Firstly, we verify the reliability of collecting CSI data using lightweight programmable chips through comparative experiments. Secondly, we propose an activity monitoring model based on automatic threshold adjustment, which is lightweight to achieve real-time monitoring of intruders. In addition, using EMD technology, the system accomplishes activity recognition based on activity frequency with 96% recognition accuracy and good robustness to environmental changes. © 2022 IEEE.

Future wireless communication systems demand seamless global coverage and large-scale connectivity. Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites present a promising solution owing to their wider field of view and lower deployment costs. This article proposes a two-stage beamforming (TSB) scheme for massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) LEO satellite networks, leveraging slowly varying statistical channel state information at the transmitter. Specifically, to optimize the limited satellite resources, a low-complexity graph-based user clustering algorithm is designed prior to implementing the beamforming stage. The proposed TSB scheme involves employing codebook- based analog beamforming at each satellite access point, followed by fractional programming for digital multi-user precoding design on the Central processing Unit. Simulation results demonstrate the good performance of the scheme, underscoring its potential in future LEO giant constellations.

Hash-based Message Authentication Code (HMAC) is a widely used cryptographic algorithm that combines a hash function with a secret key to ensure the integrity and authenticity of data. The performance of HMAC relies on the underlying hash function. In the past, Message Digest - 5 (MD5) and Secure Hash Algorithm - 1 (SHA-1) were commonly used for HMAC, but due to exponential increase of computational power, both MD5 and SHA-1 are no more secure. Consequently, Secure Hash Algorithm - 2 (SHA2-256, SHA2-384, SHA2-512) and Secure Hash Algorithm -3 (SHA3) are recommended. In these, SHA2-256 are mostly used in high end applications viz. Bitcoin, Blockchain, Smart Communication, Transport Layer Security (TLS) etc. However, understanding the quantum computation power, SHA2-512 and SHA3-512 shall be used and also it will be match the security level of AES-256. Therefore, in this paper present the comprhensive performance of the HMAC with SHA2-256, SHA2-512 and SHA3-512 with input message sizes ranging from 1 KB to 1 GB on three different platforms viz. intel i7 processor running Ubuntu and Windows, and resource-constrained Raspberry Pi 4B system. The analysis shows that SHA2-512 is significantly more efficient than SHA2-256 and SHA3-512 across all platforms and obviously provide double security than SHA2-256 which is mostly used. The experimental analysis shows that SHA2-512 processes 1 GB of data 70% faster than SHA2-256 in i7 processors and 90% faster on resource-constrained devices like Raspberry Pi. Hence, SHA2-512 shall be used in HMAC or in any other application which demands huge power for the systems e.g., Bitcoin or other blockchain which basically demands high security and efficient hash function. The findings show the potential of SHA2-512 and needs to replace SHA-256 in HMAC or any other applications/systems which uses hash functions. © 2025 IEEE.

Researchers and algorithm developers have always strived to make tracking more accurate than before, by developing deferents algorithms that prove their efficiency and effectiveness in international competitions (VOT, MOT challenge, …), but taking care of one side without others may be the reason why limiting the fields of application of that software, which makes them confined only to these competitions or confined to applications domains without others and this is not the end object in itself. For example, the use of complex tracking algorithms in the drone makes the processing unit very slow and unsuitable for real-time tracking, instead that the use of highly efficient processing systems for acceleration consumes a lot of energy, which reduces the time the drone stays in flight. In this paper, we suggest our approach; HashSet Matching Algorithm (HSMA) provided by optical Flow appearance features and HOG for developing an object-tracking algorithm to address the issue of a complex MOT algorithm for real-time tracking. The MOT challenge data-set experiment results show that the suggested technique can handle object occlusion difficulties successfully while reducing processing time. This algorithm is implemented in the Vision processing Unit (VPU) to enhance the time flying of UAVs and to ensure low energy consumption. Our approach performs very well in real application scenarios, demonstrating that it is more practical.

The compatibility of silicon photonics and silicon electronics allows for the development monolithic devices to meet the scale and performance required for quantum technologies such as quantum information processing. We present a monolithic electronic-photonic homodyne detector with a bandwidth of 19.8 GHZ. This outperforms any previous demonstrations and is directly attributable to the monolithic integration that limits the parasitic capacitance typical from packaging and interfacing multiple integrated circuits.

The work is devoted to the development of an algorithm for preprocessing channel state information of the WIFI communication channel for building indoor positioning systems. The relevance of the work is associated with the rapid growth of the market for mobile smart devices. The use of such devices requires higher positioning accuracy than existing methods and approaches can provide. In this regard, the problem solved in the framework of the study is an urgent scientific and technical problem. The paper proposes consideration of information about the channel state information, as opposed to the method of measuring the RSSI signal level, adopted in most radio positioning algorithms. Unlike RSSI, the link state information includes information about the signal transmitted on each of the subcarriers. The paper considers the WiFi4 standard with 56 sub carriers. The data packet contains information about the phase and amplitude of the signal. The study considers a technique for obtaining data on the channel state information, its collection, preprocessing and synchronization. The algorithms considered in the article make it possible to prepare initial, raw data for use in practical indoor positioning algorithms using data mining methods.

Superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors have become indispensable for experiments in quantum optics and photonic quantum information processing. Nevertheless, these detectors require temperatures below 4 K to operate. These devices typically require coaxial cables as electrical connections for biasing and readout. Replacing these electrical connections with optical fibers both isolates the SNSPD from noise in room-temperature control electronics and simultaneously achieves a connection with a low thermal load. Nevertheless, the optoelectronic interfaces required for this purpose must be fully compatible with the cryogenic operating conditions of the detector. Recently, optical readout of an SNSPD using an electro-optic modulator at cryogenic temperatures has been demonstrated [1]–[3]. In addition, we have shown an opto-electronic bias of an SNSPD by generating the bias current using a photodiode co-located on the cold stage of the cryostat [4]. Both methods replace elements of electrical connection for the SNSPD in the cryostat by an optical fiber. Here, we show the combination of the opto-electronic bias and optical read readout in a single device, which enables us to operate an SNSPD fully isolated from room temperature electronics.
