optical Character Recognition (OCR) is commonly referred as text recognition which poses a substantial issue in the computer vision tasks. Conventional optical character recognition systems frequently suffer in handwritten document recognition. To solve this, Deep Learning (DL) models have emerged as a powerful and advanced solution for character recognition. The present research offers a unique CNN-RNN model with an Attention Mechanism (CNN-RNN-AM) for English image character recognition. The process comprised many important phases, beginning with image collection from a user-defined dataset, then image pre-processesing includes grayscale conversion and noise reduction. For effective character recognition, the proposed approach integrates the segmentation process at multiple levels, including line segmentation, word segmentation, and character segmentation. Finally, the CNN-RNN with an attention mechanism is deployed for character recognition. The experimental findings demonstrated the remarkable efficacy of the suggested CNN-RNN-AM model. It outperformed other compared models by attaining an excellent character recognition accuracy of 99.89%. © 2023 IEEE.

The combination of enhanced access to remotely sensed imagery and time series data together with the growing availability of artificial intelligence algorithms, has substantially broadened the community of users engaged in processing and analyzing earth observations over time. This will be particularly beneficial for the application of sustainable agricultural performance and for monitoring crops intermittently. The primary objective of this study is to design a methodology to be utilized in the analysis of crop dynamics based on Sentinel-2 multispectral remote sensing imagery. In this work, an algorithm is devised using Google Earth Engine (GEE) to illustrate cropping patterns and to map cropping intensity in the drought regions in Prakasam of Andhra Pradesh, India. This study focuses on understanding the cropping patterns for the years 2019–2023. Quantum secure communication technology, grounded in the principles of quantum mechanics, has revolutionized traditional cryptographic methods, which predominantly rely on mathematical algorithms and logical transformations. Quantum key distribution (QKD) facilitates the secure sharing of symmetric keys between legitimate parties, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of information in communication channels. Among various QKD schemes, continuous variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD) has emerged as a viable alternative to the more established discrete variable quantum key distribution (DV-QKD). CV-QKD boasts several advantages, including straightforward deployment, reduced operational costs, and stable signal quality, positioning it as a significant component of the quantum communication *** noise stream cipher (QNSC) represents a technique that employs redundant data streams to encrypt plaintext. Notably, QNSC shares structural similarities with the optical path used in quantum key distribution, allowing for compatibility with existing QKD infrastructure. Furthermore, the keys generated through quantum key distribution ensure absolute security, enabling them to substitute the data streams produced by pseudo-random sequences traditionally used in classical encryption schemes. This substitution enhances the overall security framework of the quantum noise stream encryption *** quantum access network (QAN) extends quantum key distribution capabilities from point-to-point connections to point-to-multipoint configurations, thereby becoming an essential component of contemporary network architectures. Number Plate recognition or the vehicle License Plate recognition is an interesting topic of research in smart cities which utilizes Image processing techniques. Since the number of cars is rising at an exponential rate, automated systems are supposed to store vehicle data for a variety of applications. In this intended algorithm, an efficient technique has been identified for recognition of different vehicle number registration plates. Through this technique, we can easily deal with problems like low light, irregular font number plates, wrong angles. We use the method of optical Character Recognition to identify characters that are extracted from the registration plate. Even though this project works efficiently for common use cases, it has its own drawbacks and limitations even though we are not using deep learning or any other machine learning algorithms. One of the important steps in vehicle plate recognition is the character recognition which is a technique to obtain individual text characters. YOLOv8 (You Only Look Once), and Darknet- 53 are the methods that is used to extract the features of the data. In this model, the input data is the image of the vehicle that is captured from the camera sensors or cell phones and later cropped to display only the registration plate. We undergo data-pre-processing to improve the quality or the pixels of image on the number plate. Testing is done using two different models one is the model which is obtained with more pre-processing data and the other obtained without any pre-processing data. We evaluate two datasets of number plate images: one with no interference and one where the colour intensity of the image has been decreased to test, the accuracy of the model © 2025 IEEE.

In order to improve the response speed, adjustment accuracy and anti-interference performance of the outlet temperature of the heat exchanger of the thermal performance test bench. An algorithm combining fuzzy control, Smith prediction and traditional PID control is proposed, and use Matlab/Simulink to simulate the temperature characteristics and Anti interference characteristics of the system. The experimental results show that compared with the traditional PID and Fuzzy PID algorithms, the response speed of Smith fuzzy PID is 57S and 50S faster 8 than that of traditional PID and Smith PID, respectively, and the overshoot is 18% and 16% less than that of traditional PID and Fuzzy PID respectively. Combined with Smith prediction algorithm, the time lag problem is effectively solved. Therefore, the Smith fuzzy PID control method has a faster response to the outlet temperature control of the heat exchanger, a smaller overshoot, and a faster response to interference signals. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. The expansion of edge computing has led to a shift in server deployment strategies, with an increasing preference for server hardware in outdoor environments. This shift is primarily aimed at reducing the latency of data processing and improving the utilization of network bandwidth. Despite the obvious potential benefits, outdoor environments present numerous challenges that can detract from the stability and reliability of server operations. Factors such as temperature changes, humidity levels, and exposure to natural elements can greatly affect server performance. In light of these challenges, this article explores the evolution of complex diagnostic systems for edge servers. On the basis of high-protection micro-outdoor cabinets, the research focuses on the design of complex real-time server monitoring and fault prediction algorithms. These algorithms are essential for early identification of potential problems, enabling preventative maintenance actions and reducing downtime. The overall goal of this study is to enhance the operational consistency of outdoor servers and ensure their efficient functionality under harsh conditions. In addition, by reducing the need for frequent and expensive maintenance, the proposed system aims to reduce the overall operating costs associated with managing servers. © The Authors.

The management of enterprises has long included manager management as a key responsibility. Recently, manager portrait has attracted attention as a research focus in the field of manager management. This paper aims to model the problem of manager portrait using neighborhood Rough Set theory. Personality characteristics of managers are extracted from document materials using Natural Language processing algorithms and integrated into the rough set model. In addition, the distance formula of the KFHARA attribute reduction algorithm is improved. A label attributes construction method and a portrait method suitable for manager portrait are proposed based on the rough set model and the improved KFHARA algorithm. Finally, the practicability of the method is illustrated by an example of an enterprise manager selection and appointment business scenario. © 2023 SPIE.

In the dual-phase grating system of X-ray phase-contrast imaging, the reduction in structural requirements for the absorption grating relaxes the constraints on its aspect ratio and period, thereby broadening the applicability of X-ray phase-contrast imaging techniques in a wider market. Traditionally, the extraction of phase-contrast information primarily relies on phase-stepping methods or Fourier transform algorithms, which often introduce artifacts and blurring into the images. To achieve higher quality image restoration, this study introduces generative adversarial networks (GANs) for high-quality image reconstruction. Our approach uses ideal images as labels and images containing object stripe information as inputs, utilizing GANs for feature learning to facilitate the transformation from object stripe images to high-quality phase-contrast images. The network also employs transfer learning to process previously unseen object stripe images and generate corresponding phase-contrast images. This technique not only significantly enhances image resolution but also substantially reduces artifacts and blurring in the image processing, paving the way for high-precision demands in medical diagnostics and industrial inspection. © 2024 SPIE.

optical surveillance is the most effective way to control traffic situations. The density and dynamism of the objects of the observed scene makes it an urgent task to improve the algorithms for obtaining coordinate and non-coordinate information about the observed objects. The issues of increasing the accuracy of measuring the distance and increasing the resolution between the light objects observed by the optical system by the method of double continuous wavelet transformation are considered. It is shown that the use of the second continuous wavelet transform to the curves of the coefficients of the first transform leads to an increase in the maxima of the scalegram and the curves of the coefficients, providing the coordinate sensitivity of the position of the signals by more than two times. The use of different types of wavelets in each continuous wavelet transform of signals gives many options for constructing a processing algorithm and can be used for additional filtering of noise taking into account the characteristics of signals. In this regard, it is proposed to use parallel mathematical models and real signals in a neural network for determining the coordinates of signals and their characteristics, which leads to an increase in accuracy for each type of signal. The indicated approach can be used in systems for multiple signaling from different sources or for combining images in multi-position systems. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

The "satellite data acquisition and ground processing" mode is difficult to meet the characteristics of detection and recognition in high real-time tasks such as target tracking and disaster detection caused by the large width, high resolution, and massive data of remote sensing images themselves. Propose a master-slave parallel computing architecture based on switching nodes. This architecture uses domestically produced PSOC (Programmable System-On-Chip) intelligent heterogeneous AI(Artificial Intelligence) chips, combined with SRIO(Serial Rapid IO) and Ethernet buses to achieve decoupling between broadcast image data distribution and parallel scheduling of MPI(Message Passing Interface) systems. On the basis of better utilizing the computing performance of single chip processors, it explores parallel computing modes with higher computing power and reliability. This mode enables image detection algorithms with large-scale and complex operator characteristics to be deployed and applied faster and more conveniently in spaceborne environments, which has certain reference significance and research value. © 2024 SPIE.
