The development of network technology has laid a solid foundation for the network transmission of integrated media. The amount of information in integrated media is large, and it has the characteristics of real-time, interactivity, continuity, and synchronization. How to ensure and improve the service quality of media has become an urgent problem that integrated media technology needs to solve. In this paper, a real-time communication model of streaming media transmission based on edge computing is proposed. Based on the above principles, the core modules and network architecture of the model were derived, and the structure and transmission scheme of the model were studied and designed. This article will help ensure the real-time, continuity, and stability of integrated media communication by optimizing the system architecture design. © 2025 SPIE.

Traditional network architecture can no longer meet the development needs of technologies such as cloud computing and big data. SDN network architecture has the characteristics of high openness and programmability, which can quickly respond to changes in business requirements. SDN decouples the control management function of the network from the data forwarding function, simplifies network configuration work based on logic centralized controllers and open programming interfaces, thereby achieving a flat management mode and flexible data forwarding function. The centralized control and programmability of SDN networks also pose significant security threats to SDN. Based on the CSE-CIC-IDS2018 dataset, this article tests the performance of various intelligent learning algorithms, analyzes data flows, distinguishes normal data from abnormal data, improves detection accuracy, and has practical significance for the security defense of SDN networks. © 2025 SPIE.

With the continuous deepening of the application of 5G technology in various industries, the aviation industry's flight test business is also accelerating the rapid transformation and upgrading of the 5G aviation test support model: deploying safe and reliable 5G networks in scattered test fields and laboratories, connecting test objects, basic test facilities, special test equipment, test engineers and management personnel, and information systems, effectively solving the new challenges encountered by existing test modes, Fully integrate 5G technology into cross factory and institute collaborative sharing of test data, and comprehensively break through barriers to data sharing and business collaboration between testing and flight testing. Next-Generation Access network Based on Coherent Optics with Hybrid Transceivers, Multi Formats, and Flexible Rates

Coherent detection has emerged as a key technology for advancing passive optical networks (PON) beyond 100 Gbps per wavelength, due to its advantages over the intensity and direct-detection (IM/DD) approach, which was previously dominant in PON systems. In coherent PON architectures, the cost of the optical network unit (ONU) is substantial due to the complexity of its transceivers. Consequently, numerous studies have focused on simplifying the transmitters and receivers on the ONU side. Yet, simplifying the ONU transceiver introduces issues like reduced dynamic range and lower data rates. How to make a balance between the performance and the cost, particularly in terms of component complexity, represents a critical challenge for the advancement of coherent PON. Therefore, we propose and demonstrate a hybrid, multi-format, and flexible-rate bidirectional coherent PON system, supporting a compatible OLT and ONUs with different types of transceivers. ONUs are categorized into different tiers based on their performance and cost requirements, with transceivers of varying complexity allocated accordingly. As a demonstration of concept, we have successfully conducted experimental transmissions of 25-GBaud 4/16/64- quadrature-amplitude-modulation signals across 20-km fiber in a bidirectional setup, achieving data rates ranging from 50-Gbps to 300-Gbps. The low-end, middle-end, and high-end ONUs attain power budgets of 39/31/21 dB, 43/36/26 dB, and 40/33/23 dB, respectively. This architecture serves as an effective bridge from the current 50G IM/DD PON to the anticipated 200G coherent PON, meeting the varied requirements of users at different service levels. © 2024 IEEE.

Dysarthria is a neurological condition resulting from impairments affecting muscle control involved in speech articulation, leading to reduced intelligibility or unintelligible speech, which affects communication abilities. Although Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technologies hold the potential to improve the lives of people with dysarthria significantly, ASR systems designed for normal speech have shown limited effectiveness when presented with impaired speech. Consequently, researchers have focused on developing ASR systems specifically tailored for dysarthria. However, progress in this area has been gradual due to the scarcity of dysarthric speech for training and the increased variability of speech among dysarthric individuals, necessitating a larger dataset of dysarthric utterances. One potential solution to enhance the robustness of dysarthric ASR is to deepen the architecture of the acoustic model, which maps the speech signal to words or phonetic units. However, deeper architectures require more training data and pose challenges in dealing with issues such as the vanishing gradient problem and representational bottlenecks in deep learning models. In this study, we expanded on our previous findings and investigated the applications of Depthwise Separable Convolution neurons and the inclusion of Residual Connections to propose a deep dysarthric acoustic model, tackling both vanishing gradients and representational bottleneck issues in dysarthric ASR. Multiple speaker-adaptive dysarthric ASRs were trained and evaluated for 15 UA-Speech dysarthric subjects, then benchmarked against the state-of-the-art and our previous dysarthric ASRs. Our proposed architectures have delivered up to 22.58% word recognition rate (WRR) improvements over the reference models. We observed an average of 10.81% better WRRs over the base traditional dysarthric ASR for all speakers. Existing distribution networks are often characterized by multiple segments, multiple power sources, and bidirectional power flow, which diminishes the selectivity and sensitivity of traditional over current protection. Differential protection methods can effectively distinguish internal and external faults of protected lines, but traditional differential protection relies on fiber optic communication, which poses difficulties in construction and high costs, making it difficult to be widely used. 5G/B5G, with its characteristics of large bandwidth, low latency, and high reliability, can support communication functions such as fault location and protection actions in distribution networks. However, wireless channel introduces latency and jitter, which poses serious problems in synchronous sampling of differential protection devices. To address the above issues, this paper analyzes the requirements of distribution network differential protection for transmission delay and proposes a synchronous sampling calibration algorithm based on power line Impedance Estimation. This method solves the wireless synchronous sampling problem of dual end devices under different loads. Simulation verifies the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, which can effectively solve the synchronous sampling problem of distribution network differential protection based on 5G/B5G communication. © 2025 SPIE.

This work proposes a key security product and a dynamic threshold detection method to detect replay attacks during the delivery of quantum keys under non-quantum cryptography. This work discusses the security challenges of quantum key distribution (QKD) in wireless public communication networks, focusing on the need for robust measures against both quantum and non-quantum threats. QKD, based on the principles of quantum mechanics, provides a theoretically unconditionally secure method for key exchange due to the non-clonability of quantum states. Despite its potential for future communication security, QKD in wireless networks faces vulnerabilities, particularly to denial of service (DoS) attacks and eavesdropping. We focus on the openness of wireless communication, which makes QKD susceptible to interference and destruction during transmission, with DoS attacks capable of disrupting the QKD system's normal operation by consuming bandwidth with spurious signals or requests. Eavesdropping is a more nuanced threat, where an attacker may intercept wireless signals for gaining key information. To address these issues, we propose a security testing architecture and method for QKD networks. By simulating various network conditions and attacks, we analyze the changes of the detection indicator to assess network security according to an evaluation model. A dynamic threshold method based on the quantum key security protocol (QKSP) is introduced to identify network attacks, with optimal fault detection rates achieved at an eavesdropping ratio of 30% and n = 1. This work concludes by presenting a detection metric for fault detection rates to determine the system's security environment, providing a basis for judging the security of the quantum key transmission process. © 2025 SPIE.

Satellite constellations have the potential for enabling globe-spanning quantum networks for secure communication, entanglement distribution, and eventually the quantum internet. The architecture, design, and operation of such space quantum networks face several challenges, from scheduling, performance analysis and optimization, and overcoming issues such as weather effects. Here, we summarise recent research into constellation design, optimization, and the incorporation of quantum memories and repeaters in space quantum communication links. These preliminary works offer guidance for future development efforts for long-term space quantum communication systems. © 2025 SPIE.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also called drones, are planes operated by unmanned aircraft and controlled remotely via built-in computers or remote control. Their applications span from surveillance to delivery, and even agriculture to communications. Battery life and range limitations may limit the operational time of UAVs. They can create privacy issues, security risks, and potential threats to air traffic and public safety if not properly regulated. NB-IoT networks are addressed by the USC-WBND approach using semi-permanent scheduling (SPS) and shorter transmission time intervals (TTI). Using a fixed 1ms TTI can reduce latency and allocate resources more efficiently while decreasing the number of OFDM symbols. Relay requests for scheduling resources are eliminated in SPS, resulting in reduced latency for devices with regular transmissions. Moreover, the user's information, login details, and device settings along with GPS tracking are all managed by a cloud-based display platform, which allows for tailored access and precise location tracking. By visualizing UAV distribution in 2D and 3D, it is possible to select the most suitable drone locations to minimize interference and enhance coverage. A 2D technique is concerned with determining height and location, while another 3D approach employs a game of matching to find the most suitable UAVs for different user densities and interference. This mathematical modeling and algorithm aim to find the best placement for UAVs, maximize coverage by IoT nodes, and provide optimal service quality. The proposed strategies improve network efficiency, reduce interference, and optimize the placement of data transmission relays, providing significant advances in smart city environments. The main issues in NB-IoT and UAV deployments are addressed through this comprehensive approach, which seeks to address network performance problems by enhancing connectivity and decreasing latency.
