Various daily applications, including image categorization, natural language comprehension, and voice identification, heavily rely on fully connected and convolutional neural networks. When tackling classification problems, conventional deep learning architectures typically employ softmax activation functions to normalize outputs and minimize the model's cross-entropy loss. In this study, we present a novel malware classification model that integrates hybrid support vector machines with neural networks. Notably, this model substitutes the conventional softmax layer in neural networks with a support vector machine, thereby shifting the learning process towards minimizing margin losses instead of cross-entropy losses. This modification enhances the precision of malware classification for both standard machine learning algorithms and several prevalent deep learning models. To validate our proposed model, we employed the Malimg dataset, comprising malware images derived from binary malware samples. Subsequently, we trained an DL-SVM model to assign scores to each distinct malware family. Experimental outcomes revealed that the malware classification model achieved an accuracy of 96.31%, a precision rate of 97.00%, a recall rate of 97.35%, and an F1 score of 97.16%, respectively. © 2025 SPIE.

Deep neural networks trained on large datasets have achieved good results in image denoising. However, networks trained on specific datasets often have poor generalization, which is not conducive to practical applications. In addition, most denoisers often ignore the detail differences between image texture areas and smooth areas during the denoising process, resulting in the loss of details in texture areas. In this paper, we propose a zero-shot denoising network (HL-Net) with a Texture Noise Attention module (TNA) and a hybrid learning architecture. TNA allows the network to better extract noise information from texture areas without destroying their details, while the hybrid learning architecture uses two denoising methods for image smooth areas and texture areas: content learning LC (learning non-noise information in noisy images) and noise learning LN (learning noise information in noisy images), which can better preserve the image details in complex texture areas while extracting content information from smooth areas of noisy images. Additionally, the loss function proposed for the zero-sample hybrid learning network uses residual loss, consistency loss, and mean loss, enabling the network to better perform content learning and noise learning. Experiments show that our method outperforms most zero-sample denoising methods on various types of synthetic noise datasets and real-world noise datasets. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Brain cancer is one of the most deadly illnesses. It causes abnormal cells to grow in the brain. Planning for treatment and the prognosis of patients with brain tumors depend greatly on early diagnosis. Brain tumors can have different characteristics, treatments, and forms. Consequently, the process of manually detecting brain tumors is difficult, labor-intensive, and error-prone. Doctors use magnetic resonance imaging to detect those abnormal cells in the brain. With the growth of artificial intelligence, it is possible to diagnose the brain tumor from MIR images. For instance, convolutional neural networks and transformers could be used. The self-Attention mechanism is implemented by transformers, which are models that give each input data component a distinct weight. Transformers have limited applications in image classification tasks because they were originally designed for use in natural language processing applications. Thus far, the majority of image classification research has employed convolutional neural networks. In this paper, six different pretrained convolutional neural networks and a vision transformer are used to classify four distinct brain tumor classes. The models include ResNet50, AlexNet, VGG16, InceptionV3, MobileNetV2, FractalNet, and the Vision Transformer. The goal of this study is to compare the performance of these pretrained convolutional neural network models with that of the vision transformer, demonstrating that transformers can also be effectively applied to image classification tasks. The performance of a vision transformer model shows 84.39% accuracy in the classification problem, which is better than the other six architectures. © 2025 IEEE.

Federated learning enhanced with Differential Privacy (DP) is a powerful privacy-preserving strategy to protect individuals sharing their sensitive data for processing in fields such as medicine and healthcare. Many medical applications, for example magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), rely on complex-valued signal processing techniques for data acquisition and analysis. However, the appropriate application of DP to complex-valued data is still underexplored. To address this issue, from the theoretical side, we introduce the complex-valued Gaussian mechanism, whose behaviour we characterise in terms of f-DP, (epsilon, delta)-DP and Renyi-DP. Moreover, we generalise the fundamental algorithm DP stochastic gradient descent to complex-valued neural networks and present novel complex-valued neural network primitives compatible with DP. Experimentally, we showcase a proof-of-concept by training federated complex-valued neural networks with DP on a real-world task (MRI pulse sequence classification in k-space), yielding excellent utility and privacy. Our results highlight the relevance of combining federated learning with robust privacy-preserving techniques in the MRI context.

Only a few clinical procedures include the use of clinical methods for the early detection, observing, evaluation, and treatment evaluation of a range of medical illnesses. Knowing the analysis of medical images in computer vision necessitates being acquainted with the core concepts and uses of deep learning and artificial neural networks. The A rapidly expanding area of study is the Deep Learning Approach (DLA) in medical image processing. DLA is often used in medical imaging to determine if an ailment is present or not. By producing speedier, more accurate results in real time, deep learning algorithms may make the jobs of radiologists and orthopaedic surgeons easier. But the standard deep learning approach has reached its efficiencies. While offering an ideal solution known as boost-Net, we study numerous optimization strategies to increase the effectiveness of deep neural networks in this research. From a selection of well-known deep learning models, Champion-Net was selected as the deep learning model. The musculoskeletal radiograph-bone classification (MURA-BC) dataset is used in this investigation. Utilizing the train and test datasets, Enhance-Net's classification precision was evaluated.

Text-to-image generation is a cutting-edge technology that enables computers to generate images from textual descriptions. While this technology has been extensively researched and applied to English language text, applying it to Arabic language text is still in its early stages. Additionally, the Arabic language is challenging due to its right-to-left writing system and extensive vocabulary of 1.3 million words. In this paper, we explore text-to-image generation for generating images from Arabic language text descriptions. Firstly, we fine-tune a transformer-based model pre-trained on the Arabic text to transform the text information into affine transformation within the DF-GAN generator. Secondly, we present a text transformer that combines LSTM layers to address the limitation of unrecognized words. Thirdly, a mask predictor is trained into the generator using a weakly supervised method and incorporated into the affine transformation for a more effective integration of image and text features. In addition, we add the DAMSM loss function as a regularization to the loss function to achieve convergences and stability in the training phase. The experiment on two challenging datasets CUB and Oxford-flower shows that our architectures can accurately generate high-quality images faithfully representing the Arabic textual descriptions. We believe the scaling of this task could have critical applications in fields such as Arabic visual learning, e-commerce, advertising, and entertainment.

Pattern recognition of partial discharge (PD) is a key focus in the condition assessment of power equipment. The strong feature extraction capabilities demonstrated by deep learning in the fields of image and signal processing have made it a new trend in PD pattern recognition research. This paper proposes a method for PD pattern recognition based on an improved Deep Separable Convolutional neural Network (DSCNN). The method first introduces an improved model of the DSCNN, secondly, utilizes a PD experimental detection platform to obtain Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) signals from partial discharges, and employs the S-transform to generate the time-frequency spectrum corresponding to the time-domain signals;then, it uses the improved DSCNN model to classify the time-frequency spectrum for the identification of PD types. The results show that the PD pattern recognition model proposed in this paper has a good recognition accuracy;compared to traditional deep learning models, the optimized model proposed in this paper reduces the scale of parameters and inference time, which is conducive to improving fault diagnosis speed. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Deep neural networks have recently seen a significant surge in adoption for different artificial Intelligence technologies due to the development of powerful computer systems. However, because of the growing security concerns, they are susceptible to dangerous risks. Adversarial instances were initially discovered in the field of computer vision (CV), where systems were deceived by altering their initial inputs. In the field of natural language processing (NLP), additionally they occur. Several approaches are put up to address this gap and handle an extensive variety of NLP applications. We give an organized survey of these works in this *** text is distinct and meaningful in nature, in contrast to the image, which makes the creation of hostile assaults much more challenging. In this study, we present a thorough analysis of adversarial attacks and counterattacks in the textual domain. In order to make the essay self-contained, we examine related important works in computer vision and cover the fundamentals of NLP. We explore unresolved concerns to close the gap between current advancements and increasingly powerful adversarial assaults on NLP DNNs in our survey's conclusion.

Our skin is the hefty organ that envelops and shields body. It prevents us from numerous fatal and non fatal diseases. It is observed that due to bacteria or other causes of infection, skin faces certain minor or life threatening diseases. The most prioritized step toward restoring health is early illness signs identification. Identifying Cutaneous Condition from clinical images is one of the foremost challenges in medical image investigation. In the presented study we will enlighten the various artificial Intelligence techniques falling under the categories of supervised machine learning including Probabilistic classifier (Naïve Bayes), Statistical algorithm (Logistic Regression), Ensemble learning (Random Decision Trees), Data analysis technique (Convolutional neural Network) and Kernel approach (Support Vector Machine) to identify and classify the cutaneous condition appropriately so that corrective measures of skin treatment can be endow with. The proposed approach entails collecting images as input, preprocessing, segmenting, feature extraction and lastly applying the classification algorithms to derive the Cutaneous Condition categories. Additional trials are conducted using the different approaches as indicated and it was discovered from the suggested tests that the Convolutional neural Network strategy yields the best results overall. The proposed model is trained, tested, and evaluated using the International Skin Imaging Collaboration (ISIC) 2019 challenge dataset and Human Against Machine with 10,000 training images (HAM10000) for the detection of manifold Cutaneous Condition. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer applications and Management 2025.
