Cloud computing is an Information technology (IT) model that provides convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services), which can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort and service provider interaction. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is a new trend setter in the field of cloud computing which recently emerged as a new architype for hosting and delivering services on the internet. This study will discuss the characteristics and benefits of operating Virtual Web-Hosting together with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model of cloud computing. Moreover, this study will also highlight the architectural principles, main concepts, and state of the art implementation and challenges of virtual web-hosting on Infrastructure as a service (IaaS). © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2018.

Cloud computing is a rapidly growing technology that utilizes internet-based computing power. Data, information, and other resources are provided to users on demand through computers and other devices. Cloud, a popular technology with flexible, cost-effective and configurable computing resources, provides computing resources on demand. Due to its flexible infrastructure, network-centric approach, and easy accessibility, cloud computing is increasingly being used by both small and large organizations. Despite all the benefits of cloud computing, there are concerns about how security can be ensured and how application security is maintained in a cloud environment, as this technology represents a new computing model. Innovations that come with cloud computing, such as multiple users sharing the same physical or virtual resources and organizations obtaining services from a provider, also bring some security risks. The uncertainty surrounding security hinders the progress of the cloud computing market. In this study, two different intrusion detection models were compared using deep learning techniques for cloud security. The two proposed models were trained and tested using the UNSWNB15 dataset. Experimental results show that the first model, based on CNN, has a lower accuracy rate compared to the second hierarchical model created using both CNN and RNN. Our experiments on the network traffic dataset demonstrate that utilizing both CNN and RNN in an intrusion detection system can enhance the ability to detect a wide range of potential security threats by leveraging the strengths of both models to identify patterns in network traffic data. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposed a reconfigurable and flexible SoC architecture for various applications of wireless sensor network (WSN). The hardware-software system reconfiguration can be easy done because the systems utilize FPGA based SoC as a platform. The system also supports various network topologies and interfaces. The supported interface consists of I2C, SPI, USART, etc. The main processing system of SoC is based on ARM v7 processor that has high computing capability. The system utilizes Ubuntu 12.04 LTS as operating system. As consequences, we can easily interface the system with many external devices and create various program applications, such as monitoring system, sensor data warehouse, etc. The system has been successfully implemented with communication interface and PH, temperature, and humidity sensors. The system also has been verified using designed monitoring application for PH, temperature and humidity data that are transferred into gateway.

The significance of distributed applications is constantly rising due to technological advancements such as increasing internetworking of various computing devices and widespread usage of smart phones. Cloud computing is an information technology paradigm that enables ubiquitous access to shared pools of configurable system resources. Load balancing is one among various challenging issues in cloud computing. It is a mechanism to distribute the user requests among the virtual machnies so that the requests are assigned proportional to the capacity of each virtual machine. Balancing of requests prevents the virtual machines from being either overloaded or under loaded. This paper presents a comparison of perfmmance of load balancing algorithms in cloud computing. The algotithms considered for study are Throttled and Equally Spread Current Execution. Particle swarm optimization is also simulated to solve load balancing dynamically. 'The proposed work compares response time of all the three techniques. 'rhe simulation results show that particle swarm optimization performs better for dynamic changes in the system.

The advance of mobile electronics technology has produced handheld appliances allowing both wireless voice and data communications. As data communications become increasingly important in mobile computing applications, traditional microprocessors and the accompanying software are increasingly less able to meet the size constraints of these applications while delivering increased performance. One of the most important operations in the realm of digital signal and image processing is the 2-D Discrete Cosine Transform, used to compress both still images and streaming video. The BISON configurable Digital Signal Processor(BCDSP) architecture detailed here uses multiple memories, few instructions, and a special pipelined floating point arithmetic function core to run on a commercially available Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) board. The results demonstrate that although the clock speed of the FPGA board was 2 orders of magnitude slower than the microprocessor used in this study, the BCDSP implementation was still significantly faster. © 2006 IEEE.

Cloud computing is a model to handle large scale distributed and grid computing by using virtualization. It empowered the client to acquire and manage the configurable shared pool of resources by their own or with minimum interference of service provider. However, Cloud services have heterogeneous Virtual Machines (VMs), with specified configuration and oscillate resources utilization, hosted on various servers situated different geographical location which may lead to imbalanced among resource and task scheduling. This results in poor performance, inefficient energy consumption, violation of service level agreement (SLAs), and instability in system. To overcome these issues, Load balancing plays vital role. The aim of load balancing algorithms is to improve the resource utilization, energy saving and deduction of carbon emission. In this paper, we have surveyed the nature inspired load balancing algorithm such as Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), and Genetic Algorithm (GA), BAT. Our main focus in on Resource Utilization and Energy Saving. © 2017 IEEE.

Data science-based problems are becoming a challenge due to explosive amount of data, if not dreadful. To solve versatile complex problems for Highly configurable systems intelligent algorithms are in consideration. However, the awareness of the crossed strategy in researchers is gradually decreasing due to rapid growth of the field, so that the literature of bio inspired communication is only inclined to a few problem-solving algorithms (such as neural networks, ant colonies optimization, genetic algorithms, and particle swarms). In this paper we specifically elaborate the working of neural networks such as genetic algorithms like Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Artificial bee colony (ABC), Fire Flies, Bacterial Search, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Rhododendron Search, and other genetic algorithms like BAT, and Frog. This revision will pave the way for future research to select an algorithm based on adjustment. Communication in swarms has 3 driven rules. The attributes of the groups of swarms are emergent and stigmatic. Different insects, such as ants, wasps, termites, perform local work for a global purpose with ample resilience as they are not centrally shielded. Finally, the authors discuss biologically inspired communication usage in applications. © 2020 IEEE.

Nowadays, in energy-efficient design of digital systems, approximate computing (AC) has an increasingly important role. Due to human perceptual limitations, redundancy in input data and so on, there is a huge amount of applications that can tolerate errors. In this paper, an accuracy-configurable approximate floating-point (FP) multiplier is proposed to improve hardware consumption for such applications. Mantissa is divided into a short exactly processed part and a remaining approximately processed part. A new addition and shifting method is applied to the approximate part to replace multiplication to improve hardware performance. Experimental results show the 4-bit exact part configuration of the proposed work ensures the accuracy of 99.17% (MRED is 0.83%) with the reduction 67.65% of area, 16.64% of delay and 75.62% of power. The proposed work also shows good performance in image processing and neural networks. © 2020 IEEE.

Many algorithms have been developed in the field of Machine learning and its sub-fields such as neural networks, Deep learning and so on, for applications such as pattern classification, image and video processing, statistical data mining and so forth. These algorithms perform such tasks with remarkable accuracy. However, when implemented in traditional processor core software, many of these algorithms get choked when the size of the network or computational demand of the algorithm scales up. FPGAs and ASICs offer higher computation capability, throughput and bandwidth. Features such as massive parallel processing, high performance and reliability, are strong arguments for FPGAs for Deep Neural Network applications. FPGAs offer reconfigurable, flexible architectures where even the most popular GPUs fall short. This paper proposes a robust, re-configurable architecture for deploying Machine learning algorithms and presents its advantages by implementing a Neural Network in an FPGA and comparing its results with an implementation in a Raspberry Pi. © 2021 IEEE.
