Cancer is a formidable worldwide health concern, characterised by a notable death rate. Breast cancer is one of the main causes of this statistic, taking many lives annually. Prognostic progress has become more and more dependent on gene expression analysis, thanks to recent developments in deep learning algorithms and high-throughput sequencing technologies. Accompanying conventional diagnostic-imaging indicators such as breast density and tissue texture, which are extensively employed by medical professionals and automated technologies, accurate determination of cancer risk is extremely valuable in directing tailored screening and prophylactic measures. Deep learning has become a potent tool for classification and prediction problems in this setting, especially in the field of breast imaging. Here, we present a brand-new deep learning method intended to estimate the risk of breast cancer. Using the CNN and MLP architecture, our approach expands on transfer learning Specifically, our model incorporates risk indicators to improve the evaluation of breast cancer risk, exhibiting better results than current approaches. This paper also examines risk markers for breast cancer, explaining how to utilise them appropriately and outlining their advantages and disadvantages when used with different risk prediction models. It also explores the growing significance of deep learning in risk assessment, highlighting the ability of our suggested model to automate several medical imaging modalities.

The asymptomatic nature of cancer in its early stages has been a major problem in medical research. Terahertz (THz) radiation has great potential in cancer detection due to its outstanding properties of non-ionization, non-invasion, and accuracy. As an auspicious THz radiation source, the photoconductive antenna (PCA) is now becoming adopted in investigating and analyzing THz applications. In this paper, a fabricable novel structure of THz PCA working on THz band is proposed. The design of plasmonic contact fingers is applied to the antenna gap in order to improve the efficiency by enhancing the absorption of surface current, leading to a larger THz radiation. The proposed design is analysed and compared to the conventional design, indicating that the directivity and E-field magnitude of the proposed work are significantly improved in range of 0.3 to 0.6 THz, up to 7.33 dBi and 20.33 v/m. The E-field distribution inside the structure and at the electrodes-substrate interface is provided to show the superior optical absorption by the plasmonic contact fingers. The proposed PCA fulfils the requirements of cancer detection and other medical biosensing scenarios.

The design of high quality very wide-angle optical systems (FFOv > 100 degrees) relies on distortion to obtain a sufficient resolution at, usually, the center of the field of view. Using distortion shape as a parameter during optimization to reach a magnification target is a common technique to achieve optical foveation during the lens design process. This method allows resolution enhancement at selected parts of the field of view since less care is given to parts of the image that are deemed less important. However, accurate control of distortion can be a challenge during optical design since the standard aspherics polynomials don't correlate directly to image magnification. This may in fact slow down optimization since the merit function is much less optimized to approach a solution. In this paper, we address this problem by presenting a method to simplify distortion control during the optical design phase. To achieve this, the use of orthogonal polynomials is used for defining the optical surface shape and will then be used to compare the height of the image plane at a given field of view. We show that in the case of simple and paraxial system, this process is orthogonal and achieve a solution in a single optimization step. We will finally discuss the limits of this method and how it applies to modern lens design problems.

This letter presents the design and measurement of a 3.4 GHz oscillator in the TSMC $0.18 \mu \mathrm{~m}$ CMOS technology. The fully integrated oscillator consists of four sub-oscillators and uses four twisted transformers with the secondary inductors connected to form a twisted closed-loop transmission line for coupling the sub-oscillators. The fully-integrated chip occupies a die area of $1.2 \times 1.2 \mathrm{~mm}^{2}$. The transformers are configured as 8 -shaped structures to minimize the far-field magnetic field radiation from each transformer and the whole transformer. At the supply voltage of 1.7 v, the current consumption is 11.32 mA. The free-running oscillation frequency of the QvCO is tuneable. The measured phase noise at $\mathbf{1 M H z}$ frequency offset is $\mathbf{- 1 2 5. 7 3}$ $\mathrm{dBc} / \mathrm{Hz}$ at the oscillation frequency of 3.4 GHz and the figure of merit (FOM) of the proposed QvCO is $\mathbf{- 1 8 5. 3 8 d B c / H z}$.

A new design of a differential flow refractometer has been developed to monitor the condition of flowing media in a pipeline. A new method of refractive index measurement has been implemented, taking into account the specifics of flowing and closed cuvette arrangement, as well as the angles of incidence of laser radiation on their walls. The effect of changes in the optical density in the flowing liquid on the refractive index measurement result is determined. Seeking a sustainable and ecologically friendly alternative to lead-based solar cells (SCs), this study explores Molyb-denum Diselenide $(\text{MoSe}_design)$ as a promising absorber material by leveraging its compelling structural, electrical and optical features to improve SC efficiency. Initial analysis via Density Functional Theory (DFT) using CASTEP software revealed $\text{MoSe}_design$ ‘s bandgap at 1.22 e v, aligning closely with experimental values. Building upon this fundamental understanding, a novel device architecture is proposed encompassing Mo $\text{Se}_2$ as the absorber layer, $\mathrm{v}_design\mathrm{O}_{5}$ as the hole transport layer (HTL), WS 2 as the electron transport layer (ETL) and FTO as the transparent conductive oxide (TCO). various parameters, including absorber layer thickness and doping density, parasitic resistance, temperature, back contact and bragg reflector were systematically altered to evaluate their influence on the photovoltaic parameters using SCAPS-ID. This simulation reveals open-circuit voltage $(\mathrm{v}_{oc})$ of 0.88 v, short-circuit current density $(\mathrm{J}_{sc})$ of 42.80 ${\mathrm{m}}\mathrm{A}/\text{cm}^design$ , fill factor (FF) of 85.53 % and an impressive power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 32.01 %. These findings demonstrate Mo $\text{Se}_2$ ‘s potential as a safer and more productive material for solar cell applications, shedding light on ways to optimize solar cell design for better performance.

This contribution summarizes the status of our current development of a novel, high-power and high-linearity photodiode. This photodiode is specifically designed to operate over an exceptionally wide optical input power range from below - 10 dBm up to + 20 dBm without relying on self-biasing effects, making it a versatile solution in many potential analog optical RF applications. The backside illuminated photodiode offers a large active diameter, which enables high coupling efficiency, allows optimization of the optical launch conditions to improve the optical saturation current and linearity as well as to improve the thermal power dissipation, which is required for high power operation. The high-power photodiodes, flip-chip-bonded to their heat-dissipation carriers, have been integrated in a hermetically sealed, rugged package with built-in matching circuit and bias-T. The thermal design and the opto-electrical characterization such as bandwidth and linearity will be presented. Preliminary gamma and proton irradiation testing, have been performed with promising results. © 2021 ESA and CNES

In this paper we examine the third-order aberrations of the "generalized Offner" family of designs comprising three concentric mirrors, with the first and third mirrors being not necessarily identical in radius and including the possibility that the object might be displaced from the common centers of curvature. We develop analytic expressions relating the first-order and third-order properties of the system to the radii of the three mirrors and to the object distance. Although one might expect a ring-field system to be relatively tolerant of field curvature, we show that the Petzval Sum affects the other aberrations in an extraordinary manner.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about digital workstyles and upended modern workplaces like never before. The promise and actual application of AI in human resource (HR) management differ significantly. HR directors are becoming quite interested in implementing AI in HRM as a result of these technological developments. The use of AI in HRM and the resulting human-machine collaboration is a topic that both researchers and practitioners are eager to explore. The HR department and employees can benefit from AI application in HRM in a number of ways. But these advantages also carry some hazards related to network security and the law. Associations must create information-driven security to filter information itself rather than merely organisation in order to lower the risks associated with network security. This study has discussed the application of AI concepts in numerous possible HRM sectors. The result showed how these elements impact HRM's ability to be flexible. An iterative process of function is made possible by the closed-loop technological effect of HR, also referred to as the digitalization of HR and ONA. An excellent organisational design is necessary to facilitate the implementation and advancement of the components. This study established a new path by connecting two elements that are common in the current Industry 4.0 eras.

We report on the current design and preliminary developments of the airborne Lidar Emitter and Multi-species greenhouse gases Observation iNstrument (LEMON), which is aiming at probing H2O and its isotope HDO at 1982 nm, CO2 at 2051 nm, and potentially CH4 at 2290 nm, with the Differential Absorption Lidar method (DIAL). The infrared emitter is based on the combination of two Nested Cavity OPOs (NesCOPOs) with a single optical parametric amplifier (OPA) line for high-energy pulse generation. This configuration is enabled by the use of high-aperture periodically poled KTP crystals (PPKTP), which provide efficient amplification in the spectral range of interest around 2 μm with slight temperature adjustments. The parametric stages are pumped with a Nd:YAG laser providing 200 mJ nanosecond double pulses at 75 Hz. According to parametric conversion simulations supported by current laboratory experiments, output energies in the 40 - 50 mJ range are expected in the extracted signal beam whilst maintaining a good beam quality (M2 © 2021 ESA and CNES
