We have developed knife-edge interferometry (KEI) for various engineering applications, including displacement measuring sensors for dynamic system controls and edge quality of the parts, such as cutting tools, corrosive blades, and photomask patterns. This paper reviewed the modeling, design, and dataanalysis of KEI. With the expanding market of manufacturing industries, edge topography and instrumentation technology become more and more vital to industrial manufacturing-related applications such as cutting tool wear inspection, photomask edge roughness determination, and edge corrosion propagation monitoring. Due to the limitation of measurement requirements like non-contact (photomask inspection), in-situ (cutting tool inspection), and real-time (corrosion propagation monitoring), there are only a few methods available in the market above, and those methods are based on post-processing. The KEI is capable of on-machine measurements, especially for the nanopositioning systems, providing a large working range and positioning accuracy compared with the conventional displacement sensor. This review addresses the current and future KEI technology. Here, including the theoretical approaches to KEI, this review details the dataanalysis method to feature the edge topographical information.

For the urgent requirement of a full-scenario adaptive testing and evaluation (T&E) for intelligent vehicles (IVs), multi-dimensional evaluation technologies for IVs are focused on, where a rapid and accurate identification of evaluation preference is essential to production development and marketing in T&E systems for IVs. In this paper, A combined subjective and objective evaluation method for IVs is proposed in the framework of Choquet integral for solve multicriteria decision making. Specifically, we deploy a new aggregation function, the Choquet integral, for effective modeling of the multi-dimensional evaluation process. About operational design domain (ODD), vehicle performance (VP) and interaction and risk control (IRC), a case study with two subjective evaluation methods (Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process) and four objective evaluation methods (principal components analysis, factor analysis method, data envelopment analysis and grey relational analysis) is used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation method.

In the field of automotive component evaluation and verification, cost considerations play a pivotal role in the development of electrical devices. To address this, we propose to use virtual release techniques and integrating simulation through model order reduction methods. By doing so, we can efficiently reduce costs and testing durations. In this context, we demonstrate crucial steps involved in defining the entire process, specifying simulation requirements, and implementing this approach. Our focus is on building an inverter model capable of predicting transient temperature behavior of the DC-link with quantified accuracy, achieved through a combination of Finite Volume Method and Reduced Order modeling methods.
