The paper focuses on the improvement of operational processes of aviation radio equipment. Communication, navigation and surveillance devices are main means to provide the function of air traffic control. The serviceable functioning of radio equipment has significant influence on aviation safety and aircraft availability. The main process during equipment operation is intended use. During this process fulfillment, changes of technical condition are possible. In addition, the probable deterioration of technical condition can decrease the service life of equipment. For timely decision-making about radio equipment decommission and disposal, it is necessary to implement procedures of online monitoring for reliability parameters and remaining useful life estimation for corresponding devices. This paper concentrates on comparative analysis of methods of service life determining during operation of radio equipment to make correct decision on possibility of further operation or decommission.

The overlay plays an important role in chip manufacturing for all technology nodes, but controlling it becomes increasingly difficult when the process node is less than 7nm or the number of 3D layers exceeds 100. The primary challenge in overlay control arises from tool and process variation, which can have a significant impact on chip performance and yield. This paper presents a systematic review and analysis based on overlay data and modeling to monitor process and tool variations by exploring and discussing four critical issues related to overlay control: the overlay mark selection method, over-fitting diagnosis method, scanner tool monitoring method, and process grouping method. The selected methods and models can be applied in various areas, including process development, tool monitoring, feedback model selection, and lot grouping.

This paper proposes a new method of monotonicity, which is used to solve the overfitting problem of the Long-Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model. The main contribution of this paper is applying the monotonicity as priori knowledge to the modeling process. This study uses scatter plots to describe bivariate variables and the Spearman coefficient to extract the monotonicity of data. To exclude most noise point, the scatter diagram is filtered by a binary 0–1 liner program. Base on the monotonicity of data have known, an optimization problem with constraint is proposed to obtain the LSTM neural network model. An experiment of ethylene cracking show that the proposed method can achieve a good predicting performance and less overfitting effects.

With EUV reticle features shrinking and becoming more complicated, conventional 193 nm inspection tools pose significant challenges due to poor signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio, low optical image stability, and limited data processing capability. To meet these challenges, we have implemented machine learning techniques in EUV reticle inspection starting from advanced technology nodes, which effectively improve defect SNR and eliminates false counts. This accomplishment has been made possible through a combination of several innovations addressed in KLA’s third generation Teron™ 640e Series system: 1. Aberration control Compensation Techniques: These techniques reduce intrinsic optical noise, enhancing accurate defect detection. 2. Focus drift improvement: controlling focus drift within tens of nanometers through a full mask area scan is achieved by deploying high-frequency focus trajectory calibration and a low thermal expansion stage. 3. X30 Die-to-database (DB) Inspection Mode: Leveraging Gen-2 deep learning algorithms, this encompasses a comprehensive analysis of layout dimensions and the integration of design elements through to the final pattern generation. The objective is to enhance the modeling process, thereby diminishing noise levels for superior inspection sensitivity. 4. Curvilinear-Friendly Geometry Classification Scheme: KLA-designed Gen-2 feature map for advanced inspection sensitivity control. 5. Enhanced data Preparation Server: Efficiently handling data sizes of OASIS P49 MULTIGON format four times larger than traditional Manhattan formats, this server ensures comparable data preparation time. The 3rd generation Teron™ 640e Series system has been demonstrated to meet production requirements for N technology node and beyond. The next step will focus on cutting-edge optical and algorithm design to overcome resolution limitations and implementing these advanced technologies in the most suitable areas of EUV mask inspection. © 2024 SPIE.

Methanol reforming fuel cells (MRFCs) remains a promising innovation towards the establishment of sustainable energy production. This is evident in the fact that MRFC plays a critical role in the offering of low environmental impacts while increasing the element of energy efficiency. Notably, a series of optimal operations significantly hamper the process of thermal management, a factor that is challenged by the intricate systemic interactions and dynamic operational conditions. This therefore establishes that the traditional control models have widely fallen short in significantly addressing such complexities. This article therefore seeks to integrate the prospects of intelligent control and decision support systems in the thermal integration and management of methanol reforming fuel cells. Harnessing systems and advanced algorithms that include fuzzy logic and neural networks plays a critical role in enabling real-time analysis of the systems sensory data, a factor that facilitates the adaptive control and predictive modeling of the process. Further, findings from the article established that the integration of intelligent control and decision support systems promises an enhanced reliability, efficiency, and performance of the MRFC process.

Hot rolling process is the key process of steel production. Due to the characteristics of high temperature, continuity, high real-time and uncertainty of the process, it is very difficult to schedule the production process of hot rolling. The traditional methods based on mathematical models and algorithm can not meet the actual production needs. Digital twin technology provides a new technology for the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries to intelligent manufacturing. In this paper, the architecture, digital twin models, numerical simulation analysis and data interface of digital twin system are proposed for hot rolling process of steel products. The digital twin system was implemented by using augmented reality (AR) technology and Unity 3D to improve the immersion and information perception. Based on the background of a Chinese hot rolling production line, the function of digital twin system is verified. The experimental results show that the visual modeling technology based on augmented reality is feasible and the digital twin system is correct and reliable. The architecture scheme and implementation technology of the digital twin system have good research significance and application value.

The development of data-driven soft sensors for modeling complex data, particularly in scenarios characterized by strong nonlinearity, high dimensionality, cross-correlation and autocorrelation, remains a significant challenge in process data analysis. Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) networks are highly effective in capturing both forward and backward dependencies within sequences, thereby enhancing the extraction of temporal features from time series data. However, BiLSTM networks may struggle to capture global dependencies, especially in long sequences. To address this limitation, the self-attention mechanism, which excels in modeling global relationships across all positions in the input sequence, can be integrated with BiLSTM by applying weighted attention to the two different directions of BiLSTM, thereby enhancing its performance. This study proposes a novel method called SA-BiLSTM, which combines the strengths of the BiLSTM network and the self- attention mechanism. The self-attention layer captures global dependencies, while the BiLSTM layer extracts comprehensive temporal features in both directions, which are then passed to a fully connected layer for final prediction. Extensive comparisons with traditional methods such as BiLSTM, LSTM with added self-attention mechanism, LSTM, RNN, and SVM validate the superior performance of the proposed SA-BiLSTM method in handling complex time series data.

The growing integration of power electronic devices in power systems has brought attention to frequency stability issues due to low inertia as well as inadequate frequency regulation. In this regard, the paper defines frequency stability and introduces the frequency response process. It then outlines the current research progress in frequency response analysis methods from three perspectives: mathematical analytic algorithm, time domain simulation, and intelligent algorithms based on data-driven. The features of these modeling methods are compared in detail. Furthermore, the paper suggests future research directions and technical improvements by reviewing the frequency stability issues in power electronics-dominated power systems (PEDPSs). It is hoped that future efforts will deepen the understanding of frequency stability in PEDPSs, contributing to developing power systems with improved safety, stability, and efficiency.

In order to ensure the safety and manufacturing efficiency of pharmaceuticals, rigorous quality control measures are necessary. However, existing quality control systems often struggle with industrial process complexity and regulatory requirements. The proposed study highlights the need for a revolutionary strategy to overcome the limitations of existing systems. Quality control systems in existing systems have limitations such as real-time monitoring, insufficient data analysis for pattern identification, and limited predictive capabilities. These limitations have an impact on the industry's ability to recognize and manage quality concerns, posing a danger to medicine manufacturing. For addressing these issues, a novel approach to maintain quality control in the pharmaceutical sector using big data analytics is proposed. Advanced analytics are used for real-time monitoring, data analysis and predictive modeling in the proposed system. The results and analysis through extensive comparisons shows proposed big data analytics system achieves 95% fault detection, 40% downtime reduction, and 35% waste reduction in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The proposed system's ability to handle massive datasets allows it to identify complicated patterns and abnormalities, enabling proactive quality control. The implementation exceeds industry standards, addressing data privacy and security concerns.
