Mathematical modeling in the study of dynamic processes in biomedicine is currently widely used. The use of mathematical statistics and formal logic methods in the analysis of complex biomedical processes is especially important for increasing the efficiency of biomedical research. Taking into account the established growth of the technical base of research, the development of new technologies and technical means for obtaining and processing statistical biomedical information, the use of mathematical modeling methods is a fairly promising direction in scientific and practical work. In this paper the authors studies the possibility of improving the quality of biomedical process modeling using the MATLAB software environment. The research was carried out on real statistical material obtained by the authors during a full-scale experiment to study the impact of a complex of external factors on patients. The results obtained in this work can be used in the implementation of scientific and applied research of biomedical processes.

The rapid development of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) has greatly facilitated various aspects of people's lives and profoundly transformed their daily routines and work environments. Sensor devices, a vital component of the IoT, offer a reliable and real-time data source for the advancement of applications like artificial intelligence and the industrial internet. However, there are still numerous unresolved issues in the data collection process of sensor devices, particularly in harsh conditions. Utilizing drone platforms for real-time data collection appears to be a viable approach at present. This paper addresses the optimization and control of energy consumption in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) data collection. It comprehensively considers factors such as the distribution of sensor devices, UAV speed control, and sensor energy consumption. By integrating Markov fluid theory, we provide a mathematical expression of the relationship between UAV energy consumption, the distribution of sensor devices, and data collection transmission variables in this scenario.

Path tracking control is a fundamental technology in autonomous vehicle applications, but it faces significant challenges related to vehicle modeling and external disturbances. In this paper, an improved model-free adaptive control strategy, leveraging data-driven approaches and gradient descent parameter optimization, is proposed. First, an enhanced lineofsight method is used to generate the desired heading angle, simplifying the multi-dimensional path tracking problem into a more manageable heading angle tracking task. Then, the gradient descent model-free adaptive control strategy is applied, with the core idea of incorporating the gradient descent algorithm in the controller's time-varying parameter update process to achieve optimal control. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is validated through simulations, demonstrating its robustness in nonlinear systems and path tracking control scenarios. Comparative analysis with model-based methods highlights the superior stability and adaptability of the approach. © 2025 IEEE.

The emergence of Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) caused a revolution in Air Traffic control (ATC) thanks to the numerous benefits this protocol provides, especially when compared to traditional surveillance technologies. Notably, ADS-B offers improved location accuracy from its use of GPS while reducing operational and maintenance costs. Despite these advantages, ADS-B's open broadcast of clear-text messages resulted in several vulnerabilities that negatively affected its widespread usage. In previous work, we proposed ADS-Bsec as a framework that leverages technologies such as cryptography, location verification and artificial intelligence to address the core of such vulnerabilities while keeping compatibility with the original protocol. However, air traffic services require aircraft crossing different authorities' zones to obtain additional authorization tokens, especially during international flights, thus imposing the need for ADS-Bsec to have a key management scheme that addresses this added layer of complexity. This paper presents a solution for this issue that extends the ADS-Bsec framework with the proposed implementation of a key management module based on our prior work on the key exchange protocol. The proposed module exchanges and manages keys to be used in the message verification process for each Flight Information Region (FIR) the aircraft goes through during its flight. We evaluate our ideas with a simulation of a real-world scenario based on actual data from a flight departing New York JFK airport and landing at Los Angeles LAX airport. We provide an analysis and a discussion of the results.

This article presents a comprehensive comparison of model-based and data-driven state observers for dc-dc converters. Observers play a critical role in dynamic systems, providing insights into unmeasurable states for control and diagnosis. The objective of this study is to compare the development, accuracy, computational efficiency and applicability of model-based and data-driven observer approaches. As a case study, a Kalman filter will function as the model-based observer, and a recurrent neural network will function as a data driven observer for estimating the states of a bidirectional DC-DC converter in boost mode operation. The observers are implemented for simulated and physical boost converter models, and the results of the comparison are presented for each.

The automated insulin delivery (AID) system is a powerful approach for regulating the blood glucose concentration (BGC) of people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) by delivering optimal doses of insulin. While rapid progress has been made in developing hybrid closed-loop AID system in recent decades and several commercial AID systems are available, meal consumption, physical activity, inter- and intra-subject variations, and significant time delay in diffusion of the infused insulin are still major challenges that are preventing the development of fully-automated AID systems. In this work, a fully-automated personalized adaptive model predictive control (paMPC) approach based on a recursively updated latent variable model is proposed for BGC regulation. In the glucose prediction model, stability of the glycemic dynamics that serves as prior knowledge is incorporated into the modeling process to improve its numerical properties and prediction power. Based on the model, a fully personalized MPC (pMPC) with a personalized model and personalized hyperparameters is proposed. Then, adaptive rules in response to unannounced meals and physical activity are proposed and integrated into the pMPC to improve the control effectiveness and reduce the risk of exercise-induced hypoglycemia. The results of a simulation study demonstrate the advantages of the proposed approach in BGC regulation where manual input of meals and physical activity are not needed, achieving full automation of the AID system. The pMPC kept BGC in range for 75.8% of the simulation period and adaptive pMPC for 83.45%.

Blockchain and SDN are combined in the "DistB-SD Cloud" architecture to secure and execute cloud-integrated IoT data. Cloud Computing Management and Services, Distributed Secure Blockchain Methodology, SDN Environment, and data Extraction comprise the architecture. SDN-enabled devices safely gather and process sensor data in the data plane, while OpenFlow and OpenStack handle network component communication in the control plane. The application layer improves network administration with dynamic configuration and data analytics. Distributed nodes and hash chains ensure system integrity in blockchain-based access control and ledger maintenance. Blockchain and SDN improve security, privacy, and scalability by resisting attacks. The architecture outperforms OpenFlow-based SDN models in throughput and bandwidth, proving its stability under different network conditions. The study shows that the suggested "DistB-SD Cloud" achieves increased throughput (22.1 KB/s) and bandwidth (1.9 GB/s) when nodes and packet arrival rates increase, making it a feasible solution for safe and scalable cloud computing in IoT-based systems.

The tightening process is a critical component of modern intelligent manufacturing, and the system design and process control of the tightening system have a decisive impact on the efficiency and quality of this process. The application of intelligent control in this field has shown great potential. In this study, a hybrid-filtered fuzzy PI controller for an automatic fastening system was proposed. It employs a conditional filtering mechanism to eliminate the differential explosion issue in the input of the fuzzy controller when there is a large speed deviation, while minimizing data distortion when the speed stabilizes. To test the effectiveness of this controller, a load model and the fastening system were modeled in Matlab/Simulink, which was used to test the controller. In comparison with traditional PI controllers and fuzzy PI controllers, it was found that this controller has significant advantages in terms of precision and stability in speed control. It has great potential for applications in conditions with high noise and rapidly increasing loads. However, further research and verification are needed on the mechanisms by which parameters such as filter width and threshold affect the control system, as well as their deployment effects in hardware.

Accurate air flow measurements have been a highly sought-after discipline in the industry in recent years, especially among manufacturers of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems. One of the challenges for scientific research is the area of simulation and verification of results for sub-components of these systems, such as reducers, diffusers, or control dampers. Although these parts have a significant impact on measurements, they are often greatly simplified and or completely ignored in CAD models by HVAC manufacturers. As a result of this simplification, significant differences arise between laboratory measured results and CFD simulation results. However, to obtain realistic values from the simulation, it is necessary to use 3D data as close to reality as possible. This paper describes the process of creating a realistic model of a control damper that is part of the distribution box of the air ventilation system. This damper was 3D scanned using an ATOS ii Triple Scan 5M and processed using GOM Professional. The dimensions of the duct and the angles between the end positions of the control damper were measured. Using reverse engineering in Geomagic Design X and the measured values, a sufficiently accurate 3D model of the control damper was created. The output data from reverse engineering was used as input data for CFD analysis. The CFD simulation of the control damper was performed for 3 different flow rates (10, 20, and 35 m3/h). Comparisons of simulation results between CAD data from the HVAC manufacturer and data from 3D scanning achieve a difference of up to 35 % (when the control damper is fully closed or partially open). Using a realistic 3D model of the control damper obtained by reverse engineering, the results and outputs of the simulation were significantly refined. The results of this work can be used in the design of distribution boxes or entire HVAC systems. © 2022 IEEE.

The paper is devoted to the process of constructing infographic models for visualizing the results of analysis in BI-systems. The subject of research is the regularities of the choice of data visualization tools for an analytical query depending on the structure and properties of the data set using the Multiforms platform as an example. A formal description of the dataset data and metadata obtained as a result of executing a user request to a global analytical model on the Multiforms platform allows us to set a task of developing a new approach to the visualization of datasets that provides an informed choice of chart type, automatic determination of axes and displayed values. Based on the study of the visual components of the DevExteme library, it was possible to develop a general algorithm for native user support when choosing a diagram that best reflects the contents of the data. The considered examples illustrate the operation of the algorithm and make sure that the recommended ways of presenting data correspond to the structure of the dataset and display the content in the appropriate way.
