In order to improve the accuracy of ultra-short-term wind power prediction, an improved error decoupling approach for wind power prediction result analysis is proposed, with the dependencies of data-driven wind power prediction results on the input data fully considered to make the analysis more reasonable. First, this approach decomposes the prediction process into three key phases, i.e., numerical weather forecast (NWP), wind-power conversion model construction, and prediction result correction. In this respect, the wind prediction errors are assumed to come from three parts, including NWP errors, wind-power conversion modeling errors, and prediction result correction errors. Then, NWP conditions and actual meteorological conditions are separately taken as the inputs of the wind-power conversion model to infer the NWP errors. Further, the information on wind farm operating schedules is exploited to analyze the errors of prediction result correction. Based on these analyses, a group of error decoupling equations are established, whereby the errors in each phase are efficiently estimated by solving the error decoupling equations without iteration. The test results with actual wind farm data show that this approach can more reasonably decouple and estimate wind power prediction errors than existing alternatives. © 2022 The Institution of Engineering and Technology. This process involves several steps, including sampling, quantization, and encoding, to convert continuous signals into a digital format that can be easily manipulated and analyzed by digital *** quest to enhance the speed of converters is driven by the ever-increasing demand for rapid and efficient data processing. The research into additive successive approximation methods has yielded a novel approach: bitwise balancing. This innovative method, supported by a robust mathematical model, promises to revolutionize analog-to-digital conversion by significantly reducing the conversion time. The empirical analysis suggests that this reduction could range from 6 to $25 \%$, marking a substantial improvement over existing methods. This breakthrough shows not only the potential for faster data processing but also sets a new direction for the development of technical apparatuses designed for swift information form conversion.

All military services have invested heavily in creating, deploying, and training with large simulation systems. Historically, these have applied artificial intelligence algorithms to controlling non-player characters (NPCs) or semi-Automated forces (SAF) during the execution phase of the events. This has allowed a few human role players to control a much larger collection of virtual/simulated entities or aggregated units. Structured algorithms like finite state machines and knowledge-based systems have typically been limited to this single execution phase of the entire training process. However, "the new AI", deep learning and machine learning algorithms, operate much differently from the previous generation. These models configure themselves (or learn) from massive amounts of collected data (both labeled and unlabeled). As such, real applications require the collection of massive historical data. Luckily, military simulation events regularly generate multiple gigabytes of data as a by-product of the training event. Previously a tiny portion of this was saved and curated to perform after action review, and the remainder was deleted since it had no practical use and consumed scarce and expensive storage. To leverage deep learning, the military services need to reinvent their policies, relationships, and processes for handling these huge volumes of previously worthless, but now priceless, data. Additionally, deep learning models are much more widely applicable than the previous generation of algorithms. DL models can learn to process huge volumes of data to contribute to the analysis or after action review stage of an exercise. They can also be used to auto generate variations on giant scenario databases. They can match exercise plans against exercise results to determine whether training objectives have been met. Transcriptomics is an effective tool in disease discovery that has undergone large advancements in recent years;available technologies allow for the generation of datasets with tens of thousands of outputs. This requires large computational power and advanced statistical analysis for datasets. Unfortunately, there is debate over the ideal methods to process raw data, analyze and identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs), and generate robust results while limiting Type I and Type ii errors. Agilent™ microarray data were obtained from two in-house datasets from multiple chemical exposure experiments (One-Color, SurePrint Zebrafish Gene Expression v3 4 x 44k Microarray, design ID: 026437). Analyses aimed to detect the molecular mechanisms involved in metabolic disorders associated with environmental contaminants in association with the Horizon 2020 OBERON project. 5-day post fertilization (dpf) and 5-week post fertilization (wpf) zebrafish were exposed for 48 hours. In 5 dpf zebrafish, embryos were exposed to two concentrations of the plasticizer bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP;25 nM and 10 µM), positive control (amiodarone;1 µM), and a carrier control [dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO);0.1%]. In 5 wpf zebrafish, larvae were exposed to a carrier control (0.1% DMSO), rosiglitazone (RGZ;10 nM), tributyltin (TBT;50 nM), and triclosan (TCS;0.5, 1.0, 3.0 nM). Comparisons were completed between three statistical method pipelines to analyse a transcriptomic data set for DEG discovery and functionality comparisons;Linear Models for Microarray data (LIMMA;R software), moderated t-test (Agilent GeneSpring™ software), and Significant analysis for Microarray (SAM;R software). Business processes modeling typically faces challenges in the integrated representation of processes’ lifecycle, informational, and organizational models. Despite the plethora of process modeling languages (workflow languages), studies on their expressiveness fail to identify a consensus on the languages and techniques to use. Consequently, some languages like LSAWfP, brimming with new techniques, continue to be proposed. LSAWfP relies on attributed context-free grammars to offer another perspective on process modeling with the goal of their decentralized execution. Preliminary studies on the expressiveness of LSAWfP demonstrate its support for process modeling cases generally supported by commercial solutions. However, these studies are insufficient as they only explore a small facet of LSAWfP’s expressiveness. This paper delves deeper into the expressiveness of LSAWfP by comparing it to the BPMN language, a domain standard. The comparative analysis between these two languages in this paper is conducted along three dimensions: control flow, data integration, and organizational structure. To leverage the theoretical studies in this paper, a foundation for a tool converting LSAWfP specifications into BPMN models is also proposed. In the context of rapidly advancing smart cities, efficient crowd analysis plays a crucial role in ensuring public safety, urban planning, and resource management. This paper presents a novel framework that combines the popular You Only Look Once (YOLO) object detection algorithm with advanced crowd analysis techniques, aiming to improve the understanding and management of urban crowd dynamics. The proposed framework leverages YOLO’s real-time object detection capabilities to detect various objects within video frames, with a particular focus on identifying individuals. To initiate the crowd analysis process, the detected persons are isolated and tracked over time, enabling the collection of valuable data for comprehensive crowd behavior analysis. By leveraging this rich dataset, the framework enables the extraction of key crowd characteristics, such as crowd density, crowd flow patterns, crowd distribution, and crowd congestion levels. Moreover, the framework incorporates techniques to analyze the extracted data, offering valuable insights into crowd dynamics.

Monitoring the operation of the ship's systems, especially the main engine, has always been carried out by the ship's crew, whose reports were often not considered in a timely manner, resulting in engine and equipment failures. Technological development has enabled much more complex and faster monitoring of engine operation, especially with electronically controlled engines. Complex and fast monitoring using new technologies enables the recording of a large number of parameters in real time and their distribution to competent experts who do not necessarily have to stay on board but can be informed and active from the office on land. analysis of parameters in real time enables an immediate reaction to anomalies, and timely intervention in order to prevent failure, i.e. increase the percentage of airworthiness of the ship during its working life. The paper explains the key components of a modern surveillance system and describes the process of analyzing remotely collected data. © 2023 University of Split, FESB.

We present an epidemiological compartment model, SAIR(S), that explicitly captures the dynamics of asymptomatic infected individuals in an epidemic spread process. We first present a group model and then discuss networked versions. We provide an investigation of equilibria and stability properties for these models, and present simulation results illustrating the effects of asymptomatic-infected individuals on the spread of the disease. We also discuss local isolation effects on the epidemic dynamics in terms of the networked models. Finally, we provide initial parameter estimation results based on simple least-squares approaches and local test-site data.

Study the experimental data about prophase insulin resistance, from 6 time point, of obese rats with type ii diabetes mellitus (type ii diabetes mellitus, shortened as T2DM). Explore the development process of pre-diabetes mellitus in obese rats, try to find the possibility of physiological mutations. At first, do data preprocessing and analyze differences of samples in differential time points. Then dig out hidden information in the data. Using the autocorrelation coefficient and partial autocorrelation coefficient, as well as using the improved Mann Kendall test, explore both the physiological characteristics in mutagenesis and time range of mutagenesis in experimental animals from health state to obese T2DM. It is believed that the possible time period for physiological mutations to occur in the experimental animal is at or near the 5th time point. The IR/C's data (IR: the data on rats in blank group, C: the data on rats in control group) at the 5th time point T_5 showed that the mean relative values of BW (BW: body weight), LEE's (Lee index, Level of Obesity Index), GLU (GLU: blood glucose) and HOMA-IR (HOMA-IR: Homeostasis Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance) index all reached their maximum peak.

Power factor correction techniques can effectively reduce harmonic pollution and improve power factor. In this paper, the three-state Boost circuit model is used to make the inductor current and input current follow the reference current for sinusoidal change under the control mode of current following, and the power factor correction is carried out by fully considering the difference between charge and discharge energy in the same switching cycle. The designed hardware system is based on the DSP chip TMS320F28069 as the control core, which processes the sampling data in the power factor correction circuit, and gives the control signal to complete the control, reduce the harmonic content, and improve the system power factor. A simulation experiment platform was built to test the hardware system to verify the effectiveness of the circuit model and control.
