The emergence of Web services has changed the Internet a lot, and greatly facilitated the development of service based software systems. How to select appropriate services and compose them according to given context to satisfy a user's requirement is a big challenge. This paper proposes a novel Genetic Algorithm (GA) method to synthesis web services in a context-aware environment. We first present a context space model to illustrate both contexts and services in a formal way, we utilize GA to compose context-aware services according to users' preference. We transform the problem of service composition to a multi-objective optimization problem. To resolve the conflict and dependencies among services in GA process, we propose a service similarity tree (SST) model to measure the similarity between services. Finally, we design a simulation experiment to evaluate our method. The experiment result shows that our method is a promising one to solve service composition problem in a context-aware environment.

an empirical self-heating SPICE MOSFET model which accurately portrays the vertical DMOS power MOSFET electrical and thermal responses is presented. This macro-model implementation is the culmination of years of evolution in MOSFET modeling. This new version brings together the thermal and the electrical models of a VDMOS MOSFET. The existing electrical model [2], [3] is highly accurate and is recognized in the industry. The sequence of the model calibration procedure using parametric data is described. simulation response of the new self-heating MOSFET model track the dynamic thermal response and is independent of SPICE's global temperature definition.

modeling semiconductor devices has become mandatory in most challenging research activity. Finding a powerful tool that models these devices represents a goal of these users. In this work, Silicon PIN photodiode is designed using complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) Technology. COMSOL Multiphysics is the selected challenging tool for simulation and characterization of this design. The adjustment of the proposed model as well as the different outputs like Electric field and Electric potential distribution, I-V characteristics and other parameters are presented. The output current has shown an allure of a current that consists of three regions: Trap-Assisted Tunneling, Band-to-Band Tunneling and avalanche. These current regions in addition to the high value (10 5 V/cm) of the obtained electric field are typical for Silicon Avalanche Photodiodes (SiAPD). The possibility to use this tool for SiAPD analysis and simulation is therefore discussed.

The functionality verification of a mixed-signal sys-tem on chip requires the model for RF front-end with high simulation efficiency. The pure passband model cannot meet this requirement when a long system time simulation is run. The equivalent baseband model is an alternative. In this work, a new baseband modeling method based on a self-defined signal type is realized on the platform of SystemC/-AMS. This method can more accurately describe the block nonlinearity than the traditional equivalent baseband model. For the application in the design of a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver front-end, the baseband simulation based on this method has much faster simulation speed than passband simulation.

The present papers deals with the designing of MEMS gyroscope for high driving resonance frequency and to study the effects of various structural parameters on the device performance. The design is based on comb capacitor configuration, which is excited by electrostatic force, sensing is based on transverse axis movement and is designed with 2μm thick polycrystalline silicon layer. The device is modeled for single DOF in accordance with standard SOI-MUMP's technology using MEMS Pro v5.1 simulation tool.

In this paper, a neuronal model based on artificial neural network (ANN) is developed to model the so called neutralization line isolation technique. This approach allows a faster analysis and design of multi-antenna systems based on two PIFAs mounted on a mobile phone type printed circuit board (PCB) with very significant time gain and accurate results compared to other electromagnetic simulation tools whether in analysis or design sense.

We present a statistical approach that improves the modeling of Intersymbol Interference for the design and validation of High-Speed Serial Links. The method combines the computational advantages of a statistical technique and the accuracy in modeling the realistic pulse shape of a Spice simulation. Results obtained with the proposed approach are compared with Spice simulations of a 2.5 Gb/s CMOS differential transmitter driving different types of channel. Good agreement with the reference Spice simulations is achieved with a drastic reduction of computation time.

Based on the finite-difference method, a typical Tm-doped double-clad fiber amplifier modeling is comprehensively analyzed through the rate equations and propagation equations. The impacting factors such as amplified spontaneous emission (ASE), wavelength and power of the seed, fiber length, pumping power and fiber facet reflectivity are discussed. simulation results show that there exist the most suitable fiber length and pump power while the amplifier has the maximum output power and the best signal to noise ratio. Moreover, the influence of ASE can be effectively inhibited by reducing the fiber facet reflectivity, especially the front fiber facet reflectivity, choosing the proper seed wavelength and increasing the seed power. The theoretical models and simulation results presented in this paper have a certain reference value for the design and development of high-power Tm-doped double-clad fiber amplifiers.

Due to the number and the nature of components integrated in them, Systems-On-a-Chip (SoC) have become increasingly complex. To solve the problem of cost, flexibility and the time-to-market, systems designed with mixed hardware software systems has increased and the verification method has become a key position of the design process. This paper describes a new hardware/software co-verification methodology for SoC, based on the integration of a SystemC simulator and an FPGA accelerator. Between the SystemC simulator [1] [2] and the FPGA board, a shared communication was established to accelerate the simulation via flexible interfaces. The key issue is the synchronization between the two parts.
