In the period from the ii World War to the mid-1980s, Italy witnessed growing attention towards the industrialization of the construction sector with different territorial specificities. The paper analyses some 70s and 80s public housing districts in Palermo, retracing the history of industrialization in Sicily. The contribution of prof. Benedetto Colajanni and his disciples studying the typological, structural and figurative aspects of these buildings, is highlighted. These are mainly systems for the industrialization of concrete casting with couffrage-tunnels or banches et tables developed in Sicily, thanks to the design contest and the activities carried out by the building cooperatives adhering to the Ravennate Consortium which, at the end of the 1960s, had acquired the patents and machinery for the industrialization of concrete casting of load-bearing structures. The first example of the application of industrialization in Palermo was the Sperone district, a testing ground for both the companies and the design group, headed by Benedetto Colajanni. It was necessary to wait about a decade, with the PEEP districts and the law 25/80, to test the completion on site with modular and standardized elements, both for the closures of the facades and the internal partitions. The paper provides a contribution to the knowledge of a specific construction typology that has characterized a wide range of residential buildings both in Palermo and in the rest of Italy and which requires maintenance and recovery interventions that can guarantee the performance standards required by current regulations, maintaining the original identity.

This paper represents research and validation of aerial refueling technology for fixed-wing cluster UAVs conducted in Subject 4 of the Unmanned Scramble 2023 event. Firstly, a tanker state estimation method is designed, which can estimate the complete motion state of the tanker during UAV tracking. Second, a relative navigation method based on target features is developed, which utilizes deep neural networks to complete target detection and relative navigation solving. Further, a multi-UAV cooperative refueling control strategy is designed to ensure that the refueling of the cluster UAV is completed in an orderly manner. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified by small fixed-wing cluster UAV flight test.

VSTPOL is a project to provide a new polarimetric capability to the VST. With its 2.6m primary mirror and 1 degree x 1 degree field of view, the upgrade will make the VST the first large wide field survey telescope with optical polarimetry, filling a specific niche in the astronomical instrumentation landscape. The polarimetric mode will replace the electro-mechanical system that hosts the ADC, which currently sits unused, so that the filter can be accommodated without compromising the ordinary optical configuration. The upgrade requires the design of the mechanical interface to the telescope structure and optics, and the integration of the instrument electronic and software systems. In this paper we present an overview of the approach adopted for the project management and system engineering towards the design of the polarimetric mode addition. In particular, this includes the activities related to the definition of schedule, product and work breakdown structure, deliverables, technical requirements analysis and interfaces.
