System modeling of software generally does not include security modeling. System security strategy and security mechanisms are often developed as the system supplement and improvement measures, at the latter part of system development. The irregular processing method of security requirement brings great risks to the latter security maintenance and integrations between systems. The integration of RBAC security model and the usual UML models about a system was described and the integrated approach and process was given with an example in this paper.

The concept and characteristic of virtual product development technology are introduced,and the four stages of starting stage,development stage, prosperous stage and future development stage show that virtual product development technology uses computer complete the whole process of product development,and is a reappearance in virtual environment of real process of design and manufacture of product, a integration of virtual computer technology combined with modem designing method,which explain that Pro/E MasterCAM can realize the value of product virtual development. Its advantages are also analyzed,as well as its development tendency.

In order to carry out rapid response of design of products, aimed at problems existed in realm cooperation and temporary order during the design process of emergency equipment, this paper proposes design mode of emergency equipment based on cloud environment, implementation method of cloudy domain analysis on design demand and mapping technology, serial expand strategy on discrete design resource and strategy integrated design task with resource in time, it can implement reasonable allocation and delivery in design the task resource demand domain DR, the state control domain T and feasible resource domain R. Correctness and feasibility of model and method is analyzed and verified with examples.

The design process comprises the Conceptual Phase, the Embodiment Phase and the Detail design Phase in which commercial PLM/CAD systems mainly support the latter ones. This situation causes the discontinuity in the overall design information flow: Customer Needs (CNs) - Functional Requirements (FRs) design Parameters (DPs) Key Characteristics (KCs) Geometric Parameters (GPs). There is also a lack of knowledge reuse in routine design process, resulting in large cost-waste of the overall design process. Aiming to enhance the continuity of the design information flow and facilitate the knowledge reuse, this paper makes use of a knowledge-based framework to integrate conceptual design tools: Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Axiomatic design (AD), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and the MOKA methodology into CATIA v5 system. A knowledge-based application (KBA) on the large aircraft y-bolt component design is presented as a case study to validate the proposed framework. The result shows how this novel integrated framework and KBA system could benefit designers in a practical way.

Continuous reel low weight and multi-color soft pack trademarks are used in the high-speed large-krolume packaging production process during some new production process. However, most of the existing equipments in the factory are discrete single production machine. Therefore the production process of multi-feature continuous reel soft pack trademarks is needed to be solved urgently. Multi-feature continuous reel soft pack trademark set printing color clarity, color graded accuracy, trademarks pattern and text position accuracy in one. Disposable multi-point high-precision positioning technology, flat local heat transfer technology and digital intermittent control technology are used to achieve continuous reel trademarks high-precision double location synchronization hot stamping. That is, multiple convex word and laser holographic anti-counterfeit pattern intermittent synchronization hot stamping. Machine vision inspection system scan each pixel of trademark with high-speed CCD array and collect it into a computer database for comparison with the standard sample. The defects are recorded by electronic coordinates, building electron stripping system and removing unqualified trademarks, a set of production process system of new continuous reel soft pack trademarks is achieved. This research provides a theoretical basis for technological transformation of enterprises and products the new packaging production, completes its corresponding transformation and crafts integration. It could help enterprise form a new production process system.

The FP7 Research for SME project IMAGINE - a low cost, high performance monolithic passive mm-wave imager front-end is described in this paper. The main innovation areas for the project are: i) the development of a 94 GHz radiometer chipset and matching circuits suitable for monolithic integration. The chipset consists of a W-band low noise amplifier, fabricated using the commercially available OMMIC D007IH GaAs mHEMT process, and a zero bias resonant interband tunneling diode, fabricated using a patented epi-layer structure that is lattice matched to the same D007IH process;ii) the development of a 94 GHz antenna adapted for low cost manufacturing methods with performance suitable for real-time imaging;iii) the development of a low cost liquid crystal polymer PCB build-up technology with performance suitable for the integration and assembly of a 94 GHz radiometer module;iv) the assembly of technology demonstrator modules. The results achieved in these areas are presented.

Some approaches and strategies of building a manufacturing process managing system in a digital enterprise environment were introduced in this paper. The system was based on resource optimization deployment and composed of five subsystems. Firstly, the structure of the whole system's framework and the function of every subsystem were discussed. Then the XML-based data exchange between different subsystems, data access interface specification, and the integration pattern based on XML Web Services were presented in detail. Finally, a successful enterprise application of the system was described. The application result proves that the system was practical and helpful to achieve the order-oriented manufacturing process collaborative management and the social manufacturing resources' optimization deployment.

integration of materials and manufacturing engineering technology directly into the mechanical design process through physics-based computational tools is revolutionizing the way components are being design and manufactured within the turbine engine industry. Linkage of mechanical design and solid models with simulation tools that provide manufacturing and mechanical property information is providing design engineers with greater capabilities to conduct holistic design optimization. In the paper presented, examples of materials and manufacturing process simulations along with the overarching approach within ICME (integrated computational materials engineering) to link these simulation capabilities to design methods will be discussed. Several nanoscale-computing fabrics based on novel materials such as semiconductor nanowires, carbon nanotubes, graphene, etc. have been proposed in recent years. However, their integration and interfacing with external CMOS has received only limited attention. In this paper we explore integration challenges for nanoscale fabrics focusing on registration and overlay requirements especially. We address the following questions: (i) How can we mitigate the overlay requirements between nano-manufacturing and conventional lithography steps? (ii) How much overlay precision is necessary between process steps? and (iii) What is the impact on yield if different overlays are used? We propose and evaluate a new 3D integration approach that combines standard CMOS design rules with nano-manufacturing constraints. For a nanoprocessor design implemented in N3ASIC (a hybrid nanowire-CMOS fabric) we show that a 100% yield is achievable even for overlay precisions achievable with current CMOS manufacturing (3=±8nm, ITRS 2009) while still retaining 3X density advantage compared to a projected 16nm CMOS scaled design. © 2011 IEEE.

Miniaturization and integration are the dominating factors for the success of numerous optical devices. Conventional manufacturing processes for the fabrication of precise glass optics by means of grinding and polishing cannot cope the increasing demands in terms of precision, volume and costs. Here, precision glass molding is the enabling technology to meet these demands of the future optical products and applications. Since the market requests further miniaturization and integration of the micro optical components the possession of the entire sequence of processes is absolutely essential. With the accomplished and ongoing developments at the Fraunhofer IPT, the replication of double-sided (a) spherical and (a) cylindrical glass lenses with form accuracies of < 150 nm as well as lens arrays and even freeform optics could be realized. Therefore, a sequence of processes needs to be passed. The FEM-simulation of the molding process which was driven to a point capable to simulate even the molding of freeform optics is the first process step. Further on, new mold design concepts were generated to enable the replication of free formed optics. The research works focusing on the mold manufacturing led to sophisticated grinding process strategies able to realized complex mold geometries such as lens arrays. With regard to the coating of the molds, proceedings were developed assuring a defect free and uniform coating which enables the longevity of the molds and therewith helps reducing the final costs per lens. Thus, the precision glass molding becomes more and more interesting even for highly complex mid volume lots, characteristic for European or US optics manufacturer.
