The increasing capability of nanosatellite components, combined with the reductions in cost and wider availability have seen the number of student-built nanosatellites increase over recent years. These programmes are often part of skills development initiatives such as the Launch UK Nanosatellite design Competition which aims to improve the skills of young engineers and scientists in higher education. OirthirSAT is a scottish student-led project with funding from the UK Space Agency to demonstrate in-orbit processing of coastal habitats using machine learning algorithms while encouraging careers in space and promoting space systems engineering and climate science as areas of research. A key enabler for improving the skills of young engineers in the space sector is access to hardware and assembly, integration and testing (AIT) procedures. Most student projects will feature the design of Cubesat components but will rarely progress to a full verification process resulting in a qualification review. The OirthirSAT mission has progressed from CDR into phase D of the engineering lifecycle and it is therefore important to share information relating to the approach to AIT for other student teams that may progress through to the qualification stage. This paper outlines the AIT activities planned and undertaken during the OirthirSAT programme and highlights the key testing activities performed to fully qualify the nanosatellite. A guide to the processes, sign-off procedures and testing methodology derived from ECSS standards for the nanosatellite subsystems is provided along with a general overview of the OirthirSAT mission to date. A plan for incorporating the subsystem engineering models into engineering course laboratories to maximise the impact of the programme is included. Copyright © 2024 by Mr. Joe Gibbs.

With the development of smallsats technology, short-development-cycle, low-cost and high reliability have become its trend. New Space brings a new way of thinking about space which involves technological innovations to create new more cost-efficient space systems that can open entirely new markets. Technology innovations have led to new ways of designing and building satellites. In the era of new space, the ability to reduce cost represents the core competitiveness of enterprises. The development of a small satellite can generally be divided into design, devices development, assembly integration, and test, launch into orbit, operation, etc. with the practice of more than twenty smallsats developed, this paper analyzes the main cost composition in the satellite development, methods of reducing cost were put forward. In the primary design and critical design phase, the philosophy that cost was decided by design was followed, and both the technology and cost were considered at the same time. An integrated optimization design was adopted to break the boundaries of subsystems and make full use of hardware resources. System design based on off-the-shelf products was encouraged and new products were strictly restricted. Modulization was an effective way to control development cost. In the process of device development, cautious selection of COTS parts has become popular. The industrial parts verified by flight experiences have been proven to be applicable to low orbit space missions through necessary qualification, software and hardware fault-tolerant design, and system level fault-tolerant design was helpful to mitigate the single event effects. The manufacturability and testability of products were paid much more attention to improve the efficiency of manufacture and testing. In the manufacturing process, an automatic production line is used to improve manufacturing efficiency. In the test phase, it is important to make full use of automatic test and parallel test tools

This paper takes the junior high school education administration system, human resource management system, student system and official website as the research object. Then the knowledge graph is used to study the multi-attribute teacher image. The system has intuitive material integration function, powerful interactive creation function, rich variable, function and program control function. The process line is used to connect each icon, which greatly improves the speed and quality of multimedia software development. The process of building the whole model is given in this paper. The image acquisition and analysis are completed. This paper extracts and generates feature entity and association information to generate portrait model. Finally, the design and implementation of the whole experiment are completed based on knowledge graph and Neo4j development environment. The joint recommendation method of knowledge graph based on multi-level structure is studied. The feature transformation matrix is removed during node updating in each level convolutional network, and its own connections are selectively maintained or removed. through the real teaching data set, the analysis and application of teachers' teaching portraits are completed. © 2024 IEEE.

The integration of Generative AI into the design Thinking process introduces new possibilities for UX/UI design, particularly in mobile app development. This study focuses on creating a fitness app prototype for next-generation users, with Generative AI acting as a co-creator across the Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test phases. Two sets of low-fidelity wireframes were developed: one by human UX/UI designers using Figma, and the other by AI using ***. These prototypes were evaluated through A/B testing, where users completed tasks on both designs, with their experiences measured using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and qualitative interviews. The findings compare human-designed and AI-generated prototypes, offering insights into their strengths and weaknesses. The study also introduces the AI-Driven User Experience (AID-UX) Framework, which outlines a structured method for integrating AI into UX/UI design, from data analysis to iterative testing. Results indicate that while AI-generated designs excel in creativity and efficiency, they lack the nuanced understanding required for human-centered design. This research highlights best practices for human-AI collaboration, emphasizing the balance between AI capabilities and human creativity. The study offers guidance for future AI-assisted design practices, promoting a collaborative approach that leverages both human and AI strengths. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, with the continuous advancement of chip manufacturing technology, modern chips have been shrinking in size while improving in performance, leading to an increase in power density. However, high power consumption can negatively impact chip performance and stability, making it one of the most critical challenges in chip manufacturing. This paper presented a model for digital IC power consumption. First, it investigated the causes of static power and provided a detailed derivation process for sub threshold leakage current. Secondly, the dynamic power was investigated through the analysis and modeling of factors contributing to short-circuit power consumption and switching power consumption. Based on the proposed models for both static and dynamic power, a novel optimization method was introduced that combined low-power technologies such as the Clock Gating and multi-channel collaboration technology across all five stages of chip design-from system level to physical level-aiming to reduce overall chip power consumption. Finally, through chip power simulations comparing pre-optimization results with post-optimization results, this paper validated the correctness and feasibility of the proposed chip power optimization strategy while offering strong support for subsequent chip design and application. © 2024 IEEE.

Complex global problems, such as sustainable crop production, where conventional products do not fully solve the problem due to their low efficacy and negative environmental impact, require rationally designed products. Generally, these products are based on efficient technologies and stimuli-responsive and high-performance materials. Considering the product design approach with a science-based approach such as drug development through QbD. We propose to merge the most relevant elements of these approaches in an integrated design methodology. Regarding the conceptual analysis, we propose two phases: initially, an early phase with conceptual solutions, followed by an advanced phase based on QbD elements to define the research hypothesis. Hence, optimal product conditions defined in the design space must comply with the required performance of the stimuli-responsive product. So, with this proposed integration we pretend to potentialize and strengthen the established tools for product design, achieving an advanced and robust design methodology. © The Author(s), 2023. This study investigates the simulation and modeling of a microfabricated antenna designed to operate within the millimeter-wave spectrum at a frequency of 60 GHz. The antenna configuration proposed in this work is simulated on a gallium arsenide substrate with a dielectric constant 12.9. A unique aspect of this design is incorporating an angled side wall with a 54-degree inclination from vertical., which is achieved through a simulated wet etching process. The compact antenna dimensions of 2.1 mm x 2 mm make it suitable for integration into miniaturized devices. The simulations were performed utilizing the High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) software, which is a computational electromagnetics tool for analyzing and designing complex RF and high-speed components. The antenna design employs an inset-fed technique to facilitate impedance matching and efficient power transfer. Additionally, a substrate removal technique was simulated to enhance the maximum gain. The simulation results demonstrate excellent performance, with the antenna attaining a maximum gain of 6.24 dBi, an exceptional return loss of -74.55 dB, and a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of 1, indicating near-perfect impedance matching. These simulated results highlight the potential of this micromachined antenna design for a range of applications within the millimeter-wave frequency band, such as high-speed wireless communications, radar systems, and imaging devices, subject to successful fabrication and real-world testing. © 2024 IEEE.

The integration and implementation of intelligent circuit system in Internet of Things (IoT) devices is one of the key technologies in the current digital era. With the continuous improvement of the intelligence of IoT equipment, intelligent circuit system, as its core component, undertakes the heavy responsibility of data acquisition, processing and transmission, and gives the equipment the ability of independent learning and decision-making. However, there are still many challenges to effectively integrate the intelligent circuit system into IoT devices and achieve efficient and stable operation. In this paper, the integration method and implementation technology of intelligent circuit system in IoT equipment are deeply discussed. In the aspect of hardware integration, the research emphasizes the importance of standardization and universal interface design, and how to reduce energy consumption through intelligent sleep technology and energy management strategy. Software integration involves selecting the appropriate operating system, communication protocol and data processing strategy to ensure that the intelligent circuit system can seamlessly interface with IoT devices and realize efficient data processing. In addition, the paper also discusses the selection and application of embedded system and microcontroller, as well as the selection and optimization of communication technology to meet the needs of different IoT devices. through case analysis, this paper shows the integration and realization process of intelligent circuit system in smart home system, including hardware selection, software development, application of communication technology and application of data analysis and processing technology. The analysis of performance, stability and security shows that the smart home system performs well in real-time control, data processing and personalized experience. Electric vehicles are popular in these days and gaining height in all country of the world because of the pollution due to fossil fuel and green house effect. The battery powered electric vehicle is going to popular in the crowd but also this segment is suffering from few problems like range anxiety, efficiency, fixed battery size, charging time, etc. The objective is to develop an efficient and reliable solution that allows EV owners to replace their depleted batteries quickly and easily with fully charged ones, eliminating the need for lengthy charging times. In a rapidly urbanizing tropical region such as Dhaka, Bangladesh, improving energy efficiency in office buildings while maintaining occupant comfort and well-being is a critical concern. The purpose of this research is to investigate a comprehensive strategy for optimizing dynamic façade performance by employing parametric design on an existing building façade and comparing the building performance in terms of improved daylighting and visual comfort. This research demonstrated simulation-based evaluation techniques in the tropical context of Dhaka to address an effective indoor environment. An administrative office block in Dhaka was chosen as the base case for the research at the outset. Parametric design in façades was introduced as a methodology using Rhino-Grasshopper 3D modeling to systematically explore various design iterations while considering multiple climatic variables and their interdependencies. This approach allowed for the integration of local climate data to inform the design process. To assess improved daylighting performance, the study utilized advanced building performance simulation tools, e.g., Ladybug and ClimateStudio. The simulation result showed the comparison of the point-in-time illuminance, daylight availability, annual glare and visual comfort of the base case and the optimized modified case that showed the influence of different design parameters on daylighting and visual comfort. By employing this strategy, architects and designers can make in-formed decisions to achieve sustainable and occupant-centric office building de-signs in tropical regions.
