This paper explores the integration of generative AI into UX design by focusing on developing a collaborative process that facilitates work between UX practitioners (UXers) and AI. It identifies critical barriers in UXer-AI collaboration, investigates the need for modifications in the collaboration process, and proposes a new process involving verification and decision-making stages. through a workshop with experienced UXers, this study examined their perspectives and challenges in working with AI. The findings emphasize the need to enhance the trustworthiness of generative AI's outputs and discuss various verification methods. This research contributes to bridging the gap between AI technology and practical UX design, paving the way for more effective and trustworthy collaboration.

In the process of seeking more efficient form factors for electronic devices that meet power, performance and latency requirements, heterogenous integration has risen to become one of the most promising areas to meet the demand of new products that meet very strict cost, performance, latency and power requirements. Whereas traditional board integration of different components meets cost requirements, it does not meet performance and/or latency requirements. In the same manner Systems-On-Chip (SOCs) may meet performance and form factor requirements but not cost. By increasing the complexity in which silicon dies are integrated together, it may be possible to deliver unique functionality at lower cost and faster time to market. As the manufacturing complexity increases, design flows must be updated to accommodate a large variety for techniques allowing wiring redistribution, 2.5D interposers, 3D stacking, Plasma dicing, and through Silicon vias (TSVs). In this work, we focus on the parallels between semiconductor processes and packaging processes, and outline a possible path to enhance heterogeneous packaging operations with techniques developed in semiconductor manufacturing.

Online learning activities provide opportunities to enhance learners engagement and active learning. However, designing effective online learning activities for adults is a critical issue. This study tackles challenges faced in adult online learning, such as limited information literacy, low engagement levels, an emphasis on knowledge transmission rather than skill development, and difficulties in reconstructing learning communities. By employing the classical Activity Theory, the study synthesized the published research from Web of Science (WoS) and CNKI to propose a model for designing adult online learning activities. This model outlines specific steps for the designprocess, implementing the Open University integration Platform (OUIP) and adhering to principles of activity theory. The most noticeable finding to extract from this study is that instructional design should consider the diverse needs of adult learners with well-organized and balanced activities to enhance their learning experience, driven by robust learning theories and human cognition principles.

This paper addresses the topic of designing medical interfaces as a scenario which fosters cross-disciplinary design dialogues. It demonstrates this through a case-study workshop where MA students conducted user research and proposed a re-design of an inhalation anesthesia device interface. It represents a tester of a new methodological canvas "Check" tool and how it was integrated into the established methods of UX/UI design. The paper shares pedagogical reflections as well as feedback from the design team on the process of analysis and design of user interfaces and on the characteristics of collaboration between designers and medical companies. Findings suggest that designers should be trained to research the unintended use of medical devices (the UX component), including the emotional component of interaction. "Check" tool can support them in doing so through differentiating rational and emotional components of interaction and structuring them according to principles of cognitive ergonomics. The paper also emphasizes the need to conveniently and comprehensively integrate medical standards into interaction analysis, while advocating for improved communication, formalization, and potential standardization of collaborations between designers and the healthcare industry.

Game-Based Learning Analytics (GBLA) is a method of integrating Game-Based Learning and Learning Analytics to enhance the effectiveness of the learning process in educational games by providing actionable learning analytics information to players within the game environment. This paper presents initial insights from an integrated designprocess to achieve this goal. through a series of interdisciplinary workshops culminating in a participant playtest session, this paper highlights the challenges and opportunities that arise from this integration. The findings point to the importance of early consideration of learning analytics in game design, the challenges of conceptualizing the differences between game feedback and learning feedback, and how learners interpret learning feedback within the context of the game. This work lays the groundwork for future research and development in the interaction between Game-Based Learning and Learning Analytics.
