Under the transformation background of the social function from "research centers" to "education centers", museums around the world try to take public education as an important function, provide public services to the society, and the participation of the people is also unprecedented. However, there is still no clear design process and method for the public education service of museums. They facing the problems of single activity form, insufficient audience attraction, and low age education content, there is still a certain degree of "emphasis on exhibition, light on education". This study introduces the flow theory, discusses, refines and expands the basic elements of the museum's public education services that facilitate the audience or users to obtain the flow experience, reorders and constructs the "Penta Model" of flow experience in museum's public education services. through exhibition planning, experience content, and educational games, the audience is promoted in the five flow stages of goal, challenge, integration, feedback and ability, and then gradually enter the flow status, so as to realize the purpose of the museum's immersive education service. Taking the service design of Duan Inkstone Art Exhibition inGuangdong Museum which named "Guanyan" as an example, the design verification of "Penta Model" of flow experience was carried out. through value proposition design, service system construction, exhibition journey planning and service touchpoints design (display of the exhibition, offline experience activities, online education games), the five flow status are organically integrated into each link, including the theme atmosphere and display method of the exhibition, process and interactive of viewing, in order to meet the audience's dual needs for knowledge and entertainment. The development of modern aviation industry urgently needs a large number of high-level flight simulation device (FSD) for multiple applications such as technologies research, aircraft test and pilot training. Traditionally, these FSD are manufactured by different TDM to meet individual requirement, which may encounter difficulty in correctness, integrity or fidelity. How to develop the FSD and its simulation packages for research, engineering and training scenarios with a more coordinated and efficient methodology is the key to the development of high-level FSD for one particular aircraft project. This paper proposes that FSD shall be classified, according to development process and control requirements into three categories, which are Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD), Flight Simulation Engineering Device (FSED) and Flight Simulation Research Device (FSRD). In particular, the simulation package provide the basis for the evolution of the multiple applications of the FSD. In this paper, the key design of FSD and simulation packages is given by proposing a technical strategy, which is based on system engineering (SE), with the development of FSED simulation packages as the central objective, and evolving and applying them to more mission such as research and training by validation and verification (v&v) of the requirement. This technical strategy shows major value (1) in optimizing correctness, integrity, and fidelity through process assurance, (2) in shortening the development cycle and reducing the cost by reducing duplication of efforts, (3) in reducing the technical risk of the simulation package, which is accompanied by aircraft and system design and development, and (4) in standardizing and eliminating of inconsistencies of the simulation modeling data, which is oriented from FSED with rigor configuration management. This research intends to promote the development of the domestic aircraft and the growth of the FSD-connected technology. © The Author(s) 2

In the SerDes transmitter system designed for 16Gb/s high-speed serial data transmissions, conventional FFE architectures exhibit insufficient flexibility across varying transmission environments, which hampers effective compensation for signal attenuation and distortion. This paper presents a design using a 28nm standard CMOS process that features a programmable tap coefficient FFE structure. This structure allows for dynamic adjustment of equalization coefficients through configuration registers in response to transmission channel variations, thereby enhancing compensation for signal attenuation and distortion. Furthermore, the integration of a variable gain amplifier(vGA) within the SerDes transmitter system facilitates targeted compensation for high-frequency signal components, effectively mitigating frequency-selective fading within the channel. Simulation results demonstrate that the SerDes transmitter circuit, incorporating this novel FFE structure and vGA module, maintains stable operation at a supply voltage of 0.9v and a transmission rate of 16Gb/s, while consuming 34mW of power. These results corroborate the design's efficacy and efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

This study presents the design of a device aimed at accurately determining the parameters of a photovoltaic (Pv) panel through the utilization of Silicon Carbide (SiC) power transistors. The incorporation of SiC power transistors into the device's design ensures improved efficiency, durability, and reliability during the parameter measurement process. The architectural layout and operational principles of the device are elaborated upon, emphasizing the integration of SiC power transistors to enable precise parameter determination of the Pv panel. Furthermore, the potential applications and advantages of this device within the field of solar energy are discussed. The proposed design holds great potential for advancing photovoltaic panel parameter determination techniques, ultimately contributing to the development of more efficient and sustainable photovoltaic systems. © 2023 IEEE.

Database design is a core topic in Computer Science (CS) curricula at the university level. Students often encounter difficulties and misconceptions while learning these concepts. Previous research attempted to address these learning difficulties through interactive visual demonstrations. However, most of these resources are not well integrated into the curriculum, and lack a proper educational evaluation. In this paper, we present a set of online interactive visualizations that we name DataBase visualizations (DBvs), that address common database design learning difficulties in an introductory undergraduate database course. Core database design concepts are visualized step-by-step, facilitating a deep understanding of relationship establishment and mapping onto a relational schema. DBvs could be easily embedded in an online eTextbook facilitating integration with the existing curriculum. We present our findings from an evaluation study of the effectiveness of DBvs when applied to a semester-long undergraduate database course in a large public institution in the middle east. Results indicate that intervention group students had significantly higher scores on a post-test offered as part of the final compared to control group students using primarily traditional textual content. Furthermore, intervention group students were surveyed at the end of the semester asking them about the value of DBvs to their learning process and suggestions for improvement. Survey results indicate that DBvs were clear, engaging, and easy to use. We believe that DBvs will be helpful to undergraduate database instructors in their teaching of basic database design concepts. © 2024 ACM.

This paper aims at demonstrating the relevance of a new design perimeter for power switching cells through a monolithic vertical integration approach on a multi-terminal power chip with Wide-Band Gap material such as 4H silicon carbide (SiC). Multi-terminal monolithic architectures making use quasi-only of vertical unipolar switch (vDMOS) and JBS diode architecture within the context of a 600v/10A full integration of switching cells on 4H-SiC chips are proposed and validated through Sentaurus (TM) 2D numerical simulations. The key method to etch and to fill the metallic via neededto connect the vDMOS and the JBS from top to back side of the SiC wafer is presented. The first optimization of the electroplating process resulted in a Ni metal layer of about 5 mu m thick.

Specifically designed modifications of the involute of gears can positively influence the excitation behavior and the load carrying capacity of the gear. The standard modifications are mathematically described by linear and quadratic functions. Modifications that can be described by functions of higher order are called topological modifications. Gears featuring topological modifications not only exhibit improved excitation behavior compared to gears with standard modifications, but also an improved load carrying capacity. Modifications are usually applied in the final manufacturing step, e.g. by generating grinding, profile grinding or hard skiving. A method for applying topological modifications to gear flanks using a kinematic adaptation of the gear skiving process is presented in this paper. For this purpose a converter was developed that enables a transfer of any kinematics to machine control in order to manufacture modifications using the gear skiving process. The skiving process involves the removal of material from the gear flanks using a cutting tool. By controlling the kinematic variables of the process, it is possible to selectively shape the gear flanks in a precise and controlled manner. This approach allows the design and manufacture of customized gear shapes that can improve the performance of the gear system. The effectiveness of the method developed in this work is demonstrated through the experimental application of topological modifications. © 2024 Elsevier B.v.. All rights reserved.

Within the Manufacturing Supply Chain planning domain, the integration of Digital Twins as a decision-making tool presents a promising development path. This research introduces a novel Supply Chain Digital Twin (SCDT) framework for manufacturing supply chains, specifically tailored to address the manufacturing strategy selection problem at the strategic product level. To demonstrate our proposed SCDT framework, we employ the Business process Model and Notation (BPMN) as a model-based systems engineering tool. The primary aim of this study is to detail the design and integration of SCDTs within manufacturing supply chain networks, facilitating decisions on manufacturing strategy selection. The practical applicability of our proposed SCDT framework is further demonstrated through a case study in the semiconductor industry, highlighting its utility and potential benefits. © 2024 IEEE.
