The increased demand of multimedia leads to shortage of network bandwidth and memory capacity. As a result, image compression is more significant for decreasing data redundancy, saving storage space and bandwidth. Along with the compression the next major challenge in this field is to safeguard the compressed data further from the spy which are commonly known as hackers. It is evident that the major increments in the fields like communication, wireless sensor network, data science, cloud computing and machine learning not only eases the operations of the related field but also increases the challenges as well. This paper proposes a worthy composition for image compression encryption based on unsupervised learning i.e. k-means clustering for compression with logistic chaotic map for encryption. The main advantage of the above combination is to address the problem of data storage and the security of the visual data as well. The algorithm reduces the size of the input image and also gives the larger key space for encryption. The validity of the algorithm is testified with the PSNR, MSE, SSIM and Correlation coefficient. © 2021 IEEE.

Compressive sensing and chaos based simultaneous compression-encryption of medical images is presented in this paper. A new chaotic map that is highly sensitive to its initial parameters and chaotic in wider range of its control value is proposed. Chaotic behavior of the proposed map is compared with that of the existing logistic map as well. The measurement matrix for compressively sensing the images is constructed based on this proposed map. Also, the initial parameter of the map is used as secret keys in designing the encryption algorithm. Various encryption results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed map and the compression- encryption scheme.

The conventional encryption methods are not appropriate for image cryptography as they contain large amount of data and the pixels have strong correlation. A new approach for chaotic encryption scheme for image is proposed through this paper. This image encryption algorithm is a modification of baptista's chaotic system. Analysis shows that the compression performance and encryption speed of the proposed system is much better.

A novel compression algorithm for weather radar data based on integer wavelet transforms and zerotree coding is presented, Considering the dependencies of the radar data, we give an efficient pre-processing of the data first. Then an advanced Embedded Zerotree Wavelet encoding algorithm is presented which uses context-based adaptive arithmetic coding to improve its performance. Experimental results show that the compression ratios are improved significantly both for lossless and lossy data compression.

In this paper, the advantages of discrete cosine transform and discrete wavelet transform have been harnessed by considering them together for compression, followed by an energy efficient Secured Force encryption technique. This was done in order to simultaneously compress and encrypt the image that has to be transmitted through Wireless Media Sensor Network (WMSN). The proposed technique provides better and faster compression as compared to the existing techniques. Results show that, there is an average increase of 4 % in compression with respect to DCT based compression and DWT based compression. Also, in the proposed approach, Chroma cr. matrix is used for quantization, which has reduced the total processing time by a huge amount as compared to the other quantization matrices.

In this paper one color image retrieval algorithm based on object regions is presented. First obtain each component image in the HSV space and then get the binary edge image of each component image. According to the connectedness of the edge images the object regions of the color image are extracted. During the image retrieval the sub image features corresponding to the object regions are used in the image similarity matching process in place of the global image features. Experiments show that the color image retrieval algorithm based on object regions is superior to that based on the global image.

In modern era, multimedia technologies have been developed significantly. Multimedia data such as audio, video and image transfers over the internet is open and insecure. Security is required for storage and transmission of digital images to avoid from unauthorized entities. A number of encryption schemes have been developed for security of multimedia data over insecure channel. So, there is a real need to compare encryption schemes that which technique is better for multimedia application. This paper presents the estimation for the good image encryption algorithm. Chaos based image encryption algorithm are used now a days because of better security and good performance. Behaviour of chaotic system is nonlinear, deterministic and sensitive to initial condition. A number of parameters, like correlation coefficient, information entropy, compression friendliness, number of pixels change rate, average intensity and unified average change intensity etc., are used to check the quality of cipher-text image. This work is review of two image encryption schemes, namely compression Friendly encryption Scheme (CFES) and Chaos Based encryption Scheme (CBES). © 2014 IEEE.

In this paper, a Improvement BiBlock Zero Tree compression Coding (IBBZTC) method with predictive binary scalar quantization, based on quadtree and BTC, is presented. A compression ratio formula is given, and the IBBZTC way is applied for video data compression. This method have characters of ZTC's high compression ration, real-time implementing simply, and have an advantage of higher coding/decoding speed, real-time transmission conveniently. The experimental results show that the total compression performance outperforms KLT+JPEG, WT+VQ, WT+ZTVQ and BBZTC compression methods without transmitting residue error. compression rate is 40 times, and PSNR is above 30dB.

A low memory embedded subband image coding algorithm based on the discrete cosine transform (DCT) with low complexity and high performance is presented in this paper. The zerotree-based coder SPIHT and the zeroblock-based coder SPECK have found more successful application in wavelet image compression, Xiong et al.'s EZDCT scheme also employs the zerotree structure and fulfills a DCT-based embedded zerotree quantizer with its performance outperforming the baseline JPEG and improved JPEG. We point out the zerotree structure of DCT is not efficient in embedded DCT coder. Without relying on the zerotree structure, we propose a more efficient embedded subband codec based on the zeroblock partitioning for the DCT image (ESDCT) with lower memory requirements and higher compression performance. A comparison reveals that the PSNR results of our ESDCT are 0.5-1.5 dB higher than those of EZDCT and the compression performance is slightly superior to SPIHT in some cases.

In the digital information age, digital content (audio, image, and video) can be easily copied, manipulated, and distributed. Copyright protection and content authentication of digital content has become an urgent problem to content owners and distributors. Digital watermarking has provided a valid solution to this problem. Based on its application scenario, most digital watermarking methods can be divided into two categories: robust watermarking and fragile watermarking. Here, we will concentrate on fragile watermarking of digital images, which is for image content authentication. Our fragile watermarking method is heavily based on the new image compression standard JPEG 2000. We choose a compressed bit stream from JPEG 2000 as the hash of an image, and embed the hash back to the image. The exceptional compression performance of JPEG 2000 solves the tradeoff between small hash size and high hash confidence level. In the authentication stage, the embedded compressed bit stream will be extracted. Then it will be compared with the compressed bit stream of the image to be authenticated. The authentication decision comes from the. comparison result. Besides content authentication, we will also show how to employ this watermarking method fur hiding one image into another.
