For real time applications to impose security, image is to be captured, compressed and encrypted in the camera itself. To resolve this issue, chaotic based image encryption is proposed while capturing the image. Experiments are made in NI Smart Camera and analysed with various measures to prove the efficacy of the proposed algorithm.

In this paper, we discuss a method for automatic programming of inspection imageprocessing. In the industrial field, automatic program generators or expert systems are expected to shorten a period required for developing a new appearance inspection system. So-called "imageprocessing expert system" have been studied for over the nearly 30 years. We are convinced of the need to adopt a new idea. Recently, a novel type of evolutionary algorithms, called genetic network programming (GNP), has been proposed. In this study, we use GNP as a method to create an inspection imageprocessing logic. GNP develops many directed graph structures, and shows excellent ability of formulating complex problems. We have converted this network program model to imageprocessing Network Programming (IPNP). IPNP selects an appropriate imageprocessing command based on some characteristics of input image data and processing log, and generates a visual inspection software with series of imageprocessing commands. It is verified from experiments that the proposed method is able to create some inspection imageprocessing programs. In the basic experiment with 200 test images, the success rate of detection of target region was 93.5%.

Edge detection and extraction is very important in imageprocessing and recognition whose algorithm directly affect the performance of the entire detection system. The ability of image denoising and the accuracy of edge detection are both required high, especially in the complex natural environment at sea. Most of image edge examination algorithms before have limitations and disadvantages of their own, so there is still room for improvement in this area. I'd like to put forward a sea-skyline detection algorithm and give simulation examples based on image filtering processing and gray image corrosion in the complex background of natural environment at sea, aiming at acquiring preferable ability of denoising and target extraction on the premise of ensuring the detection accuracy.

In order to cope with the severe path loss, millimeter-wave (mm-wave) systems exploit highly directional communication. As a consequence, even a slight beam misalignment between two communicating devices (for example, due to mobility) can generate a significant signal drop. This leads to frequent invocations of time-consuming mechanisms for beam re-alignment, which deteriorate system performance. In this paper, we propose smart beam training and tracking strategies for fast mm-wave link establishment and maintenance under node mobility. We leverage the ability of hybrid analog-digital transceivers to collect channel information from multiple spatial directions simultaneously and formulate a probabilistic optimization problem to model the temporal evolution of the mm-wave channel under mobility. In addition, we present for the first time a beam tracking algorithm that extracts information needed to update the steering directions directly from data packets, without the need for spatial scanning during the ongoing data transmission. Simulation results, obtained by a custom simulator based on ray tracing, demonstrate the ability of our beam training/tracking strategies to keep the communication rate only 10% below the optimal bound. Compared to the state of the art, our approach provides a 40% to 150% rate increase, yet requires lower complexity hardware.

Digital filters forms an important part of today's expanding field of Digital Signal processing (DSP). Among them the most used filter is Finite impulse response i.e. FIR filters. FIR filters are used extensively used for filtering of image, modulation of frequency, precision arithmetic and for various other purposes. Thus, various optimization methods are employed for the designing of optimal digital FIR filters. Use of various optimization techniques provides better results for different filter coefficients with respect to control parameter, dependence, premature convergence, etc. They have many pros like simple design implementation, minimized error function, superior search capability and fast convergence.
