This paper studies the problem of a fuzzy integral sliding mode control (SMC) with switching gains for fuzzy impulsive systems with parametric uncertainties and unknown nonlinearity. To parametric uncertainties and unknown nonlinearity of the controlled system, a new fuzzy integral-based SMC approach is introduced. Compared with the traditional fuzzy integral SMC method, the sliding surface (SS) designed for fuzzy impulsive systems incorporates an additional impulsive component, aimed at preserving the continuity of the SS. Based on the designed fuzzy integral sliding surface, a fuzzy integral SMC law with switching gains is proposed to guarantee the attainment of the sliding surface at any specified time, and its switching gains is used to save resources by considering the different switching instants of the closed-loop systems. Then, by using the Lyapunov function theory and developing a time-varying Lyapunov function, the sufficient conditions to ensure exponential stability of the closed-loop system are established. Additionally, to convert the resulting nonlinear matrix inequalities into linear ones, a design algorithm for determining the control gains is formulated, leveraging the derived stability conditions and applying the Schur complement. Finally, by using an inverted pendulum as a simulation case, the efficiency of the constructed fuzzy integral SMC approach is proved.

An ideal video super-resolution algorithm not only up-converts the resolution of the original image, but also performs corresponding processing on the color gamut, dynamic range, bit depth, etc. Therefore, keeping the prior information available will be essential, and this paper proposes the novel framework for super-resolution reconstruction of the equestrian videos considering compressed sensing algorithm. The wide application of video super-resolution algorithms and the substantial increase in the number of training videos will help to improve and improve the training model, hence, the system firstly conduct the modelling of down-sampling to understand the factors that influence the image quality. Then, the designed algorithm is discussed in detail, the proposed method combines the optimized wavelet analysis and optical flow method to achieve the better reconstruction performance. Through the comparison testing and select the factors of PSNR and SSIM, the accuracy is tested.

This paper presents a comprehensive literature review on sign language recognition and translation, focusing on recognition of sign language and translating it into understandable text and vice versa. Translating devices act as a medium between sign language users and non-sign language users for understanding each other. This field, despite its significant advancements and profound impact on enhancing communication accessibility, yet it is not widely popular and still out of reach. In this review, we have analyzed up to 31 research papers published between 2010 and 2023 on different platform, discussing the methodologies, techniques, technologies, and models which resulted in successful creation of sign language translation systems. In this review we analyzed the research papers which showed significant results, however we cannot declare these research papers used as perfect, as each had its own weakness and strength. With this in depth review we can understand the most used methods, techniques, and their significances.

K-means clustering is a popular unsupervised machine learning method widely used in various applications, such as data mining, image processing, and social sciences. However, clustering can be computationally expensive, especially when applied to large datasets. In this article, we explore the performance optimization of k-means clustering through GPU parallelization strategies using the CUDA framework. Due to a warp-centric approach, the proposed implementation is named warp-KMeans. We have compared warp-KMeans to other best-in-class GPU implementations of the k-means algorithm, including the top-tier NVIDIA RAPIDS, a widely used set of libraries for high-performance data analysis on GPUs. Throughout our experiments, we observed that warp-KMeans excels in all scenarios, achieving an acceleration of up to 8.4 compared to the NVIDIA RAPIDS algorithm, when the number of centroids is low, while also exhibiting good scalability and up to 2.94 speedup, concerning various other dataset sizes, higher dimensional points, and number of centroids.

The most important function of human vision is the recognition of edges, contours and textures of visible objects. By defining these elements, a person can perform higher-level visual information processing tasks, in particular, such as image segmentation, object detection and recognition. In the field of computer vision, this task is also of particular interest. In recent decades, various methods have been proposed to determine the characteristic boundaries of objects, allowing, in addition to highlighting edges and contours, to solve problems such as eliminating noise and distortion, restoring blurred and blurred images associated with scaling, highlighting individual borders of different objects in the image, restoring incomplete contours, etc. Currently, significant progress has been made in this direction, but the existing image processing algorithms are significantly inferior to the capabilities of the human visual system. Based on well-known methods for recognizing edges and contours of objects, the paper discusses current problems in this area and proposes a new method based on the neuromorphic encoding/decoding of images.

Distributed reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) provide rich macro-diversity coverage due to different locations of the RISs, which is beneficial to combat coverage holes. However, the system performance relies on the effective coordination of multiple RISs. Thus, the resource allocation scheme for distributed RIS-assisted multiuser system is a crucial challenge. To tackle these issues, joint power allocation, phase shifts and communication scheduling design for distributed RIS-assisted systems is investigated in this paper, where all RISs simultaneously and cooperatively serve multiple users. To overcome the formulated nonconvex maximization problem, the original maximization problem is decoupled into three subproblems and solved in an iterative manner. Numerical simulations are conducted to demonstrate that the considered solution outperforms the existing benchmark and achieves a near-optimal sum rate.

Color fundus (CF) image registration is crucial for accurate information fusion;it could obtain more details of retinal structure to assist clinical diagnosis. Existing methods suf-fer from costing time or dataset size, making CF image reg-istration still a challenging task. In this paper, we propose a novel pair-metamorphosis-decouple synthetic data scheme for learning-based CF image registration and ameliorate the registration model for retinal image. Specifically, we take ad-vantage of the pairing information of the registration task to decouple the differences between the pairing data and expand the representative ability of the dataset by synthesizing data. Furthermore, the registration framework is ameliorated ac-cording to the characteristics of the blood vessels in the retinal image. Experiments on the public dataset (FIRE) show that our synthetic data scheme could bring general performance promotion to registration models, and our registration method is superior to other state-of-the-art unsupervised algorithms. © 2022 IEEE.

Damage detection in electrical substations (ES) is vital to prevent breakdowns of devices. One of the main mechanisms of detecting failures and overloads in ES is the heat sources, which are concentrated in small areas with higher temperatures due to malfunctioning components or operating over from its current or voltage limits. Using drones equipped with a thermal camera is an exciting option to conduct technical inspections of ES to capture the zones with heat sources faster, safely, and efficiently. This paper proposes a practical and optimized procedure using thermal images based on open-source software and programming languages to detect and prevent malfunction or overload devices and then suggests a predictive maintenance system. A real ES is used as an example for testing and applying the proposal, and the results obtained from applying the digital image processing algorithms are provided to validate the proposed thermal image-detecting system. © 2022 IEEE.

Currently, the primary modes of human-computer interaction still revolve around traditional devices like mice and keyboards. Technologies such as face recognition, emotion recognition, voice recognition, and gesture recognition have gained increasing attention, making the ways of human-computer interaction more flexible and vivid. This paper mainly focuses on gesture recognition systems in natural scenarios. OpenCV provides various image processing algorithms that can capture image and video information from digital cameras and convert them into binary image information recognized by computers through grayscale image processing. Then, the binary images are filtered and segmented. After extracting the shape of the hand, the contour features of the hand are analyzed. In a normal natural environment captured by a camera, corresponding commands are extracted based on the position and shape of the gestures, enabling simple human-computer interaction.

This study provides a thorough evaluation of data deluges and how they will play a significant role in the development of future knowledge architectures. The suggested methodology is adaptable and interdisciplinary since it combines cutting-edge data mining, NLP, and network analysis methods. Data mining, NLP, network analysis, content analysis, big data analytics, cognitive mapping, SNA, MNA, QR, and iv are all compared to the proposed method, as are machine learning algorithms, qualitative research methods, and data visualization. Accuracy, relevance, depth of analysis, innovation, practical consequences, and clarity are only a few of the areas where the suggested technique shines. Its greater analytical skills are shown by its persistent outperformance of conventional approaches. Additionally, the suggested approach better accords with ethical norms and responsible research procedures, thus they are all considered as well. In summary, this study demonstrates the value of looking at information floods from several angles of study. The suggested technique not only provides cutting-edge analytic instruments for negotiating the intricacies of the digital information ecosystem, but also gives a forward-looking viewpoint by anticipating new patterns and developments. It demonstrates how crucial it is to use cutting-edge methods and evolve with the information age. © 2023 IEEE.
