In recent years, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for the development of agricultural and forestry applications has become popular. Given the importance of plants in both rural and urban environments, the extraction of information from data obtained by remote sensing is a highly relevant area of research. Such information is vital in urban and rural planning activities, the establishment of sustainable ecological niches, estimation of crop yields, the realization of forest inventories, the supervision of agricultural management systems, and some other agricultural applications. In this paper, we present a systematic review of the literature regarding the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in applications related to the detection of vegetation and plants inventory. Likewise, an analysis of the software used and the main computational and statistical techniques for the processing of images taken from unmanned aerial vehicles is made.

Single image de-raining is quite challenging due to the diversity of rain types and inhomogeneous distributions of rainwater. By means of dedicated models and constraints, existing methods perform well for specific rain type. However, their generalization capability is highly limited as well. In this paper, we propose a unified de-raining model by selectively fusing the clean background of the input rain image and the well restored regions occluded by various rains. This is achieved by our region adaptive coupled network (RACN), whose two branches integrate the features of each other in different layers to jointly generate the spatial-variant weight and restored image respectively. On the one hand, the weight branch could lead the restoration branch to focus on the regions with higher contributions for de-raining. On the other hand, the restoration branch could guide the weight branch to keep off the regions with over-/under-filtering risks. Extensive experiments show that our method outperforms many state-of-the-art de-raining algorithms on diverse rain types including the rain streak, raindrop and rain-mist.

Detection of brain tumor by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using (CAD) involves;preprocessing, segmentation, and morphological operation for analysis purpose. The magnetic resonance imaging segmentation is characterized by a high nonuniformity of both the pathology and the surrounding non-pathologic brain tissue. In civil area, expensive and noble sensors are not suitable to use for Detect-and-Avoid purpose. Low Cost, Size, Weight, and Power (C-SWaP) sensors as a detection sensors are should be used due to market's require. The demand of Low C-SWaP sensor is growing but the technology is not matured so far. The image-processing based robust aircraft detection algorithm is popular using neural network and the algorithm is applied in this research. The detected aircraft's flight state is estimated by Kalman Filter based on vision information to display collision risk. The concept of Distance at Closet Point of Approach (DCPA) is applied to keep DAA Well Clear (DWC). Overall, this paper shows whole process to implement DAA for non-cooperative aircraft using Low C-SWaP EO sensor. For this research, Conflict Prediction and Display System (CPDS) is applied to generate collision alerts and the CDPS is provided by General Atomics Aeronautical systems Inc. (GA-ASI).

Fatigue can harm people's physiology and psychology, and in serious cases it can even endanger people's lives. To meet the needs of real-time detection of human fatigue status, this paper designs and implements an online fatigue detection system which is capable of interactive fatigue status analysis. Based on AdaBoost framework and cascading technology, a classifier which is capable of identifying faces and eyes in video images at the same time is constructed, and the stable tracking of human eyes is realized by KLT algorithm. After extracting the features from the eye area, the eye opening and closing coefficient, or eye aspect ratio (EAR), is obtained. The k-means method is used to determine the thresh value of the eye opening and closing state to achieve the detection of blink frequency. Combined with nodding frequency and yawn frequency, the state of human fatigue is determined. The experimental results of different subjects in different scenarios show that the detection accuracy of this system can reach up to 95%.
