In view of traditional image improvement technology's limitations in high real-time application environments, a new low-light video image improvement algorithm is proposed in this article. In consideration of traditional improvement algorithms' faults, and under the precondition of studying low-light improvement techniques in image signal processing (ISP) systems, deep learning frameworks are introduced to break through complex structure and long processing pipeline faults in traditional ISP systems. In this article, a lightweight image brightness improvement algorithm with a basis in convolutional neural network (CNN) is proposed. In this algorithm, feature extraction of RGB images is performed through CNN to generate a brightness coefficient matrix, simplifying RGB to RGB direct mapping and reducing model numbers, model parameters, and computational complexity. This technology pays attention to generating coefficients of brightness, can effectively extract changing parts of brightness, maintain detail information, and conduct efficient and natural brightness improvement, and can apply to high real-time application environments such as autonomous driving.

Kernel regression method is one of the non-parametric nonlinear regression estimation methods. The univariate regression function is estimated by one-dimensional kernel function. Based on Taylor expansion, the value of regression coefficient is obtained by optimization method. Using the same method, two-dimensional kernel regression is studied. Finally, the adaptive control kernel is summarized. On the basis of the non-parametric estimation kernel regression model, the two-dimensional kernel regression function is extended to three-dimensional and each pixel in the video sequence is represented as a three-dimensional Taylor expansion. The displayed coefficients are obtained by the locally weighted least squares method, and the weights of the kernel regression are used to capture the spatiotemporal local motion information, avoiding the explicit sub-pixel precision motion estimation. Experiments in the standard test video database show that the algorithm has better reconstruction effect and larger scope of application, and can be used for videos with local and complex motion. The 3D-SKR super-resolution reconstruction algorithm solves the sub-pixel accuracy registration problem of the previous super-resolution reconstruction algorithms and extends the application range of sequence image super-resolution reconstruction to any sequence image, which is of great significance. The new algorithm framework proposed in this paper improves the robustness of the original algorithm and eliminates the influence of outliers on the reconstruction results. The algorithm proposed in this paper can adaptively capture the structural information of the image, has a good suppression effect on noise, and can effectively eliminate the artifacts caused by inaccurate motion estimation. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Internet of Things (IoT) Wearable technology plays a crucial role in assisting the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (PD), and an efficient model for auxiliary diagnosis of the severity of PD can help reduce the workload for doctors. However, due to the influence of data collection environments and annotators, noisy label data is inevitable, which may have a negative impact on modeling the severity of PD. To address the above challenges, on the one hand, we collected a large number of activity signal data of Parkinson's patients in free-living environments, and on the other hand, we proposed an efficient PD stage assessment framework, which includes a noisy label processing method to alleviate the noisy label negative impact. Specifically, we collected signal data from 15 healthy controls and 68 PD patients through 12 activities, and then we proposed a framework for noisy label detection and correction. The experimental results on real PD data sets demonstrated that the proposed framework achieve 75.9% accuracy in PD stage assessment and significantly improve the classification performance of different types of basic classifiers, which is better than other noisy label detection algorithms and other PD stage assessment frameworks. Overall, in this work, we focus on modeling PD severity in free-living environments using a single wearable sensor and reducing the negative impact of noisy label data to better help PD patients manage the disease. © 2023 IEEE.

Fashion image classification is an emerging field of research. Examples of numerous e-commerce applications that rely on fashion image classification include recommendation systems, retrieval systems, and apparel recognition tasks. The extensive variety of clothing attributes, including designs, textures, and colours, and the high degree of clothing categorization present formidable challenges to the classification of clothing images. In this paper, a new algorithm called Most Confident Labelled Output (MCLO) algorithm has been proposed. Later, widely used optimization techniques in CNN models like SGD, Adam, AdaGrad and RMSProp are added for classifying the fashion images. Among the CNN optimizers, AdaGrad model achieved better accuracy as well as loss gets decreased. The proposed work was carried on benchmarking Fashion MNIST dataset The MCLO algorithm has been coded using tensorflow with graphics processing unit (GPU). The outcomes demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms state-of-the-art models, as assessed through the Fashion MNIST dataset benchmarks.

L Color cast, an aberration common in digital images, poses challenges in various image processing applications, affecting image quality and visual perception. This research investigates diverse methodologies for color cast correction, ranging from traditional algorithms to modern machine learning-based approaches. Leveraging a comprehensive dataset of original and corrected images, the present study evaluates the efficacy of each method using quantitative metrics, including ACMO, BREN, GRAS, LAPM, LAPV, LAPD, and WAVV. Results indicate that while traditional techniques like Gray World Algorithm and White Patch Retinex Algorithm demonstrate moderate effectiveness, the implemented machine learning-based algorithm showcases superior performance across multiple color cast levels. By employing linear regression on RGB values, the method efficiently corrects color cast aberrations, yielding visually appealing and perceptually accurate results. Furthermore, the research highlights the significance of robust color constancy algorithms and their role in mitigating color cast distortions in digital images. This study contributes valuable insights into the field of color cast correction, offering practitioners in image processing and computer vision a comprehensive understanding of effective correction strategies. Future research directions may explore advanced machine learning models and integration with color constancy mechanisms to further enhance color cast correction techniques.

Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is a necessary and widely used algorithm in frequency-domain image processing, and the iterative calculation of 2D FFTs and iFFTs (inverse Fast Fourier Transform) is commonly applied. The general sequence of the global calculations often implies reiterative processes of data loading and storing. On the other hand, the detection-in-frequency split-radix 2-4 FFT has advantages in terms of resources and latency, compared to the radix-2 or the radix-4 schemes. In this way, a hardware architecture for frequency-domain image processing is proposed here, where a split-radix 2-4 multi-path delay commutation architecture (MDC) FFT structure with four parallel inputs and outputs is designed to achieve $100 \%$ resource utilization. In addition, a dynamic ping-pong switching between the FFT and the iFFT is designed to implement a non-stalled stream on calculation by means of a feedback path without reloading data. Furthermore, as for the conjugate symmetry of the transfer function, the processing order of the image is designed to reduce the number of calculations or data loading. Comparing with other architectures, the proposed one requires less buffers, complex multiplications and complex additions, whereas it also provides a low latency and a wide range of sequence lengths. In this way, in a frequency-time domain processing for an image, only 2 loads and 2 stores are required per iteration because of the dynamic ping-pong switching.

In the era of information explosion, recommender systems have been widely used to reduce information load nowadays. However, mainly traditional recommendation techniques only paid attention on improving recommendation accuracy without considering additional criteria such as diversity, novelty. Moreover, such traditional recommendation algorithms were also struggled with matthew effect, that is, the gap between the popularity of popular and non-popular items grows. Therefore, a multi-objective recommendation model with extreme individual guided and mutation adaptation based on multi-objective evolutionary algorithms (MOEA-EIMA) is proposed in this paper. It maximizes two conflicting performance metrics termed as precision and novelty. In MOEA-EIMA, the iteration of population is guided by extreme individuals, and the adaptive mutation operator is designed for saving the better individuals. The algorithm is tested in several sparse datasets. The experiment results demonstrate the proposed algorithm can achieve a good trade-off between accuracy and novelty. © 2022, IFIP International Federation for Information processing.

Clutter Suppression Interference (CSI) is a common radar signal processing method, which efficiently suppresses ground clutter interference in radar received echoes and can greatly improve the signal-to-noise ratio of airborne synthetic aperture radar ground motion target indication (SAR/GMTI). However, the implementation of the clutter suppression algorithm in engineering is difficult because of the large number of filtering power coefficients to be calculated in real time. Based on this research background, this paper models the ground clutter of airborne radar, analyzes the principles and performance of three clutter suppression algorithms, CSI, ACSI and median cancellation ACSI, and performs engineering implementation. From the engineering experimental results, it can be seen that all three algorithms can improve the airborne radar signal-to-noise ratio and thus improve the recognition capability of moving targets, among which the median pair cancellation ACSI algorithm has the lowest false alarm probability and the greatest performance improvement.

The quality of ingots greatly affects the yield and performance of aluminum alloy products and is closely related to the process parameters. This work proposes a data-driven method to predict the quality of ingots. The original data are collected from a practical process of an aluminum alloy production system. To improve data quality, some data preprocessing steps, including prior feature processing, missing value processing, and outlier processing, are performed. Then, XGBoost and other classification methods are used to establish the data model revealing the relationship between the process parameters and the quality of an ingot. Finally, a genetic algorithm is designed to optimize the feature selection process. The experimental results show that the proposed method has good performance and can predict the quality of the ingot well based on the optimized process features. © 2022 IEEE.

Visual SLAM technology uses visual cameras as the primary sensors to create environmental maps while performing self localization. SLAM technology can achieve autonomous positioning, path planning, obstacle avoidance, and other functions through the creation of maps. SLAM technology has shown good performance in indoor positioning, but unknown indoor environments often have problems such as weak lighting. This article provides an overall introduction to the process of visual SLAM systems and the technology of perceiving dark environments, and analyzes future development trends.
