The Vehicular Ad-Hoc network (VANET) is a vital component of the internet of Things and smart buildings since it connects millions of autos to improve traffic efficiency. A VANET's peers (mostly automobiles) connect with one another by exchanging, informations on road and circumstances, improving passenger and street safety, and routing traffic through congested areas. Because VANET is so sensitive, it's critical to keep a safe, secure, and attack-free environment that allows for uninterrupted data transmission. However, in this paper, we employ blockchain and software defined networks (SDN) to more effectively and efficiently administer and control VANETs. It helps to lessen the strain on the controller by distributing management work between the blockchain and the SDN due to the ubiquitous processing that occurs. We have evaluated our model with some of deep learning models such as LSTM, DenseNet169, VGG16 and 3D-CNN under performance measures Accuracy, Specificity, Detection Rate, Sensitivity and mostly Security in which our model gives higher satisfaction in terms of accuracy and security.

Although demand has been increasing for accurate remote motion control of IoT devices, jitter can negatively impact control performance. Jitter buffering has been studied as a solution, but it is necessary to obtain delay values in real-time. In this study, we propose an architecture that uses collected network information to realize jitter buffering suitable for user-managed IoT device control applications in the All-Photonics network. The architecture collects end-to-end delay values in real-time, implements jitter buffer based on the obtained values, and performs more detailed delay compensation control based on fixed delay values. This allows network conditions, which are normally out of user's control, to optimize the user's IoT device control application. We construct a basic motor-based experimental system around an FPGA and verify the effectiveness of the proposed architecture. An experiment shows that the proposed architecture holds jitter to any practical set value and achieves successful motor control within 0.62 s, whereas it cannot be controlled when there is no jitter buffer.

In modern high-speed networks, providing reliable and high-quality internet services is essential. However, maintaining consistent network performance in dynamic environments with varying scenarios presents significant challenges. To address these, Multipath TCP (Transmission control Protocol) offers a viable solution by aggregating multiple network paths, resulting in improved bandwidth utilization, higher throughput, and reduced delay. This approach overcomes the limitations of traditional single-path TCP by enhancing responsiveness, friendliness, and reducing window oscillation. Moreover, MPTCP incorporates congestion control mechanisms that couple several subflows, ensuring efficient traffic distribution across multiple paths, thereby improving overall network performance and fairness. In this paper, we analyze the performance of LIA (Linked Increases Algorithm), OLIA (Opportunistic Linked Increases Algorithm), and BALIA (Balanced Linked Adaptation) congestion control algorithms using the ns-3 network simulator. The results show that BALIA achieves 21% higher throughput compared to LIA.

The power router (PR) for the low-voltage distribution network is the core equipment of energy internet (EI). As the connector between the power grid and DC bus of PR, the performance of the rectifier on the grid side and DC side will directly affect the PR. The traditional linear control strategy will deteriorate system performance in terms of the rectifier. Therefore, taking the three-level T-type rectifier (3LT(2)R) as the object, this paper proposes a double loop nonlinear control strategy. The inner current loop is a simplified deadbeat predictive control strategy based on improved space vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM). The inner loop is designed to improve the dynamic performance of the grid side of the system and reduce the computational burden of the controller by changing the coordinate system of vector synthesis. And the outer voltage loop is a variable exponent sliding mode controller (SMC) based on an integral sliding mode surface. It is designed to ensure the robustness of the DC side of the 3LT(2)R and to weaken the chattering of SMC. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

The rapid expansion of internet of Things (IoT) devices has resulted in significant progress and developments in various sectors, such as smart healthcare, self-driving vehicles, smart banking, smart home, Industry 4.0, etc. Traditional centralised access control methods are inadequate to deploy in decentralised IoT networks. Although the existing Blockchain-based access control approaches provide a better way of managing access permission for IoT systems, they are ineffective in addressing critical security gaps and preventing unauthorised access while detecting malicious anomalies. To address these two challenges in a single platform, in this paper, we propose a novel approach towards a deep-learning-based authorisation solution that is deployed within the Hyperledger-Fabric (HLF) private Blockchain. Our approach allows smart-contract to define attribute-based access control policies augmented with the Artificial Neural network (ANN) model, which can effectively identify and isolate malicious anomalies and prevent unauthorised access from malicious devices. We run experiments to evaluate our platform in terms of security and performance, and our results show positive indicators essential for addressing security issues in decentralised IoT networks. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, the internet of things (IoT) paradigm has proliferated all aspect of life. The improvements IoT has made in business and industry has raised the possibility of extending its use to underwater environments, which also impacts human life. Consequently, internet of Underwater Things (IoUT) research is intensifying. As in IoT, to deploy a successful application in IoUT, an optimal communication network is required. However, underwater environments pose unique technical challenges for setting up such networks. The aim of these networks is to achieve optimal performance required for efficient and reliable transmission within IoUT. Communication is the lifeline of a network and involves the transmission of information along a medium or path. Thus, it is critical to understand the impact of underwater environment on IoUT communication. Overall, IoUT communication uti-lizes underwater and terrestrial equipment. We focus on underwater communication where the medium is water and information is transmitted as acoustic/sound signals. With respect to physical, Medium Access control (MAC) and network layers, we investigate issues associated with designing optimal IoUT networks. The un-derwater ecosystem varies spatially with time so, knowledge of prevailing underwater regional profiles at any time is essential. Profiles enable the construction of necessary constraints that affect optimized performance of IoUT networks. We analyze the constraints imposed by different regional profiles of underwater ecosystem and their impact on optimal IoUT communication. These constraints affect performance goals required for successful IoUT network deployment. The analysis is useful for developing state-of-the-art IoUT communication strategies based on stochastic optimization models.

This paper presents the design of a 4x4 Blass matrix for enabling beamforming operations in a four-element uniform linear antenna array (ULAA) operating at 3.5 GHz, corresponding to the first frequency band reserved for the forthcoming fifth and sixth generation (5G/6G) systems. To obtain a simple and inexpensive device, the proposed feeding network, which provides to the ULAA beam pointing capabilities towards four different directions, is entirely implemented using printed circuit board technology. The design procedure is realized adopting an extended iterative mathematical framework accounting for losses control and providing the pointing angles and the matrix coefficients. The performance of the conceived architecture is numerically investigated through full-wave simulations. The versatility, low losses, and low price of the developed microstrip network makes it suitable for both 5G/6G air/terrestrial femtocell base stations and internet of Things (IoT) cluster-head sensors/actuators.

The 5th Generation mobile system was featured as ultra-reliable and low-latency communications, which could support applications for industrial verticals. However, as to industrial control scenarios, it was necessary to ensure the deterministic data transmission. Therefore, 5G Rel.16 proposed Time-Sensitive network technology integrating with the cellular mobile system to enhance the deterministic transmission capability of 5G networks. In the cooperation architecture of 5G and Time-Sensitive network, the 5G system should enhance the capabilities of both the core network and access network to fulfill the cross-network transmission of time-sensitive services. As to the demands of cross 5G and TSN transmission, this paper built simulation environments for 5G-TSN cross-network transmission based on OMNeT++, which was aiming to verify the performance on latency, and throughputs of common-used scheduling algorithms of 5G systems such as proportional fairness, maximum C/I, and earliest deadline first in multi-service scenarios, as well as to verify adaption ability of scheduling to time-sensitive services in 5G system. The simulation results demonstrate that the proportional fairness algorithm can guarantee both the time delay performance of time-sensitive services and the system throughputs, and it becomes a potential scheduling algorithm for 5G-TSN cooperative transmission. © 2023 IEEE.

This position paper introduces a Dynamic Data Driven Open Radio Access network System (3D-O-RAN). The key objective of 3D-O-RAN is to support congested, contested and contaminated tactical settings where multimedia sensors, application constraints and operating wireless conditions may frequently change over space, time and frequency. 3D-O-RAN is compliant with the O-RAN specification for beyond 5G cellular systems to reduce costs and guarantee interoperability among vendors. Moreover, 3D-O-RAN integrates computational, sensing, and cellular networking components in a highly-dynamic, feedbackbased, data-driven control loop. Specifically, 3D-O-RAN is designed to incorporate heterogeneous data into the network control loop to achieve a system-wide optimal operating point. Moreover, 3D-O-RAN steers the multimedia sensor measurement process in real time according to the required application needs and current physical and/or environmental constraints. 3D-O-RAN uses (i) a semantic slicing engine, which takes into account the semantic of the application to optimally compress the multimedia stream without losing in classification accuracy;(ii) a dynamic data driven neural network certification system that translates mission-level constraints into technical-level constraints on neural network latency/accuracy, and occupation of hardware/software resources. Realistic use-case scenarios of 3D-O-RAN in a tactical context demonstrate system performance.
