Recommender systems strongly affect a company's profitability and regularly play a significant role in the success of companies' sales policies. Companies are now collecting vast amounts of user information to make sure they can use recommender systems and related algorithms for recommending products and services according to customer needs, preferences, and likenesses. Unfortunately, privacy concerns prevent users from sharing data generously with interested companies, even if the quality of the recommendations would be improved. One way to overcome privacy-related issues is using a secured solution, such as blockchain technologies for privacy-based applications. Integrating blockchain technology and the internet of Things creates modern decentralized systems. The integration gives scalability and security to recommender systems. This research calls for innovative and advanced research on Blockchain and recommendation systems. We constructed a blockchain-based recommender system using "the Movielens" dataset. Learning case studies include a model to recommend movies to users. The accuracy of models is evaluated by an incentive mechanism that offers a fully trust-based recommendation system with acceptable performance.

This paper proposes the use of Random Linear network Coding (RLNC) as an erasure code in the forward error correction (FEC) mechanism for internet telephony. It also designs and implements a forward error correction algorithm applied to the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), which we call Adaptive Systematic RLNC (AS-RLNC). The algorithm learns the current packet loss rate of the network through the Real-time Transport control Protocol (RTCP) and dynamically adjusts the number of redundant packets sent. Compared with traditional forward error correction methods based on block codes, this approach can enhance the reliability of data transmission and improve audio quality by 31%.

The Industrial internet needs to deal with the data transmission tasks of large-traffic mobile bandwidth and ultra-low *** Frequency Division Multiplexing/Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (OFDM/OQAM) passive optical network (PON) systems are affected by inherent imaginary interference (IMI), part of which is generated by the chromatic dispersion (CD) of optical fiber systems. Another part is produced by polarization mode dispersion (PMD). This paper proposes a channel estimation (CE) algorithm based on compressed sensing (CS), where the signal exhibits sparsity through sparse representation, and the signal reconstruction algorithm of compressed sensing adopts the orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm (OMP). The channel transfer function (TF) can effectively reduce the IMI and make the signal accuracy of the receiving end higher. Simulation results show that CS-CE algorithm can improve the system performance, which is better than the traditional LS method. Compared to existing LS methods, the CS algorithm can accomplish a 20% improvement. The algorithm can reduce the bit error rate of the system and improve the reliability of the system.

Reactive power compensation is an important measure to improve the power quality of distribution networks, especially with the increasing connection of distribution transformers, heavy industrial electrical equipment, and asynchronous motors, which generate a large amount of reactive power demand. Traditional reactive power compensation devices, such as fixed capacitors (FC) and thyristor switched capacitors (TSC), have some drawbacks, such as low response speed, harmonic generation, and switching shock. A static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) is a flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) device that can provide fast and continuous reactive power compensation, but it also has some limitations, such as high cost, large capacity requirement, and low utilization rate. Therefore, hybrid reactive power compensation systems that combine FC or TSC with STATCOM have attracted much attention in recent years. Many researchers have proposed and studied different topologies and control methods of hybrid systems to overcome the disadvantages of single devices and achieve better performance. However, most of the existing hybrid systems are designed for low or medium-voltage distribution networks, and their performance under high-voltage distribution networks is still unclear. Moreover, the coordination control strategy of the hybrid system and its subsystems is also a key issue that affects the effectiveness and efficiency of reactive power compensation. In view of this, this paper aims to propose a TSC+STATCOM hybrid reactive power compensation system for high-voltage distribution networks, which optimizes the shortcomings of traditional reactive power compensation devices.
