This paper presents a novel approach to generating high-quality 3D models using a 3D generative adversarial network (GAN) architecture with differentiable SDF-based rendering techniques. The system utilizes a hybrid representation model comprising tri-planes and a tiny MLP, which allows for the generation of detailed features and efficient training under the supervision of low-resolution 2D images. Additionally, depth map supervision is introduced during the training phase to enhance convergence and improve shape generation and image synthesis. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach outperforms existing state-of-the-art 3D generative models in terms of geometry quality and texture performance. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The Industrial internet of Things (IIoT) refers to the use of interconnected smart devices, sensors, and other technologies to create a network of intelligent systems that can monitor and manage industrial processes. 6TiSCH (IPv6 over the Time Slotted Channel Hopping mode of IEEE 802.15.4e) as an enabling technology facilitates low-power and low-latency communication between IoT devices in industrial environments. The Routing Protocol for Low power and lossy networks (RPL), which is used as the de-facto routing protocol for 6TiSCH networks is observed to suffer from several limitations, especially during congestion in the network. Therefore, there is an immediate need for some modifications to the RPL to deal with this problem. Under traffic load which keeps on changing continuously at different instants of time, the proposed mechanism aims at finding the appropriate parent for a node that can forward the packet to the destination through the least congested path with minimal packet loss. This facilitates congestion management under dynamic traffic loads. For this, a new metric for routing using the concept of exponential weighting has been proposed, which takes the number of packets present in the queue of the node into account when choosing the parent at a particular instance of time. Additionally, the paper proposes a parent selection and swapping mechanism for congested networks. performance evaluations are carried out in order to validate the proposed work. The results show an improvement in the performance of RPL under heavy and dynamic traffic loads.

Environmental phenomena affect our everyday life greatly. This included flexible structures the resources of life, including the pure water and air of our planet. The word climate is characterized as a platform that provides numerous facilities for several atmospheric applications in the areas of water allocation, poor air quality, meteorological conditions, radioactive detection, wastewater treatment, catastrophic event as well as many other predisposing factors. Monitoring system, modeling and management provide a better knowledge of key development and environmental changing management methods. Over time, the problem of emissions has increased owing to a number of reasons, such as increasing population and usage of cars, urban development, which has a significant impact on workers' health. This article proposes AI and IoT for the predictions and modeling of the environmental quality assessment system. The Artificial Intelligence method can evaluate data extremely efficiently and take accurate choices on services in many kinds. The IoT gateway includes the entire application software from sensor level to environmental information systems. The test data suggest that the new approach offers an efficient means of analyzing environmental information over a lengthy period of time.

The introduction of the next generations' mobile communications, 5 G -Advance and 6G (5G-A/6G), promises boosting data throughput to new dimensions, achieving submillisecond latency, and providing wider coverage. Based on this promise, a great number of previously infeasible high-throughput, real-time, and IoT-based applications, such as high-resolution face recognition and extended reality, are being developed for deployment over 5G-A/6G networks. Such demanding applications assume that ample bandwidth will be available through the utilization of a high-frequency spectrum. However, at high frequencies, radio channels are susceptible to sudden changes in the surrounding conditions, generating highly fluctuating scenarios that directly impact the performance of upperlayer protocols and services. For applications that operate under end-to-end congestion control algorithm (CCA) (e.g., TCP- and QUIC-based applications), extreme fluctuations may generate unwanted behaviors that hurt the throughput and possibly favor non-CCA traffic with unfair results in bandwidth distribution. This paper thoroughly investigates the impact of fluctuating radio access channels on 5G-A/6G networks. We analyze the performance of various congestion control algorithms, including CUBIC, High-Speed, and BBR, as well as non-CCA traffic, under such conditions. Our evaluation, conducted through realistic simulations, examines the network's ability to maintain desired service levels amidst fluctuations. Furthermore, we explore the potential of state-of-the-art active queue management and buffer management policies at the gNB to mitigate the negative effects of these fluctuations and enhance overall network performance. © 2024 IEEE.

The internet of Things (IoT) enabled photoplethysmogram (PPG) monitoring devices have gained more attention for understanding the initial health status, remotely monitoring health parameters over time, and getting valuable clinical information anytime, anywhere. Continuous transmission of PPG data wirelessly consumes a significant amount of energy, which is one of the constraints of battery-operated IoT devices. In this paper, we present a lightweight quality-aware waveform change detection (QA-WCD) method for enabling event-triggered communication protocol that can maximize the lifetime of connected devices. The QA-WCD method consists of preprocessing, Fourier transform (FT) based noise suppression and pulse rate (PR) estimation, onset-peak detection using derivative PPG (dPPG), and waveform change detection with five decision rules. On three standard databases, the proposed QA-WCD method achieves promising results in detecting waveform changes segment-wise and cycle-wise using the proposed PPG parameters. Evaluation results show that the method had a sensitivity and specificity of 100% in detecting cycle changes (CCs) and no cycle changes (NoCCs), respectively for the PPG signals with less prominent diastolic wave portions. The QA-WCD based data transmission protocol can increase the service lifetime of IoT devices and reduce network/server traffic in remote personal health monitoring with huge IoT devices connected with health service providers.

Environmental pollution is becoming more and more serious, and timely and accurate air quality prediction can effectively prevent pollutant hazards. This paper establishes the communication between WSN through the improved LEACH protocol, and the control parameter strategy and iterative update strategy of the improved PSOWGO algorithm are used to optimize the initial parameters of the neural network, improve the performance of global search in the early stage and local search in the later stage, efficiently extract the characteristics of pollutants in the environment, and complete data fusion at the cluster head node, so as to achieve timely and effective prediction. Compared with the baseline algorithm, it has better prediction accuracy and faster convergence speed and can effectively extend the network's life. © 2023 IEEE.

Cloud robotics and Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) applications are revolutionizing the field of rehabilitation and e-Health by enabling remote operation of assistive devices without interruption. This work presents a cloud-based BCI system designed to train individuals to control a wheelchair using brain signals. The work focuses on evaluating the quality of Service (QoS) for the cloud-based BCI by studying the impact of communication parameters, Message Loss Rate (MLR), latency, and jitter, on system performance. The results show that a higher MLR significantly reduces Accuracy (ACC) and Information Transfer Rate (ITR) while increasing CPU and RAM usage. Latency also negatively affects ACC and ITR, with a slight increase in resource consumption, whereas jitter has minimal impact on these metrics. The proposed system demonstrates the importance of cloud robotics in providing continuous support and monitoring, significantly improving rehabilitation and independence for individuals with severe motor impairments. This research is crucial for developing efficient and user-friendly BCI systems for e-Health and cloud robotics applications.

Online videoconferencing applications have become more popular and occupy a significant portion of consumer internet traffic. Thus, it is crucial to assess the quality of Experience (QoE) for these applications to effectively implementing high-quality services. Although the major approach to assess the QoE is the conduction of a subjective quality assessment, this method relies on user's feedback and it is not suitable for real-time management systems. For this reason, in this paper, we propose alternative QoE estimation models based on facial expression features extracted from the face of the users during audiovisual conversations with a WebRTC-based telemeeting service. We first conducted a subjective quality assessment to investigate the QoE of two-party audiovisual conversations impaired by poor network conditions. Then, we used the extracted facial expression features obtained by observing the test participants to train Machine Learning (ML) algorithms and a Fully Convolutional network (FCN) with the aim to estimate the perceived QoE solely on the base of these features. Finally, we discuss and compare the QoE estimation performance of the proposed models in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. In particular, the ML model (Support Vector Machine) and the FCN achieved the mean estimation accuracy of 0.78 and 0.70, respectively.

VoIP is a revolutionary technology for transmission of voice over internet protocol than from plain telephony systems. But current VoIP solutions have some important issues which are packet loss, latency, and jitter especially when the network is in motion. This work outlines the design, implementation and performance of a locally developed VoIP system which includes a SIP Server Node, Sender Node and a Receiver Node. The SIP Server Node was designed nearly from the ground up to handle session initiation, packet forwarding, and adaptive QoS control. Both Sender and Receiver Nodes had facilities to record, compress and playback audio. The system's performance was evaluated in a LAN environment, achieving significant improvements in quality of Service (QoS) metrics: achieving low latency under 150 ms, 95 % packet recovery and achieving a good audio quality with the MOS of 4.2. Evaluating the obtained results, it can be concluded that the proposed system is efficient in handling the issues of the packet-switched network and providing high-quality real time voice communication.
