The optimization of performance in SMEs networks becomes an important challenge in a globalization context. The dynamism of the market and the uncertainty of the demand force the enterprises to reconcile efficiency and flexibility. It has been proven that dynamic cellular manufacturing systems allow to attain both objectives. However, no bridge has been built between enterprise networks and the use of DCMS. A literature review allowed to highlight the inherent elements of the two concepts and to draw a conclusion on their complementarity. The main objective of this study was to determine the effects of the use of DCMS and product modular design on the networkperformance, using a design of experiments (DOE) and a discrete event simulation. A real case study was conducted to validate the model. The results show that, in a turbulent environment, standardization via the use of a product modular structure and a Kanban system may lead to a successful implementation of DCMS. Multidisciplinary: employees and a high suppliers' reliability were also important in ensuring the optimization of the total production, WIP, lead time (Makspan). and delay. The case-study demonstrated that improvement projects such as 5S. improvement of quality and planning system and training and involvement of sales and engineering departments led to the successful implementation of DCMS. The attitude toward improvement was also important and mainly manifested by the support and commitment of top management, the involvement of the employees, the desire of improvement, the listening and active participation of employees and managers, a constant communication, as well as clear and well-defined objectives (C) 2016, IFAC (International of Automatic control) Hosting by Elsevier Ltd. This paper presents a novel control scheme for seven levels diode clamped multilevel inverter (DCMLI) topology based shunt hybrid active power filter which can compensate both dynamic reactive power and current harmonics in three phase three wire medium voltage distribution power systems as against many literatures that compensate fixed reactive power. It is on account of this novel control method, it can obtain better compensating performances compared with conventional fixed reactive power and harmonic compensation control. Dynamic reactive power compensation is supplied both active and passive filter parts of SHAPF with fixed dc link voltage. And also control algorithm for proposed SHAPF has shown its feasibility in suppressing harmonics produced by nonlinear loads. Theoretical analyses and simulation results are obtained from an actual industrial network model in PSCAD. The simulation results are demonstrated that harmonic compensation performance meets the IEEE-519 standard.

With near exponential growth predicted in the number of internet of Things (IoT) based devices within networked systems there is need of a means of providing their flexible and secure integration. Software Defined networking (SDN) is a concept that allows for the centralised control and configuration of network devices, and also provides opportunities for the dynamic control of network traffic. This paper proposes the use of an SDN gateway as a distributed means of monitoring the traffic originating from and directed to IoT based devices. This gateway can then both detect anomalous behaviour and perform an appropriate response (blocking, forwarding, or applying quality of Service). Initial results demonstrate that, while the addition of the attack detection functionality has an impact on the number of flow installations possible per second, it can successfully detect and block TCP and ICMP flood based attacks.

Software Defined networks (SDN) is a new technology providing a programmable network by separating control and data planes of computer networks. SDN technology can provide an increase in the performance of internet applications by implementing routing approaches specific to such applications. In this paper, we propose a server and end-to-end path selection approach for a content distribution network (CDN) based video streaming system. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can increase the performance of CDN based video streaming systems.

internet of Robotic Things (IoRT) is a new concept introduced for the first time by ABI Research. Unlike the internet of Things (IoT), IoRT provides an active sensorization and is considered as the new evolution of IoT. This new concept will bring new opportunities and challenges, while providing new business ideas for IoT and robotics' entrepreneurs. In this paper, we will focus particularly on two issues: (i) connectivity maintenance among multiple IoRT robots, and (ii) their collective coverage. We will propose (i) IoRT-based, and (ii) a neural networkcontrol scheme to efficiently maintain the global connectivity among multiple mobile robots to a desired quality-of-service (QoS) level. The proposed approaches will try to find a trade-off between collective coverage and communication quality. The IoT-based approach is based on the computation of the algebraic connectivity and the use of virtual force algorithm. The neural networkcontroller, in turn, is completely distributed and mimics perfectly the IoT-based approach. Results show that our approaches are efficient, in terms of convergence, connectivity, and energy consumption.
