The internet is poised to support new classes of industrial applications driven by large numbers of sensors and actuators generating and consuming sensor data streams. While the publish-subscribe (PubSub) architecture is well-suited for such large-scale data dissemination, existing over-the-top PubSub systems are not only vulnerable to network-induced performance degradation, but also unable to orchestrate the underlying network for better usage. This paper proposes a network-assisted PubSub architecture called SNAPS which enables seamless control of distributed PubSub brokers at the edge, as well as the network that interconnects them. SNAPS leverages SRv6-based network programmability to build and maintain network-efficient, shareable data distribution trees for brokers. The architecture is independent of broker implementation, making it suitable for "bringing your own brokers" at available edge locations. We describe how the network interconnecting the brokers can be programmed for efficient data distribution. Through simulation and prototype evaluation, we show the efficacy of SNAPS in providing better service for PubSub data delivery and better usage of the network resources.

Recently, the networking industries have gone through tremendous changes. It demands high-speed operations and complex problem-solving abilities. To manage these evolutions internet-of-Things (IoT) is a proposed solution from several technical corners. Numerous researchers and government organizations showing their interest to provide solutions with IoT implementation. Handling a huge amount of network data, its privacy and security, quality of Service (QoS) requirements and heterogeneity of underlying networking components are the various challenges in IoT implementations. To provide the solution, Software Defined networking (SDN) is becoming a bliss in managing such complex networking problems. The allocation of the Virtual Machines (VMs) into the end device is an NP-Hard combinatorial optimization problem. We formulate the problem by using simple Additive Weighing (SAW) or Weighted Sum Method (WSM) to allocate the VMs asymmetrically based on CPU Utilization and Memory usage to optimize the energy. The proposed algorithm ServerCons minimizes the number of live migrations and the number of nodes used as well as the energy usage is at par with the state of art algorithms such as First-Fit-Decreasing(FFD), Best-Fit-Decreasing (BFD), and Modified-Best-Fit-Decreasing (MBFD).

This work presents a novel regularization method for the identification of Nonlinear Autoregressive eXogenous (NARX) models. The regularization method promotes the exponential decay of the influence of past input samples on the current model output. This is done by penalizing the sensitivity of the NARX model simulated output with respect to the past inputs. This promotes the stability of the estimated models and improves the obtained model quality. The effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated through a simulation example, where a neural network NARX model is identified with this novel method. Moreover, it is shown that the proposed regularization approach improves the model accuracy in terms of simulation error performance compared to that of other regularization methods and model classes.

The article discusses the problem of qualitycontrol of a neural network model with feedback, without using a reference model of a dynamic system. An approach is proposed based on the analysis of time series of input and output of the observed neural network model using a cross-correlation function (CCF) and a neural network autoencoder. An autoencoder is used to detect the CCF anomaly that occurs due to changes in the dynamic response of the observed neural network model. A change in the dynamic response relative to the normal one, that is, a disorder, may mean inadequate behavior of the model. Experimental confirmation of the performance of the qualitycontrol method for an autonomous neural network model was carried out using the example of a model with GRU architecture, trained like a nonlinear dynamic object.

In recent years, the fusion of Cognitive Radio networks (CRNs) and the internet of Things (IoT) into Cognitive Radio Based IoT (CR-IoT) networks is a quite promising proposal. But, achieving a high level of stability for such networks is extremely challenging. In this work, we present an improved and stable Half-Duplex (HD) routing protocol with a unique sensing method and no Common control Channel (CCC) that employs a compound accumulative routing metric to select the required quality of Service (QoS) paths featured with the highest level of stability and maximal throughput. Moreover, the proposed protocol makes all the essential calculations while sending the Route Request Packet (RRQP) leading to reducing many overheads. Not only to this extent, but rather, the presented protocol introduces a path recovery technique during the HD data transmission stage. The simulation results demonstrate an explicit significant improvement over the most relevant protocol called the MultiCast-based Half Duplex Routing Protocol (MC-HDRP).
