In the present era, Mobile Cloud computing (MCC) is an emerging cloud service-model following the trend to extend the cloud to the edge of social networks in mobile environment;services offered are dynamic and scalable in nature. It includes numerous mobile devices of different configuration and sizes which are closely associated with users. Social networking has become very popular during the past few years, and it plays a significant role in our every affairs. These technologies have been providing a platform for easily sharing of data and applications over the internet. Essentially reflects real world relationships and allow users to communicate, create blogs, conduct real time conversations, and share information in medium such as text, picture, audio, video or multimedia. Form digital relationships between one another and in groups for both personal and professional affairs. Social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, twitter, Spotify, Pinterest, CLUBPENGUIN, Foursquare, TAGGED, and redditare few;gaining more popularity among the internet users in general and intensive users in particular. Cloud has truly impact on social network;increased unprecedented growth in usage over the wireless-heterogeneous network environment too. Whereas mobile could provide much more sustainable resource sharing mechanisms on demand and pay for use;exclusively in dynamic environment. We investigate the impact of cloud on social networks and usage analysis in mobile environment. Mobile Ad-hoc network (MANET) is an autonomous system of mobile nodes/devices connected by wireless links. These mobile nodes are free to move anywhere in the network without any centralized control. multimedia applications are gaining great popularity in MANETs as these networked and portable devices are becoming more powerful and more multimedia enhanced. These type of applications define a new set of requirements in which they operate put together called as Quality of Service(QoS). Hence, it is desired to discover an optimal path including QoS parameters like delay, etc to enable better performance of multimedia applications. This paper focuses on improving route maintenance for QoS in MANETs. The ad-hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) routing protocol is modified to provide QoS in terms of end-to-end delay and also aims to minimize the modifications to the protocol.

The credit mainly goes to the recent technological advances in wireless communications which consist of a wide range of technologies and applications to fulfill the particular needs of end-users in different deployment scenarios (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, and 3G/4G cellular systems). In such a heterogeneous wireless environment, one of the key ingredients to provide efficient ubiquitous computing, is the design of intelligent handoff algorithms, which select the optimal target network. This paper presents a novel approach for the design and implementation of a multi-criteria vertical handoff decision algorithm for heterogeneous wireless networks to achieve seamless mobility while maximizing end-users' satisfaction. After weighting the network parameters, a ranking algorithm based on the fuzzy extension of the the Techniques for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is used to prioritize all the available networks within the coverage of the mobile user. Simulation results are provided and compared with a benchmark for a single user scenario.

With the growth of usage of file sharing applications over internet, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networking system has recently drawn attentions of the researchers for various causes right from QoS issues to Security flaws. Due to absence of any centralized administrative management in P2P system, the network becomes highly vulnerable for various types of attacks. Therefore, the current paper discusses about a novel technique that uses recurrence relation to generate number of encryption version of the multimedia content, which is further more strengthened using optimization technique. Evolutionary Algorithm is considered for optimizing the encryption process. The accomplished results are finally evaluated with respect to correlation coefficient among the adjacent pixels, key analysis, and highest entropy of frames.
