Parallel computing model plays a great basic role in advanced computing;Based on researching existing parallel computing models, this paper brings forward a parallel computing model-Layer Forward Net toward Cubic-R architecture, and describes the model's structure, parameter, logic abstractly. Lastly towards typical N-Body problem, this paper designs a parallel algorithm, and analyses its complexity. The compared result shows that this model has low computing complexity, increase by layer and other merit.

Future trends for University distance learning systems involve integration of the mobile devices with the support of cloud computing services. The multimedia content that is delivered to the student's mobile devices provides an efficient learning environment. The main benefit, elaborated in this paper, is to use the processing power of the mobile cloud computing (MCC) environment for adapting the multimedia content to the context - aware network conditions of the mobile user. In this paper we also improve the QoE (Quality of Experience) metrics as a multi-dimensional construct of user perceptions and behaviors that is in direct relation to the QoL (Quality of Learning) in the process of distance learning.

Cloud&client computing uses both cloud resources and user-terminal resources, resulting in more efficiency then traditional cloud computing. But when implemented with Mobile agent technology, the mobile agents which moved to user terminal nodes are faced with single point attacks or co-attacks. We propose a safe and efficient task allocation algorithm, which not only ensures the subtasks' safety, but also is efficiency and with better load balancing.

The convergence of emerging real-time multimedia services, the increasing coverage of wireless networks and the ever-growing popularity of mobile devices, are leading to an era of user-centric multimedia wireless services. In this scenario, heterogeneous communications will co-exist and ensure that the end-user is always best connected. However, the Quality of Experience (QoE) support for emerging video applications in multi-operator environments remains a significant challenge and is crucial for the success of wireless multimedia systems. This paper presents a Quality of Experience Handover Architecture for Converged Heterogeneous Wireless Networks, called QoEHand. QoEHand allows users of multimedia content to be always best connected in IEEE 802.11e and IEEE 802.16e environments. Simulation results show the impact and benefit of the proposed solution in multi-access and multi-operator wireless scenarios by using objective and subjective QoE metrics.

After a large-scale disaster such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, mobile networks will face a massive number of call attempts for voice communication, which makes it difficult for them to maintain mobile services. In this paper, we propose a new approach to reducing massive traffic congestion under such circumstances and describe the results of an empirical study performed on large-scale evaluation facilities. Use of an architecture that utilizes a virtualization platform (e.g. Hypervisor) allows the reallocation of resources for service control systems as necessary and the resulting system is capable of adapting to service demand deviations. By using this capability, we explore the case wherein packet service resources are reduced to allow their reassignment to voice service. To evaluate the proposal, a 3GPP-compliant IMS (IP multimedia Subsystem) and EPC (Evolved Packet Core) system running on a virtualization platform were developed with associated networking systems and control and management systems. The evaluation assumes a situation in which the overall system supports 500 thousand customers and the level of congestion similar to that observed in the disaster of the Great East Japan Earthquake. The result shows that 1) voice service capacity increased more than 5 times compared to normal and 2) the reallocation was completed within about 30 minutes.

Due the advances of mobile technologies along with the cost reduction of mobile devices, increase in network capabilities and services, more and more people are using cellphones not only as communication devices but also as an enhanced application support platform, e.g. media players, content production tools, web browsers and social networking. The proliferation of such devices has created a large demand for mobile applications like multimedia social networking software. This work presents JAMPS (Java and Agent-based Mobile P2P Social network), a social network system for mobile devices, which allows users to share messages and multimedia files on their cell phones when they are physically co-located. In particular, JAMPS is based on a peer-to-peer network architecture enabled by software agents and developed through the JADE-LEAP agent-based framework. The developed system, evaluated on a testbed based on smart phones and personal computers, has shown a very good performance in terms of scalability.

Nowadays, ever expanding camera network makes it difficult to find the suspect from lengthy video records. This paper proposes a target-driven video summarization framework which provides two-step Filtered Summarized Video (FSV) for tracing suspects. Before the target is identified, users can find the target efficiently using the first-step FSV of any arbitrary camera. The first-step FSV filters all the attributes of the target including the time information and the target's categories. After identifying the target, the second-step FSV with additional spatio-temporal & appearance cues are triggered in the neighbor cameras. To enhance the accuracy of the object classification for FSV, we propose a Perspective Dependent Model (PDM) which consists of many grid-based models. Finally, the experimental results show that grid-based model is more robust than general detectors and the user study demonstrates better performance for target finding and tracking in camera network for surveillance.

The current growth of mobile devices enabled with GPS receptors, cameras, accelerometers, and Internet access offers new opportunities for new mobile ubiquitous multimedia applications. Such applications help local communities to share resources using geo-location, interactive mapping, augmented reality, and several data representations. This paper presents CityEvents, a mobile solution that provides real time awareness-based information of local events and news. The presented ubiquitous system is a simple and easy to use event guide, providing location-awareness and content-awareness ordering data to the user. The proposal was evaluated and demonstrated in iPhone devices and it is ready for use.

City management platform based on conception of smart city is a public network platform in which internet of things, cloud computing and information intelligent analysis technologies are synthetically applied. Great information resources about city management are conserved in the platform, and some parts of resources are important information related to security and benefit of country. Therefore a security system of information resources which is propitious to information safety and operation by legal users is required. Safety risks in city management platform are analyzed, and the construction of security system of information resources is designed on this basis. The resources securely sharing mechanism among multiple management domains is set up and a secure management uniform platform to network resources which is transparent to users and suitable for multi-applications is realized.
