Dynamic Interactive multimedia Scenes (DIMS) is the 3GPP technical specification for a rich media system on constrained networks and devices. In this paper, we present a solution to the issues related to rich media service for TV broadcast session. We propose an architecture of a rich media system based DIMS, and describe the detailed modules of the server and client side. Then, a primary realization comply with this architecture is provided. Finally, we study a case called TV Voting service for verifying that our solution is efficient.

Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks using Botnets became widely used in the Internet because of its efficiency and easy implementation. We will present in this paper a new architecture that stops DDoS attacks based on Botnet C&C (Command & control) and identify the Botmaster (the bots owner) machine. Unlike the researches done in the attack trace-back algorithms, the aim of this architecture is not only to determine the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) servers used to control the Botnet. But also to remove the bots from the infected machines and to revel the Botmaster identity This architecture is composed of a DDoS attacks detection agents*, spy agents* and a central agent* that coordinates between the other agents during the attack trace-back process. The trace-back process is based on hacking method in order to infiltrate the Botnet and get information about the attacker and the bots he uses. This architecture is designed to be used by the Internet service providers.

An overlay network simulation platform (ONSP) based on object-event scheme is presented in this paper. ONSP provide simulation methods for application-layer overlay network system. It can be used to simulate logistical environment based on wired/wireless mixed fundamental network. The platform abstracts components of application-layer network into object models, and expands capability of node and link by inheriting characteristic. The objected-based framework makes overlay network become services resource cluster. We also propose an event strategy to emulate user sessions, which will help to study end-to-end QoS assurance research. Some experiment examples show that, ONSP will provide powerful function for distributed multimedia application, application-layer QoS, and overlay service network.

In general, opening up to an IP service industry means that operators must invest in ensuring the necessary quality of service. As a result, QoS management in NGN has become a vital task, it is not acceptable to manually reconfigure each of the routers to provide the user with a good level of service. The SDN paradigm allows a controller to provide the network with the ability to follow a single control point. This paper introduces a new model of intelligent quality of service management in an MPLS based network, based on the SDN concept. The model offers a separation of data, control and transport plans for fast and efficient processing. Privacy CA defined by Trusted computing Group needs to be highly available and may collude with verifier to trace user's transactions. Direct Anonymous Attestation proposed in Trusted Platform Module Specification v1.2 is not efficient because it adopts many exponential operations and the Issuer may collude with verifier, too. In this paper, we propose a remote anonymous attestation scheme with an improved Privacy CA. The Privacy CA issues an Anonymous Attribute Credential for a Trusted computing Platform and doesn't need to be involved in all attestations. It is also not able to leak the privacy of users. The proposed scheme is high efficient and fulfills the requirements of anonymous credential system very well.

IP multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is a new network architecture for providing multimedia service in the next generation wireless networks, 3GPP has chosen Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) to be the signaling protocol in IMS. At present, IMS can only support nomadic mobility but not seamless mobility. So a new solution is required to support seamless mobility in IMS. In this paper, we proposed a new cross-layer mobility management solution based on the integration of Mobile IP and SIP. In our proposed solution, we introduce a cross-layer module between home agent and S-CSCF, which can realize information exchange between network layer and application layer. Through the cross-layer module, the binding update message received by home agent can be translated and forwarded to S-CSCF to trigger the registration procedure in IMS. So the signaling between mobile node and home network can be reduced dramatically. Finally, we analyzed our proposed three mobility management solutions theoretically and made simulations based on our analysis. The simulation results demonstrated that the cross-layer mobility management solution brings smaller handoff delay and lower signaling overhead to the network than the other two solutions. So we can conclude that cross-layer mobility management solution can provide better mobility management for real-time service in IMS and achieve good scalability.

This paper describes the design and implementation of Cascades, a scalable, flexible and composable middleware platform for multi-modal sensor networking applications. The middleware is designed to provide a way for application writers to use pre-packaged routines as well as incorporate their own application-tailored code when necessary. As sensor systems become more diverse in both hardware and sensing modalities, such systems support will become critical. Furthermore, the systems software must not only be flexible, but also be efficient and provide high performance. Experimentation in this paper compares and contrasts several possible implementations based upon testbed measurements on embedded devices. Our experimentation shows that such a system can indeed be constructed.

In order to ensure that the interference-limited multimedia code division multiple access mobile communication systems operate stably and reliably, a novel fast adaptive call admission control (FACAC) algorithm for wide-band code division multiple access air interface is introduced. The proposed algorithm operates a threshold comparison, which integrates many factors that affect the decision accuracy of a call admission control such as system load, quality of service, channel quality, interference level and so on. The proposed FACAC algorithm cooperates subtly with a power control and data rate adjustment scheme making able fast, accurate, adaptive threshold, simple and feasible decision-making about incoming calls. Simulation results verify the correctness of theoretic derivations and show that the proposed FACAC algorithm outperforms previous call admission control schemes in terms of overall system dropping probability and service blocking properties, respectively. It is believed that FACAC is a requisite algorithm for the next generation mobile communications systems.
