With the rapid development of information technology and social networking, collaborative efforts are usually required to build the consensus for some transdisciplinary projects. Therefore, the collaborative ability becomes an indispensable ability to maintain competitiveness for individuals. This study proposes a CBR-based approach to enhance the students' collaborative design abilities by utilizing domain knowledge and previous user experience. The experiment has been done in new media capstone project to evaluate the performance of this approach.

Prioritization of social media content is a difficult process due to the variability of data, different assessment criteria, criterion significance, and alternative members. In the present research, there is no precise approach for ranking social media content based on Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM). This study suggests a revolutionary approach to social media content prioritization based on the integration of AHP and TOPSIS. We present the benchmarking framework in this paper. The approach began with the extraction of the dataset, followed by the determination of the criteria and the construction of the TOPSIS decision matrix. 75 Instagram accounts were included in the data. In the meanwhile, AHP is utilized to determine the weighting based on expert judgments. A decision matrix is constructed using alternative criteria. The results indicate that expert weighing is appropriate, with a consistency rate of less than 10%. Additionally, the AHP and TOPSIS integration findings show that the prioritizing benchmark framework provides the similarity priority rating for the top 10 Instagram, based on the different individual expert weighting.

An algorithmic mapping of storage locations brings high storage efficiency to the storage system, but the loss of efficient scheduling makes systems prone to crashing at low usage. This paper uses the Ceph storage system as a research sample to analyze these issues and proposes a grading mapping adaptive storage resource collaborative optimization mechanism. This approach grading both the storage device and the storage content, and introduced random factors and influence factors as two-factors to quantify the grading mapping relationship between the two of them. This relation coordinates the storage systems’ performance and reliability. In addition, a collaborative storage algorithm is proposed to realize balanced storage efficiency and control data migration. The experimental results show that in comparison with the inherent mechanism in the traditional Ceph system, the proposed cooperative storage adaptation mechanism for data balancing has increased the average system usage by 17% and reduces data migration by 50% compared to the traditional research approach. © 2021, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

As a new computing paradigm, edge-device collaboration is able to reduce the task execution delay for the devices with limited energy. However, deterministic delay guarantee is unavailable due to the random task arrivals and time-varying channel fading. This paper proposes to study the task execution delay of edge-device collaboration from the probabilistic view of point. Specifically, an optimization problem is formulated with objective of minimizing the proportion of tasks that are not served in time. Then, a general delay violation probability for stochastic system is derived, based on which, the task execution delay violation probability at local device and that at the edge server are obtained respectively. Thereafter, the optimization problem can be transferred into a tractable one where task offloading proportion and task offloading rate can be jointly optimized. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is finally validated by extensive numerical simulations. © 2021, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Tourism is a vast industry in the world today and provides a country with a significant source of revenue and employment. Personalized multi-tour recommendations are challenging and time-consuming tasks. Recommended itineraries should fulfill tourists' desires and must be arranged within a limited time span. In addition, current multi-itinerary systems do not include Point Of Interest (POI) visit time in the suggested tour. The POI visit time vary according to the duration of the POI visit, e.g. longer duration of visits owing to the buying of tickets on the sot. To address these challenges, we use an algorithm named TRIPTOUR for suggesting multiple itineraries based on POI visit time, tourist attractions, popularity of itineraries, and the costs involved. The algorithm was developed to recommend itineraries for the visitors who want to visit unfamiliar locations. We also extracted related interface functionality from the Flickr dataset for the selection of different itineraries. The results demonstrate that the TRIPToUR approach outperforms the benchmark methods based on parameters such as precision, Recall, Fl-Score and the number of suggested itineraries.

With the development of Internet, various new applications and scenarios have made the cyberspace more complicated. Endless new applications and scenarios put forward deterministic Quality of Service (QoS) on existing networks. So as to solve the problem of deterministic QoS in existing networks, the IETF established the Deterministic networking (DetNet) working group. IETF DetNet working group aimed at providing an answer to deterministic QoS requirement with support for deterministic worst-case delay and zero packet loss for DetNet flows. DetNet working group proposed resource allocation, explicit paths, and service protection mechanism to provide QoS requirements mentioned *** such a context, we proposed a routing mechanism based on active network telemetry with Programmable Protocol-independent Packet Processors (P4). Firstly, we designed a more simplified probe format and improved the probe path decision algorithm in end-to-end range. Thus, we proposed a service adaptive multi-constraint heuristic routing strategy to guarantee delay and bandwidth requirements for DetNet QoS with Segment Routing (SR). Our simulation results showed that our routing mechanism can guarantee worst-case delay for DetNet QoS.

The growing multimedia services have brought unprecedented challenges to the traditional static network architecture. Moving Target Defense (MTD) has been proposed to solve the inherent disadvantages of existing defense techniques. As an important area of MTD research, Route Mutation (RM) can dynamically change the forwarding routes in the network. In our previous work, we applied Reinforcement Learning (RL) to RM. However, there are still two problems that need to be addressed. 1) We consider too few constraints to reflect the actual network situation. 2) Due to the slow rate of convergence, it becomes difficult for efficient deployment. In this paper, we propose a Proximal Policy Optimization Based Route Mutation (PPO-RM) scheme to solve these problems. Firstly, we utilize the Satisfiability Module Theory (SMT) to formalize the space of all possible mutated routes. Then, we design an RM algorithm based on Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) and implement it in the SDN controller. Finally, we simulate on Mininet to validate our method. The experiment results show that PPO-RM achieves the improvement in terms of convergence rate, defense performance, and network performance.

With the rapid development of multimedia services in wireless mobile networks, the video data traffic has increased exponentially. Traditional video traffic service based on cloud computing caused a large amount of traffic load and longer access delay, which severely reduces the quality of service (QoS) of users. Mobile edge caching as one of the use cases of mobile edge computing (MEC), can directly serve user requests so as to greatly reduce the traffic load and shorten access delay. At present, distributed caching is widely used in the caching deployment of base stations (BSs). However, the caching capacity of a single BS is generally particularly limited, which will degrade the performance of wireless mobile network. In this paper, a collaborative caching strategy in the heterogeneous MEC networks is designed, and the edge caching of macro base station (MBS) and small base stations (SBSs) is utilized to bring storage resources closer to users. In addition, an optimization problem of content caching is formulated to minimize the total delay cost of all users requesting content in the MEC networks. In order to solve this problem, cache management strategy (GCS) is proposed, which consists of greedy cache placement strategy and greedy cache update strategy. Finally, numerical simulations demonstrate that the GCS scheme effectively improves the cache hit rate, and significantly reduces the average delay and backhaul traffic load.

Image authentication remains a key issue in todays age of multimedia technology. With the easy availability of a multitude of hacking techniques as well as picture editing tools such as Photoshop, image security remains a key issue with a lot of research scope. As such, our paper presents a model to authenticate images transmitted across a non-secure channel. Cryptographic based hashing techniques have been shown to be more robust as compared to watermarking techniques. Therefore, we propose a model using Rotation invariant Local Phase Quantization (RI-LPQ) to generate a feature vector for the input image. LPQ is blur insensitive, and coupled with rotation invariance property, it provides an accurate representation of texture features of the image. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

multimedia security is of utmost important in this era of science and technology. The social networks in the internet witness huge number of digital images which need to be secured. Though lot of image encryption algorithms have been proposed by the scientific community, not all are worthy. In this aspect, a recently published image encryption algorithm is cryptanalyzed, and its weaknesses are revealed. The algorithm employs chaotic map to permute the pixels of the image row-wise and column-wise. After this, sequences from a neural network are generated for substitution in the image. This algorithm can be broken by a chosen plaintext attack, revealing the key. Apart from this, few changes in the algorithm are proposed to strengthen it, however none can really strengthen it without major modifications.
