Automatic tennis stroke recognition can help tennis players improve their training experience. Previous work has used sensors positions on both wrist and tennis racket, of which different physiological aspects bring different sensing capabilities. However, no comparison of the performance of both positions has been done yet. In this paper we comparatively assess wrist and racket sensor positions for tennis stroke detection and classification. We investigate detection and classification rates with 8 well-known stroke types and visualize their differences in 3D acceleration and angular velocity. Our stroke detection utilizes a peak detection with thresholding and windowing on the derivative of sensed acceleration, while for our stroke recognition we evaluate different feature sets and classification models. Despite the different physiological aspects of wrist and racket as sensor position, for a controlled environment results indicate similar performance in both stroke detection (98.5%-99.5%) and user-dependent and independent classification (89%-99%).

The COVID-19 has started expanding through the world and has become a pandemic since january 2020 . With the rise of new cases daily along with mass death, nation and society are becoming fearful of it. People from all over the world are expressing their thoughts and views about this pandemic in many social media platforms. Nowadays social media is one of the most common ways to express idea or verdict on something. With the improvement of modern computing technology, machines are constantly being conducted to interpret what people express in social media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc. These thoughts or views can be categorized and analysed based on sentiment. In this paper, we have analysed the sentiment of people what they express in social media by using tweets gathering from Twitter. We have categorized the sentiment of the tweets into five classes namely ’Strongly Negative’, ’Negative’, ’Neutral’, ’Positive’ and ’Strongly Positive’. Initially we use the Textblob of python for classification. This classification does not show good results and needs massive change as there lies many new terms related to COVID-19 which effects the sentiment of tweets. We have labeled automatically by creating Regular Expression rules with our new corrected word library which is created by analysing the tweets manually. We have trained a model with the updated labeled dataset with Long short-term memory(LSTM), Logistic Regression(LR), Multinomial Naive Bayes(MNB) and analysed the performance. We found that our data labelling shows better performance comparing to standard dataset.

Bandwidth limitations in wireless networks may be prohibitive for transmitting High Dynamic Range (HDR) video content to end users to take advantage of the capabilities of HDR displays. Instead, the Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) version of the content may be transmitted, which is inverse tone mapped to the visually rich HDR format at the receiver end. One of the challenges in this approach is that the mapping process causes color shifts. Failing to address this color change, degrades the overall visual quality of the generated HDR video. In this paper, we propose a perception-based color adjustment method that is capable of preserving the hue of colors and produces HDR colors that closely follow their SDR counterparts, while causing negligible luminance change. Performance evaluations show that our method outperforms existing state-of-the-art color adjustment methods.

As a client demands more today, so as a social media strategist, it's our duty to bring on the table the things which really matter. We will showcase and walk-through to case studies from businesses, brands, small and medium enterprises, freelancers, to see how things are in action. it is easy to design strategy on an excel sheet, on a power point presentation, but seeing things in action, seeing things right on a Facebook feed or on a post or an Instagram feed will give us an idea how could we process our thought process or strategy into action.

Smart glasses allow for gaze gesture passwords as a hands-free form of mobile authentication. However, pupil movements for password input are easily observed by attackers, who thereby can derive the password. In this paper we investigate closed-eye gaze gesture passwords with EOG sensors in smart glasses. We propose an approach to detect and recognize closed-eye gaze gestures, together with a 7 and 9 character gaze gesture alphabet. Our evaluation indicates good gaze gesture detection rates. However, recognition is challenging specifically for vertical eye movements with 71.2%-86.5% accuracy and better results for opened than closed eyes. We further find that closed-eye gaze gesture passwords are difficult to attack from observations with 0% success rate in our evaluation, while attacks on open eye passwords succeed with 61%. This indicates that closed-eye gaze gesture passwords protect the authentication secret significantly better than their open eye counterparts.

This paper improves the parallel multi-dimensional indexing system which stores data into several multi-dimensional indexes and retrieves required data from them in parallel. This system treats a set of data as a rectangle, which covers the data. The rectangle is inserted into an index. We must consider two important points. One is that the area of each index covers as wide as possible so that many indexes could be used in the retrieval. The other is that the number of rectangles which each index has is the same as possible so that the time in finishing the retrieval on each index could be the same as possible. The conventional system selects an index to which a rectangle is moved by using the area that the index covers and the number of rectangles that the index has. The conventional system first evaluates the degree of the expansion of area and then evaluates the number of rectangles. This paper changes the evaluation order. The number of rectangles is firstly evaluated. It is experimentally shown that the new evaluation order gives us good retrieval performance.

In this paper, a radio-over-fiber distributed antenna system (ROF-DAS) and application of wireless positioning are proposed. The modified Medium Access Control (MAC) frame, optical switch array, ROF network based on star topology and Reflective Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (RSOA) are employed to design the system. Based on the structure, wireless positioning could be achieved by Time Division Multiplexing-Time Difference of Arrival (TDM-TDOA) technology combined with Chan assisted Taylor algorithm. The quality of signal transmission is evaluated by Q Factor, and the positioning accuracy is performed in terms of the antennas amount using the positioning algorithm.

In Industry 4.0, Cyber physical system (CPS) is suffered from queuing delay during the process of data gathering and feedback generation by which affects the efficiency of providing hard real-time guarantees. Hard real-time cyber physical system requires software and hardware to operate strictly within the deadline. Time-Sensitive Software-Defined networking (TSSDN) is an architecture which utilizes the centralized network controller in Software-Defined networking (SDN) to facilitate the operation of software and hardware in CPS globally. Time-sensitive-aware scheduling traffic system in TSSDN is capable to minimize the queuing delay in the network which leads to hard real-time guarantees. Hence, the potential opportunities of TSSDN in automation industry has motivate the further investigate of its current states. This paper will discuss the challenges of TSSDN and suggest its future direction enhancement. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

The surveillance-based systems integrate a large number of heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (WSNs) to collect, process, and analyze sensing data for the purpose of detecting and identifying security threats. Some of the major challenges facing these applications are ubiquitous access to sensing data, task processing overhead, data privacy and security, storage of voluminous data. All of this requires the development of novel approaches that ensure scalability and security. In this context, the design and development of Cloud WSNs enables the integration of several WSNs to enhance the reliability of these networks and, provide a powerful and scalable infrastructure for large-scale processing and storage tasks. With the recent smartphone developments, these devices can also be used as resources-rich sensors part of a Sensor cloud architecture in charge of monitoring sensitive events and collecting data to provide various, scalable, and secure services. This paper proposes to exploit the powerful capabilities of smartphones in order to use them as physical agents to provide surveillance-based services to customers. A self-reconfigurable Cloud-based smartphone infrastructure is proposed to provide wide range of customized surveillance-based services that exploit the sensing capabilities of these agents. Besides, novel attribute-based encryption protocols are proposed to protect the collected sensing data against forgery, illegal misuse or eavesdropping. After we validate the proposed security protocol using AVISPA, we model several interactions and messages exchanged inside the proposed self- reconfigurable Cloud WSN platform using an emerging communication and networking protocol named the eX-tensible Message and Presence Protocol (XMPP).

An effective controller placement is vital in software-defined networking (SDN). The configuration of controller, switch, link and backup controller in a network will affect the cost of network planning. Hitherto, researchers in SDN have been addressing many issues related to SDN controller placement issues but only suggestion on the idea of deployment of backup controller (BC) placement due to network malfunction and attack. Here, we would like to propose an attack-aware recovery placement scheme with the main objective in reducing the network planning cost as well as providing uninterrupted service for SDN. Our approach is derived from a hybrid combination of heuristic and greedy strategy to generate array of combinations in a relative short time as compared to k-combination method that is highly complex and requires longer computation time. As a preventive technique, the generated BC will be connected to a fixed controller at a node to be readily used as a replacement in the event where controller malfunction occur due to attack and failure. The heuristic algorithm demonstrated a significant decrease in computation time required to produce distinct combination of controller by 99.25% compared to k-combination approach. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.
