Traditional intelligent recognition algorithm models of insulators are large and mostly completed by back-end servers, with large data transmission volume, high power consumption and poor real-time performance at the front and rear ends. In this paper, a miniature SSD convolutional neural network model is designed to enable it to be deployed in embedded edge computing devices and to recognize video images of insulators. Firstly, the low-latitude Core convolution group subnetwork is used to replace the high-latitude VGG network to extract the shallow features of the insulator, and then the auxiliary feature extraction subnetwork is used to predict the target, so as to reduce the number of model parameters. The model weight files generated by the training were transplanted to the edge computing platform of Jetson nano equipped with vision sensor. OpenCV was used to extract frames from the video images captured by vision sensor every 1 ms and real-time recognition performance was compared under different video resolutions. Experimental results show that the scheme reduces data transmission and realizes low delay recognition. The average recognition frame rate of insulator video images is 16.8 FPS and 19.7 FPS respectively at 1280*720 and 640*480 resolutions. The recognition process is relatively smooth and the recognition accuracy can reach 91.53%. The energy consumption of the whole identification process is less than 5W, which is an order of magnitude lower than that of traditional servers.

We design a low complexity decentralized learning algorithm to train a recently proposed large neural network in distributed processing nodes (workers). We assume the communication network between the workers is synchronized and can be modeled as a doubly-stochastic mixing matrix without having any master node. In our setup, the training data is distributed among the workers but is not shared in the training process due to privacy and security concerns. Using alternating-direction-method-of-multipliers (ADMM) along with a layer-wise convex optimization approach, we propose a decentralized learning algorithm which enjoys low computational complexity and communication cost among the workers. We show that it is possible to achieve equivalent learning performance as if the data is available in a single place. Finally, we experimentally illustrate the time complexity and convergence behavior of the algorithm.

The paper proposes a new approach to multicriteria optimization of the structure of secure information interaction in distributed computing systems. A distinguishing feature of the approach is the use of the sequential concessions method. This approach provides the acceptable flexibility in comparing the system construction variants by taking into account not only the priority of the system according to efficiency indicators, but also the relationships of the indicators. The mathematical basis of the proposed method is considered. The procedure of implementation of the proposed method for ensuring security of information interaction in a distributed hierarchical automated control system is demonstrated, and its experimental assessment is given.

As information technology develops and prevails across the globe, the informatization and data processing efficiency in the aquaculture field are exerting increasing impact on the intelligent conversion of this field. The aquaculture water quality indicators were analyzed by a feedforward error back propagation algorithm (BP neural network) with strong nonlinear mapping capacity, and the complicated nonlinear relations among the parameters of the aquaculture environment were solved. An aquaculture element analysis model was proposed, the Johnson attribute reduction algorithm based on the discernibility matrix was used to optimize the traditional algorithm, and the network convergence speed was increased under a given accuracy. The MapReduece distributed programming model was then used to perform parallel design of the BP neural network algorithm to meet the needs of massive data processing in aquaculture platforms. Also, case studies were performed to analyze the aquaculture element model and the parallel learning algorithm, and the big data framework design and data analysis method are integrated to develop an efficient, fault-tolerant aquaculture data management, mining, visualization big data system.

We study solution methods for (strongly-)convex-(strongly)-concave Saddle-Point Problems (SPPs) over networks of two type-master/workers (thus centralized) architectures and mesh (thus decentralized) networks. The local functions at each node are assumed to be similar, due to statistical data similarity or otherwise. We establish lower complexity bounds for a fairly general class of algorithms solving the SPP We show that a given suboptimality ε > 0 is achieved over master/workers networks in Ω(Δ·δ/μ·log(1/ε)) rounds of communications, where δ > 0 measures the degree of similarity of the local functions, μ is their strong convexity constant, and Δ is the diameter of the network. The lower communication complexity bound over mesh networks reads Ω(1/√ρ·δ/μ · log(1/ε)), where ρ is the (normalized) eigengap of the gossip matrix used for the communication between neighbouring nodes. We then propose algorithms matching the lower bounds over either types of networks (up to log-factors). We assess the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms on a robust regression problem.

In recent years, attacks on the DNS continue to proliferate due to the lack of security mechanisms. DNS over HTTPS (DoH) is a standard developed for encrypting plaintext DNS to protect user privacy, but attackers may use this protocol to bypass enterprise firewalls and exfiltrate private data through the establishment of DNS tunnels. Traditional DNS tunnel detection methods based on packet inspection are no longer applicable because of DNS encryption. Although popular machine learning methods are widely used, it require expert knowledge to extract statistical feature sets which are complicated. In order to solve the problem of detecting encrypted DNS tunnels, we propose an end-to-end anomaly detection model based on a variational autoencoder which incorporates the attention mechanism. By modeling the raw flow sequence data at the flow-level, we use bidirectional GRU-based network to automatically learn the feature representations and detect anomalies via reconstruction error. We conducted experiments on the public dataset, which contains raw normal DoH traffic and abnormal DNS tunnel traffic. The results show that our model achieves excellent performance, and has the ability to identify unknown DNS tunnels.

As the accuracy rate of artificial intelligence based applications increased, they have started to be used in different areas. Artifical neural networks (ANN) can be very successful for extracting meaningful data from features by processing complex data. Well-trained models can solve difficult problems with high a high accuracy rate. In this study, 2 different ANN models have been developed to detect malicious users who want to access high-security servers. These models are tested from simple to complex: Shallow neural network (SNN), Deep neural network (DNN), and Auto Encoder are used to reduce features. All models are trained with CICIDS2017 dataset. Server connection requests are classified as normal or malicious (Brute Force, Web Attack, In ltration, Botnet or DDoS) with 98.45% accuracy rate.
