Parameter updating is an important stage in parallelism-based distributed deep learning. Synchronous methods are widely used in distributed training the Deep Neural Networks (DNNs). To reduce the communication and synchronization overhead of synchronous methods, decreasing the synchronization frequency (e.g., every n mini-batches) is a straightforward approach. However, it often suffers from poor convergence. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm of integrating Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) into the distributed training process of DNNs to automatically compute new parameters. In the proposed algorithm, a computing work is encoded by a particle, the weights of DNNs and the training loss are modeled by the particle attributes. At each synchronization stage, the weights are updated by PSO from the sub weights gathered from all workers, instead of averaging the weights or the gradients. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, the experiments are performed on two commonly used image classification benchmarks: MNIST and CIFAR10, and compared with the peer competitors at multiple different synchronization configurations. The experimental results demonstrate the competitiveness of the proposed algorithm.

image forgery detection is the area of research in the field of biometric and forensics. Digital pictures are the resource of data. In the present world of technology, image processing software tools have developed to generate and modify digital images from one location to another. With the current technology, it is simple to establish image forgery by addition and subtraction of the components from the pictures that lead to image interfering. Copy-move image forgery is created by copying and pasting the element in a similar image. Hence, copy-move forgery has become an area of research in the image forensic unit. Various methods have been implemented to detect digital image forgery. Some issues still required to resolve like time complexity, fake, and blurred image. In existing research, the block and feature-based approach used to remove a forged area from the image using SIFT and RANSAC algorithm. The forgery dataset of the 80 pictures collected to achieve accuracy of up to 95%. In the research work, the PBFOA method has been implemented to optimize and extract the features using the component analysis method. FCM is used for image segmentation in the input image. PBFOA is based on an optimization process to select valuable features based on the calculation of the fitness function. In this method, two steps are used to re-verify the instance, features (i) Slower and faster condition. BFOA steps are described in detail in this research paper. Initial steps, Spread the feature set in the whole system. In the rapid condition selected and to eliminate the valuable features one at a time, then reproduction phase is implemented with the help of the fitness function to recover the feature values and detect the forgery information in the uploaded image. The simulation setup using MATLAB 2016a version and improve the accuracy rate and image quality parameter. Remote sensing data has known an explosive growth in the past decade. This has led to the need for efficient dimensionality reduction techniques, mathematical procedures that transform the high-dimensional data into a meaningful, reduced representation. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a well-known dimensionality reduction technique used in the field of hyperspectral satellite images. However, PCA suffers from high computational costs and increased complexity, an issue that led to elaborating PCA adaptations capable of running on multi-core computing architectures. This paper proposes a parallel implementation of the geometrical PCA approximation (gaPCA) algorithm. Three parallel implementations are studied: two on multi-core CPUs and a NVIDIA Graphics processing Units (GPU) CUDA accelerated implementation. Our results show significant speedups of the parallel implementations when applied on hyperspectral image datasets. Our results show that on the Intel Core i5 CPU, Python multi-core implementation is up to 2.01 x faster than its Matlab equivalent. Our GPU PyCUDA implementation is considerably faster than both our Python multi-core CPU implementations: up to 1.76 x faster than Intel Core i5-6200U and up to 5.72x faster than the NVIDIA Jetson Nano quad-core ARM A53 CPU. We performed data analysis on the output data for the three methods and the maxim relative error was less than 0.001%.

Deep image-based modeling received lots of attention in recent years, yet the parallel problem of sketch-based modeling has only been briefly studied, often as a potential application. In this work, for the first time, we identify the main differences between sketch and image inputs: (i) style variance, (ii) imprecise perspective, and (iii) sparsity. We discuss why each of these differences can pose a challenge, and even make a certain class of image-based methods inapplicable. We study alternative solutions to address each of the difference. By doing so, we drive out a few important insights: (i) sparsity commonly results in an incorrect prediction of foreground versus background, (ii) diversity of human styles, if not taken into account, can lead to very poor generalization properties, and finally (iii) unless a dedicated sketching interface is used, one can not expect sketches to match a perspective of a fixed viewpoint. Finally, we compare a set of representative deep single-image modeling solutions and show how their performance can be improved to tackle sketch input by taking into consideration the identified critical differences.

An improved Monte Carlo Localization Boxed (MCB) localization Algorithm based on received signal strength indicator (RSSI) for mobile wireless sensor networks node localization is proposed. Aiming at the characteristics of instantaneity, mobility and complexity of mobile node location, this algorithm combines RSSI ranging model with MCL algorithm which has high positioning accuracy, good performance and wide application. It establishes anchor node sampling box by using the actual distance of signal propagation obtained, and effectively reduces the sampling range. The simulation results show that this algorithm improves the sampling efficiency, shortens the sampling time, and increases the positioning accuracy compared to the MCL algorithm. It is a low-cost, low-power and low-complexity localization algorithm without additional hardware and communication overhead. © 2019 IEEE.

distributed Virtual Reality (DVR) systems enable geographically dispersed users to interact in a shared virtual environment. The realism of the interaction is crucial to increase the feeling of co-presence. Latency, produced either by hard- or software components of DVR applications, impedes reaching high realism levels of the DVR experience. For example, the time delay between the user's motion and the corresponding display rendering of the DVR system might lead to adverse effects such as a reduced sense of presence or motion sickness. One way of minimizing the latency is to predict user's motion and thus compensate for the inherent latency in the system. In order to address this problem, we propose a neural network 3D pose tracking and prediction system with latency guarantees for end-to-end avatar reconstruction. We evaluate and compare our system against multiple traditional methods and provide a thorough analysis on real-world human motion data.

Many image denoising methods achieve state-of-the-art performance with little consideration of computation efficiency. With the popularity of high-definition imaging devices, these denoising methods do not scale well to the high-definition images. Therefore, a fast image denoising method is proposed to meet the demand of processing high-definition images. Based on the analysis of the distribution of the distance distrs between the similar patches and their reference patches from a semantic aspect, the large distrs s was found to occur while their contribution to the overall distribution was small. Therefore, the nonlocal filters was replaced in trainable non-local reaction diffusion (TNLRD) with local filters. For image with 4096 X 4096 resolution, the proposed method runs about 6 times faster than TNLRD via a single-thread CPU implementation. And the GPU implementation of the proposed method is about 10 times faster than the CPU implementation. Furthermore, the proposed model achieves competing denoising performance compared with TNLRD in terms of PSNR and SSIM. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2019.

For the demand of domestic digital film industry to improve the quality and efficiency of special effects film and television works, This paper studies the transmission quality of virtual and real fusion and the fusion efficiency, and proposes a better video transmission method combined with virtual and real fusion technology, which made the digital video industry more complete. Firstly, the Hadoop platform is built as the basis of distributed transmission, and then the parallel distributed transmission method and the virtual and real fusion technology proposed in this paper are combined to complete the experiment. In this paper, the efficiency of this method is compared with other existing advanced transmission methods. The experimental results show that the efficiency and transmission quality are improved compared with other methods. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

With the development of intelligent traffic system, high-definition cameras are spread along the urban roads. These devices transmit real-time captured images to data center for multi-purpose usability, but these bring higher requirements on network and storage capacity of the traffic images collection system. To address these problems, we proposed a compressed representation method for traffic images and collection system architecture. Firstly, the method proposed in this paper designed a distributed data collection system for traffic images based on edge computing mode. Secondly, we studied on the image feature representation methods for vehicle type/version retrieval, and formed a compressed representation method based on structural relationships selections. In this method, the retrieval precision reaches to 97.78% with the recall ratio of 90%, which proved the usability in this image collection system. Finally, we set up an analysis model based on Petri-net to observe the system requirements on storage, computing and transmission with different setting parameters. This model is powerful on finding bottlenecks of system in early stage and keeping balance in multi-aspects. The simulation experiments show that the data volume needs to be transported and preserved was compressed to 1/2250 comparing to the method of original images and the system transport delay was reduced more than 1/9 of original method. The experimental result showed that compared with the original collection method, the amount of data to be transmitted and stored was compressed by 1/2250, and the system transmission delay of the system was reduced to 1/9.15. This distributed data collection method and system proposed in this paper provided a novel referable revolution for traffic images processing system in intelligent traffics. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Relationships in online social networks often imply social connections in real life. An accurate understanding of relationship types benefits many applications, e.g. social advertising and recommendation. Some recent attempts have been proposed to classify user relationships into predefined types with the help of pre-labeled relationships or abundant interaction features on relationships. Unfortunately, both relationship feature data and label data are very sparse in real social platforms like WeChat, rendering existing methods inapplicable. In this paper, we present an in-depth analysis of WeChat relationships to identify the major challenges for the relationship classification task. To tackle the challenges, we propose a Local Community-based Edge Classification (LoCEC) framework that classifies user relationships in a social network into real-world social connection types. LoCEC enforces a three-phase processing, namely local community detection, community classification and relationship classification, to address the sparsity issue of relationship features and relationship labels. Moreover, LoCEC is designed to handle large-scale networks by allowing parallel and distributed processing. We conduct extensive experiments on the real-world WeChat network with hundreds of billions of edges to validate the effectiveness and efficiency of LoCEC.
