With the penetration of new energy into the distribution network, the importance of the part of the power system of the distribution network is becoming more and more obvious, and the stability of the distribution network is becoming more and more important. With the increase of the power and photovoltaic systems in the station area of the distribution network, the stability of the control strategy based on mutual power supply is becoming more and more important. The distribution network topology of multiple regions containing new energy was analyzed, the distribution network topology of two regions containing new energy was constructed based on the MATLAB platform, and the stability of power reciprocity in the distribution network was analyzed by bode diagram, pole, zero distribution diagram and Nyquist curve diagram of input and output of wind power side in distribution region. It has important application value in improving the performance of the distribution network.

One of the most challenging tasks that autonomous networkcontrolsystems need to face is to provision end-to-end packet flows spanning several domains. With the advent of time sensitive networking, the co-existence of services and infrastructure with and without time sensitive capabilities adds more complexity to the end-to-end flow management. In particular, avoiding unproper provisioning decisions is key to guarantee stringent quality of service requirements. In this demo, we will showcase an integrated control plane for provisioning flows spanning through domains with and without TSN capabilities. The decision making process will be supported by a digital twin in charge of estimating expected performance indicators before path provisioning acceptance.

An adaptive neural network path tracking control algorithm based on sideslip angle compensation is proposed to solve the problem of low tracking accuracy for underactuated ship under extreme sea conditions. Firstly, a sideslip angle estimator based on predictive tracking error was designed based on the traditional line-of-sight (LOS) algorithm. The problem of low tracking accuracy under time-varying wind and current disturbances was solved by introducing sideslip angle compensation. Then, an adaptive neural network disturbance observer was designed based on the sliding mode control, to replace the discontinuities of sliding mode control, which can improve the anti-interference performance of the algorithm and eliminate the chattering problem of control instructions caused by discontinuities. The simulation results showed that the proposed path tracking control algorithm can effectively improve the control accuracy of track tracking in the extreme sea conditions.

Over recent years, many Industrial control System (ICS) components have been exposed to both the Internet and corporate networks to enhance the management of industrial processes. However., this increased exposure has often taken place without adequate consideration for cybersecurity, making industrial networks more vulnerable to cyberattacks. In this context, digital twins have emerged as innovative solutions to evaluate novel cyber-defense strategies that can mitigate threats affecting industrial networks. Unfortunately, to the best of the authors' knowledge, there is no digital twin that is flexible enough to integrate both physical and virtualized components according to user preferences while simultaneously supporting novel approaches based on the Software-Defined networking (SDN) paradigm. To address these issues, we developed a flexible hybrid/virtual digital twin that mimics a physical Microgrid testbed known as EPIC. Specifically, our solution leverages virtualization and containerization to create a lightweight platform that can include the widest possible range of vulnerabilities. Furthermore, we employ Open vSwitch to implement SDN-based methodologies and integrate physical components into our platform. Lastly, we provide a comprehensive tool that collects all possible logs from the testbed.
Internet access is the primary motivating factor behind the revolutionary modern digital era. Almost everything is connected to the Internet because of the Internet of Things (IoT) concept. However, because typical IP...

Iris verification systems encounter challenges associated with false positive and false negative occurrences, constituting an issue pervasive across various verification systems. This paper hypothesizes that, in many cases, the false negatives and positives occurred from insufficient iris and pupil segmentation. Thus, improving iris segmentation can reduce them to some extent. Therefore, this study proposes a framework that integrates the Segment Anything Model (SAM), the state-of-the-art open-source model trained with the most extensive dataset to date, into the conventional one based on the Hough transform and active contour algorithm to improve the segmentation performance. In order to effectively make use of SAM, the initial point must be set appropriately. A method for such initialization is also proposed. In addition, false positives can be reduced further by adopting a neural network-based classifier to the conventional template-matching and decision-making step. Specifically, this paper proposes to fully use the Hamming vector obtained from the shifting and Hamming-distance-computing step instead of using only the minimum entry of the vector. We develop and evaluate the proposed method on the CASIA-IrisV2 dataset. The evaluation result shows that the proposed method outperforms a baseline in almost all evaluation metrics except recall. The precision significantly increased from 7.01% to 94.99%, the recall slightly dropped from 83.27% to 71.92%, the F-1 score increased from 12.94% to 81.86%, the F-0.5 score increased from 8.59% to 89.27%, the balanced accuracy increased from 82.73% to 84.95%, and the accuracy increased from 82.21% to 99.58%.

The ongoing deployment of 5G networks and the heterogeneity of carrier aggregation in 4G networks have resulted in vast differences of cellular networkperformance across different locations. Especially for mobile users, such fluctuation in performance based on location can result in a highly degraded user experience. The problem is compounded by the fact that popular TCP congestion control variants, such as CUBIC and BBR, can be slow to adjust their congestion window when network conditions change rapidly. In this paper, we analyze the extent to which the network conditions can change over brief periods of time for mobile users by performing repeated drive tests on a route with a diverse network coverage. We show that due to differences in the availability of different 4G and 5G carriers, the total carrier bandwidth available to a user can change multiple times in a period of a few seconds, which results in major changes of achievable throughput. As TCP can be slow in adjusting its congestion window, this can result in either low bandwidth utilization or high delays due to bufferbloat. We propose that for a more efficient bandwidth utilization, the information about total carrier bandwidth could be used in TCP congestion control.
