This paper presents a voltage reference circuit operational from a 0.5V supply which is based on the zero-temperature coefficient (ZTC) operating point of a MOS transistor. The ZTC condition is reviewed and it is found that a MOSFET biased below its ZTC point with a PTAT current source can yield a temperature stable output at this low supply voltage. With this idea in mind, a circuit which does not rely on the availability of special devices like Shottky diodes is designed in 130nm CMOS. Simulations show that this circuit generates an average reference voltage of 318 mV from a 0.5V supply. The temperature coefficient is 154 ppm/K and the voltage reference has a power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 41 dB at dC.

Perpendicular NanoMagnet Logic (pNML) can be considered one of the most interesting emerging technology since it has unique features that cannot be naturally implemented with standard transistor technologies. Each device can act both as a memory and a logic circuit. Because of its intrinsic properties, this technology makes it possible to easily design 3d circuits. In this paper, we propose several complex architectures by exploiting the 3d integrability of the pNML technology. The presented circuits belong to different categories, covering both combinational and sequential circuits. Memory elements and logic circuits have been designed and simulated taking into account the technology constraints. As an absolute novelty, the first Finite State Machine based on pNML is also introduced.

In Sigma-delta modulator system design the loop filter coefficients are calculated based on ideal circuit behavior. Advancing to an actual circuit implementation based on operational amplifiers, which show finite gain bandwidth products, a deviation of these coefficients is observed. These influences which were not considered during initial coefficient development can lead to performance degradation or even instability. This paper presents an analysis of the influence of the 3 dB bandwidth and the dC gain of an opamp to the signal and noise transfer function of a third order Sigma-delta modulator. Based on a mathematical analysis of the transfer functions the opamp's influences on a complex integrator and a Tow-Thomas biquad are discussed in order to give a target specification for a circuit implementation.

due to the lack of sophisticated component libraries for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), highly optimized MEMS sensors are currently designed using a polygon-driven design flow. The advantage of this design flow is its accurate mechanical simulation, but it lacks a method for analyzing the dynamic parasitic electrostatic effects arising from the electric coupling between (stationary) wiring and structures in motion. In order to close this gap, we present a method that enables the parasitics arising from in-plane, sensor-structure motion to be extracted quasi-dynamically. With the method's structural-recognition feature we can analyze and optimize dynamic parasitic electrostatic effects.

In this digital age, turbo Codes have been largely favoured in various high speed wireless communication systems standards (3GPP-LTE, WiMAX and WiFi). These codes are preferred due to their high performance that corresponds to that of the Shannon limit. due to the current trends in wireless communications, there has been a demand for high throughput and power efficiency leading to revolutionary research. The ASIP architecture, which is the multi-application specific instruction processor, has been extensively preferred for turbo decoders due to high-throughput and flexibility. The multi-ASIP turbo decoders are successfully brought forth by utilization of a network-on-chip (NoC) structure. This paper incorporates the study of the turbo decoding process, as well as analyzing the addressing patterns for various communication standards. To reduce the complexity of the NoC, mathematical calculation sequence and sub networking techniques are proposed. The arbitration of the network is done by lottery routing algorithm. The final results obtained from the structure proposed in this paper show a massive breakthrough compared to Network-on-chip (NoC). The results show a 50% improvement for High Speed downlink Packet Access (HSdPA) and a breakthrough of 13% for Long Term Evolution (LTE) in throughput to area efficiency. Uganda's Mobile Communication sector is one of the fastest growing in Africa and exhibits second highest internet growth in East Africa. The quantity of versatile mobile users had arrived at 23.24 million (23,249,967) with tele-density of 60 in September 2018 [2], which is about fifty percent portion of the nation's populace (in 2018). This has alarmed the research on the optimum utilization of bandwidth and voice channels used in GSM networks being prevailed in Uganda which are indeed two prominent constraints in mobile communication. The spectrum re-farming seems to be the only possible solution in near future however it additionally has some key difficulties like intricacy of operation and user disturbances. This research paper proposes and exhibits the investigation of data Interleaving Technique in Mobile Communication in GSM networks of Kampala, Uganda. The simulation results show that significant enhancement of 54.22% in channel utilization and bandwidth optimization is possible with negligible overhead of 0.03%. Consequently it's easily feasible to accommodate more mobile internet users in limited allotted bandwidth and use the limited allotted spectrum efficiently.

Collusion attack is one of the techniques used for unauthorized removal of embedded marks. In this paper, we propose a robust 3d mesh fingerprinting scheme for an anti-collusion code. In contrast to the existing robust mesh watermarking which provides unsuitable primitives for anti-collusion code, the proposed method has well-operated capacity to carry the anti-collusion fingerprint code. In order to minimize the detection error, we also modeled the response of the detector and herein present optimized thresholds for our method. Based on the experiments, the proposed method outperformed conventional robust mesh watermarking against collusion attack in all cases.

In this work, a quasi-static implementation of the partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method for the analysis of planar radiofrequency (RF) and microwave (uW) components is proposed. The procedure is divided in three parts. First, an alternative PEEC formulation based on energy concepts is described. Second, a smart mesh generator is developed in order to provide an accurate solution at minimum computational costs, taking into account both geometry and device physics as metrics for the correct sizing of mesh elements. And third, a weighted combination of the 2d and 3d quasi-static Green's functions (GF) is proposed for extending the valid frequency range of the quasi-static approximation. It is shown that the 3d-GF is very accurate at low frequency, whereas the 2d-GF is more suitable at higher frequencies. Numerical examples are compared to experimental data for different passive components and technologies in a wide frequency range.

In this paper an electronically tunable current-mode universal filter is proposed, which employing only a single active element namely Multi-X current controlled conveyor (MX-CCCII), and two grounded capacitors. The proposed circuit using the minimum component, so it is easily integrable on IC. Also, the circuit provide the low input impedance for the input current and high output impedance for output currents so, it is easily cascadable at the input and output node. The circuit provides the filter functions: LP, HP, BP, and BR simultaneously without need of any matching condition. The angular frequency (\omega_o) is electronically tunable and do not depend on the quality factor (Q). The effects of non-idealities and parasitics of active element on the circuit performances are discussed. The results are verified through PSPICE simulation using a 0.25~\mu \textm TSMC model with the supply voltages of ±125 V. © 2018 IEEE.
